Axial acoustic radiation force on an elastic spherical shell near an impedance boundary for zero-order quasi-bessel-Gauss beam

Shell structures have increasingly widespread applications in biomedical ultrasound fields such as contrast agents and drug delivery,which requires the precise prediction of the acoustic radiation force under various circumstances to improve the system *** acoustic radiation force exerted by a zero-order quasi-bessel-Gauss beam on an elastic spherical shell near an impedance boundary is theoretically and numerically studied in this *** means of the finite series method and the image theory,a zero-order quasi-bessel-Gauss beam is expanded in terms of spherical harmonic functions,and the exact solution of the acoustic radiation force is derived based on the acoustic scattering *** acoustic radiation force function,which represents the radiation force per unit energy density and per unit cross-sectional surface,is especially *** simulated results for a polymethyl methacrylate shell and an aluminum shell are provided to illustrate the behavior of acoustic radiation force in this *** simulated results show the oscillatory property and the negative radiation force caused by the impedance *** appropriate relative thickness of the shell can generate sharp peaks for a polymethyl methacrylate *** radiation force can be obtained at small half-cone angles and the beam waist only affects the results at high *** that the quasi-bessel-Gauss beam possesses both the energy focusing property and the non-diffracting advantage,this study is expected to be useful in the development of acoustic tweezers,contrast agent micro-shells,and drug delivery applications.

Ophiopogonin D inhibits cell proliferation,causes cell cycle arrest at G_2/M,and induces apoptosis in human breast carcinoma MCF-7 cells

ObJECTIVE： To investigate the effects of ophiopogonin D on human breast cancer MCF-7 cells METHODS： Cell viability was assessed by 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide and colony formation experiments. Cell cycle was measured with cell cycle flow cytometry and a living cell assay. Apoptosis and terminal deoxynucleoitidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling assays were performed to detect the apoptosis of MCF-7 cells induced by ophiopogonin D. Finally, Western blotting was used to explore the mechanism. RESULTS： Exposure of cells to ophiopogonin D resulted in marked decreases in viable cells and colony formation with a dose-dependent manner. Treatment of these cells with ophiopogonin D also resulted in cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase, and increased apoptosis. Mechanistically, ophiopogonin D-induced G2/M cell cycle arrest was associated with down-regulation of cyclin bI. Furthermore, activation of caspase-8 and caspase-9 was involved in ophiopogonin D-induced apoptosis. CONCLUSION： The data suggested that ophiopogonin D inhibits MCF-7 cell growth via the induction of cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase.

Sediment is recognized as the largest reservoir and source of methane(CH_(4))in the ocean,especially in the shallow coastal *** date,few data of CH_(4)concentration in sediment have been reported in the China shelf *** this study,we measured CH_(4)concentration in sediment and overlying seawater columns,and conducted an incubation experiment in the bohai Sea in May ***_(4)concentration was found to be ranged from 3.075 to 1.795μmol/L in sediment,which was 2 to 3 orders of magnitude higher than that in overlying seawater *** surface sediment was an important source of CH_(4),while bottom seawater acted as its ***,the net emission rate via sediment water interface(SWI)was calculated as 2.45μmol/(m^(2)·day)based on the incubation experiment at station73,and the earthquake may enhance CH_(4)release from sediment to seawater column in the eastern bohai Sea.

Study on Transient Gap Resonance with Consideration of the Motion of Floating body

In this paper, the transient fluid resonance phenomenon inside a narrow gap between two adjacent boxes excited by the incident focused waves with various spectral peak periods and focused wave amplitudes is simulated by utilizing the open-sourced computational fluid dynamics software, Open FOAM. The weather-side box is allowed to heave freely under the action of waves, and the lee-side box keeps fixed. This paper mainly focuses on how both the spectral peak period and the focused wave amplitude affect the free-surface amplification inside the gap, the motion of the weather-side box, and the wave loads(including the vertical and the horizontal wave forces) acting on both *** comparison, another two-box system with both boxes fixed is also considered as a control group. It is found that the motion of the weather-side box significantly changes the characteristics of the transient gap resonance, and it would cause that the fluid resonant period becomes 1.4-1.6 times that of the two-box system with both boxes *** the concerned physical quantities(i.e., the free-surface amplification in the gap, the motion of the weather-side box, the wave loads) are found to closely depend on both the spectral peak period and the focused wave amplitude.

Analysis and simulation of a 4H-SiC semi-superjunction Schottky barrier diode for softer reverse-recovery

In this paper, a 4H-SiC semi-superjunction （S J） Schottky barrier diode is analysed and simulated. The semi-SJ structure has an optimized design and a specific on-resistance lower than that of conventional SJ structures, which can be achieved without increasing the process difficulty. The simulation results show that the specific on-resistance and the softness factor depend on the aspect and thickness ratios, and that by using the semi-SJ structure, specific on-resistance can be reduced without decreasing the softness factor. It is observed that a trade-off exists between the specific on-resistance and the softness of the diode.

The neutral particle analyzer(NPA)is one of the crucial diagnostic devices in a Tokamak *** stripping unit is one of the main parts of the NPA.A windowless gas-stripping room with two differential pipes has been constructed in a parallel electric and magnetic fields(E//b)*** pressure distributions in the stripping chamber are simulated by ANSYS Fluent together with MolFlow+.based on the pressure distributions obtained from the simulation,the stripping efficiency of the E//b NPA is studied using *** reaction physics is modified to track the charge state of each particle in a cross-section-based method in *** transmission rates(R)and stripping efficiencies f_(+1)are examined for particle energies ranging from 20 to 200 keV with the input pressure(P_(0)),ranging from 20 to 400 *** to the combined global efficiency,R×f_(+1),P_(0)=240 Pa is obtained as the optimum pressure for the maximum global efficiency in the incident energy range investigated.

The influence of isotope substitution of neon atom on the integral cross sections of rotational excitation in Ne-Na2 collisions

This paper applies the multiple ellipsoid model to the 16Ne （20Ne, 28Ne, 34Ne）-Na2 collision systems, and calcu- lates integral cross sections for rotational excitation at the incident energy of 190 meV. It can be seen that the accuracy of the integral cross sections can be improved by increasing the number of equipotential ellipsoid surfaces. Moreover, by analysing the differences of these integral cross sections, it obtains the change rules of the integral cross sections with the increase of rotational angular quantum number j＇, and with the change of the mass of isotope substitution neon atom. Finally, the contribution of different regions of the potential to inelastic cross sections for 20Ne-Na2 collision system is investigated at relative incident energy of 190 meV.

How to fabricate high-quality microcavities simply and at low cost without causing damage to environmentally sensitive active layers such as perovskites are crucial for the studies of exciton–polaritons,however,it remains challenging in the field of microcavity ***,once the top mirror is deposited,the detuning of the microcavity is fixed and there is no easy way to tune ***,we have developed a method for deterministically transferring silver mirrors,which is relatively simple and guarantees the active layer from damaging of high temperature,particle bombardment,etc.,during the deposition of the top ***,with the help of a glass probe,we demonstrate a replaceable silver transfer method to tune the detuning of the microcavity,thereby changing the coupling of photons and excitons *** developed deterministic and replaceable silver mirror transfer methods will provide the capability to fabricate high-quality and tunable microcavities and play an active role in the development of the exciton–polariton field.

Influence of Deposition Pressure on Properties of ZnO：Al Films Fabricated by RF Magnetron Sputtering

Transparent conductive aluminum doped zinc oxide（ZnO：Al,AZO） films were prepared on glass substrates by rf（radio frequency） magnetron sputtering from ZnO： 3wt% Al_2O_3 ceramic target. The effect of argon gas pressure（PAr） was investigated with small variations to understand the influence on the electrical, optical and structural properties of the films. Structural examinations using X-ray diffraction（XRD） and scanning electron microscopy（SEM） showed that the ZnO：Al thin films were（002） oriented. The resistivity values were measured by four-point probe with the lowest resistivity of 5.76×10^（-4） Ω？cm（sheet resistance=9.6 Ω/sq. for a thickness=600 nm） obtained at the PAr of 0.3 Pa. The transmittance was achieved from ultravioletvisible（UV-VIS） spectrophotometer, 84% higher than that in the visible region for all AZO thin films. The properties of deposited thin films showed a significant dependence on the PAr.

Objectives:The present study was conducted to investigate the protective effects of chamomile oil from Matricaria chamomilla against type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1 DM)and its potential ***:T1 DM was established in male New Zealand white rabbits via a single intraperitoneal infusion of streptozotocin(STZ)(80 mg/kg body weight-1,dissolved in 0.2 m L of normal saline).Different doses of chamomile oil(25,50 and 100 mg/kg)were orally administrated to STZ induced diabetic rabbits for 21 consecutive *** expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines was determined using ELISA *** expression of NF-κb and NLRP3 was measured using Western blot ***:Compared with normal rabbits,STZ-induced diabetic rabbits exhibited significant increased levels of blood glucose and decreased levels of serum insulin that were reversed using middle and high tested dose of chamomile ***,STZ-induced diabetic rabbits showed a significant increased expression of NF-κb and NLRP3 proteins in the pancreas tissue that was reversed by high tested dose of chamomile ***:Collectively,our findings demonstrated that chamomile oil possesses anti-hyperglycemic,and anti-inflammatory activities in STZ-induced diabetic rabbits by targeting inflammatory cytokines and NF-κb and NLRP3 signaling pathways.
