Rigidity Symmetry Line for Thermodynamic Fluid Equations-of-State

We report progress towards a modern scientific description of thermodynamic properties of fluids following the discovery (in 2012) of a coexisting critical density hiatus and a supercritical mesophase defined by percolation transitions. The state functions density ρ(p,T), and Gibbs energy G(p,T), of fluids, e.g. COb>2b>, Hb>2b>O and argon exhibit a symmetry characterised by the rigidity, ω = (dp/dρ)b>Tb>, between gaseous and liquid states along any isotherm from critical (Tb>cb>) to boyle (Tb>bb>) temperatures, on either side of the supercritical mesophase. Here, using experimental data for fluid argon, we investigate the low-density cluster physics description of an ideal dilute gas that obeys Dalton’s partial pressure law. Cluster expansions in powers of density relate to a supercritical liquid-phase rigidity symmetry (RS) line (ω = ρb>rsb>(T) = RT) to gas phase virial coefficients. We show that it is continuous in all derivatives, linear within stable fluid phase, and relates analytically to the boyle-work line (bW) (w = (p/ρ)b>Tb> = RT), and to percolation lines of gas (Pb) and liquid (PA) phases by: ρb>bWb>(T) = 2ρb>PAb>(T) = 3ρb>Pbb>(T) = 3ρb>RSb>(T)/2 for T Tb>bb>. These simple relationships arise, because the higher virial coefficients (bb>nb>, n ≥ 4) cancel due to clustering equilibria, or become negligible at all temperatures (0 T Tb>bb>)b> b>within the gas phase. The boyle-work line (p/ρb>bWb>)b>Tb> is related exactly at lower densities as T → Tb>bb>, and accurately for liquid densities, by ρb>bWb>(T) = −(bb>2b>/bb>3b>)b>Tb>. The RS line, ω(T) = RT, defines a new liquid-density ground-state physical constant (ρb>RSb>(0) = (2/3)ρb>bWb>(0) for argon). Coffee is commonly consumed beverage in the world and it has been suggested to have beneficial *** acids(CGAs)are main ingredient of coffee beans which has been extensively used in nutraceuticals and ***,various therapeutic effects of chlorogenic acids have been ***,there are limited studies to investigate its anticancer *** the present study,we have used chlorogenic acid complex(CGA7)a decaffeinated water soluble green coffee bean extract to evaluate its cytotoxic effect on human and mouse cancer cell lines by using different *** our results we found CGA7 treatment induces cell death in a dose and time dependent manner in different cancer cell ***,CGA7 induced apoptosis was characterized by DNA fragmentation,PARP-1 cleavage,caspase-9 activation,and down regulation of bcl-2,an anti-apoptotic protein and up regulation of pro-apoptotic protein *** findings indicated that CGA7 complex a potent anticancer molecule found in green coffee beans could be a safe bioactive ingredient for prevention of cancer.

biodiversity Assessment of Avifauna in the Forest Reservation of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), Philippines

The research study was conducted to assess and quantify the current status of avifauna biodiversity assets of Aurora State College of Technology’s Forest Reservation in baler, Aurora, Philippines. Assessment of avifaunal diversity was undertaken by traversing the four established circular plots having a radius of 125 meters or 250 meters diameters each as permanent monitoring stations. Study revealed a total number of 151 Individual species, classified into 23 genera and 21 families. Eighteen of these species are endemic while the remaining five were fully migrated birds. All birds observed were classified as Least Concern (LC) species according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species and the updated list of the birds of the World online. Its abundance, richness and diversity index were calculated using Shannon Diversity Index (H') while Pielou’s evenness (J') for distribution of species. Forest reservation of ASCOT has more even (0.756 J') and moderate diversity (2.812 H') observation on avifauna in general. However, this avian population evaluation was threatened into a verge of extinction due to natural and anthropological threats that causes forest deforestation. Such deforestation of habitat causes dwindling of wildlife territory leading to the scarcity of bird’s population. Thus, the assessment was conducted to aid ASCOT administration find significant plans to ensure sustainable conservation and protection of the remaining avifauna species in the reservation area.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)Cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)Cr projectiles were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 42fb at 236 Mev for ^(53)Cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 Mev for ^(54)Cr+^(247)Cm,95.6 fb at 240 Mev for ^(53)Cr+248bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 Mev for ^(53)Cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future Cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

The xNi_(0.83)Co_(0.15)Cu_(0.02)Fe_(1.9)O_(4-δ)+PbZr_(0.52)Ti_(0.48)O_(3)(PZT)particulate magneto ferroelectric composites with x=0,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5 and 0.6 mole fraction were prepared by conventional ceramic double sintering *** presence of two phases(perovskite structure of ferroelectric phase and spinal structure of ferromagnetic phase)was confirmed by X-ray *** magnetoelectric(ME)property of the particulate composites was determined at room temperature as a function of intensity of magnetic *** temperature variation of the longitudinal modulus(L)and the internal friction(Q−1)of these particulate composites at 104.3 kHz was studied in the wide temperature range 30-420℃.The temperature variation of the longitudinal modulus in each composition of these particulate composites showed two abrupt *** minimum coincided with the ferroelectric-paraelectric Curie transition temperature(θE)and the other with the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic Curie transition temperature(θM).The internal friction measurement also showed two sharp peaks in each composition corresponding to those temperatures where the minima were noticed in the temperature variation of the longitudinal modulus behaviour.

In this work,comprehensive studies of 2,4-dinitroanisole(2,4DNAN)were carried out using powder thermorentgenography of the internal *** time of the complete polymorphic transition in the solid phase b/a in 2,4DNAN under various combinations of conditions has been *** has been established that,regardless of the season of manufacture of the substance,when it is stored for 8e9 months,with a change in ambient temperature from minus 30℃ to plus 30℃,a complete polymorphic transition b/a *** stored in conditions below minus 5℃,polymorphic transition does not *** stored in conditions above plus 30℃ in a closed container,polymorphic transition occurs within 3 *** polymorphic transition is accompanied by a decrease in density by 1.3%e1.5%and an increase in melting temperature by 10-12℃,depending on the degree of purity of the starting *** activation energy of the molecular rearrangement was 68e70 kJ/mol(16.5±3 kcal/mol).The mechanism of polymorphic transition has been evaluated,which is presumably based on internal homodiffusion and energy transfer to the surface of the mass of powder particles and the *** average activation energy of the polymorphic transition process was 110±6.2 kJ/mol(26.2 kcal/mol).In an open container,reactions proceed by a homogeneous mechanism,and in a closed container by a heterogeneous mechanism involving the gas phase.

HDPairFinder:A data processing platform for hydrogen/deuterium isotopic labeling-based nontargeted analysis of trace-level amino-containing chemicals in environmental water

The combination of hydrogen/deuterium(H/D)formaldehyde-based isotopic methyl labeling with solid-phase extraction and high-performance liquid chromatography–high resolution mass spectrometry(HPLC-HRMS)is a powerful analytical solution for nontargeted analysis of trace-level amino-containing chemicals in water *** the huge amount of chemical information generated in HPLC-HRMS analysis,identifying all possible H/Dlabeled amino chemicals presents a significant challenge in data *** address this,we designed a streamlined data processing pipeline that can automatically extract H/D-labeled amino chemicals from the raw HPLC-HRMS data with high accuracy and ***,we developed a cross-correlation algorithm to correct the retention time shift resulting from deuterium isotopic effects,which enables reliable pairing of H-and D-labeled ***,we implemented several bioinformatic solutions to remove false chemical features generated by in-source fragmentation,salt adduction,and natural13C ***,we used a data mining strategy to construct the AMINES library that consists of over 38,000 structure-disjointed primary and secondary amines to facilitate putative compound ***,we integrated these modules into a freely available R program,*** rationale of each module was justified and its performance tested using experimental H/D-labeled chemical standards and authentic water *** further demonstrated the application of HDPairFinder to effectively extract N-containing contaminants,thus enabling the monitoring of changes of primary and secondary N-compounds in authentic water *** is a reliable bioinformatic tool for rapid processing of H/D isotopic methyl labeling-based nontargeted analysis of water samples,and will facilitate a better understanding of N-containing chemical compounds in water.

Liquid injectivity in a SAG foam process:Effect of permeability
