Although pseudocapacitive manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))integrates the high-power merit of carbonaceous materials with the high-energy merit of battery-type materials,it still has a long way to go in achieving a more satisfactory balance of higher energy and power density,and in decoupling the relationship of structural characteristics with energy storage *** realize such goals,a bottom-up[WO_(6)]-perturbed[MnO_(6)]assembly strategy has been developed here due to their similar structure,yet mismatched lattice *** facile protocol is capable of finely controlling the morphology and crystal structure of MnO_(2)by adjusting its internal[WO_(6)]***,the as-prepared W_xMnO_(2)is treated as an ideal platform to scrutinize the correlations of the structure with the energy storage *** operando Raman spectra and finite element analysis have fully demonstrated the superiority of the locally ordered defects-enriched structure of W_(0.02)-MnO_(2),which could reach a favorable balance between the ion diffusion equilibrium time and the number of active *** a result,the W_(0.02)-MnO_(2)is able to deliver a high capacitance of 292 F·g^(-1)at a current density of 1 A·g^(-1)and a remarkable rate performance with a 60%capacity retention at a current density of 50 A·g^(-1).The further unveiled structure-performance relationship provides a guideline for the design of better pseudocapacitive energy storage devices.

Lipotoxicity is a pivotal factor that initiates and exacerbates liver injury and is involved in the development of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD).However,there are few reported lipotoxicity ***,we identified a natural anti-lipotoxicity candidate,HN-001,from the marine fungus Aspergillus ***-001 dose-and time-dependently reversed palmitic acid(PA)-induced hepatocyte *** protection was associated with IRE-1a-mediated XbP-1 splicing inhibition,which resulted in suppression of XbP-1s nuclear translocation and transcriptional *** of XbP-1s attenuated lipotoxicity,but no additional ameliorative effect of HN-001 on lipotoxicity was observed in XbP-1s knockdown ***,the ER stress and lipotoxicity amelioration was associated with *** HN-001 and the PLA2 inhibitor MAFP inhibited PLA2 activity,reduced lysophosphatidylcholine(LPC)level,subsequently ameliorated *** contrast,overexpression of PLA2 caused exacerbation of lipotoxicity and weakened the anti-lipotoxic effects of ***,HN-001 treatment suppressed the downstream pro-apoptotic JNK *** vivo,chronic administration of HN-001(i.p.)in mice alleviated all manifestations of MAFLD,including hepatic steatosis,liver injury,inflammation,and *** effects were correlated with PLA2/IRE-1a/XbP-1s axis and JNK signaling *** data indicate that HN-001 has therapeutic potential for MAFLD because it suppresses lipotoxicity,and provide a natural structural basis for developing anti-MAFLD candidates.

为了提高涡轮叶片内部通道对流传热性能,本文基于瞬态液晶热像技术分别针对矩形通道表面排布的球形凹陷和斜椭球凹陷阵列的传热和压力损失特性进行了实验研究。在雷诺数为1×10^(4)~6×10^(4)内,与基准球形凹陷相比,平行排布和v形排布的斜椭球凹陷总体传热分别增强了23.8%~33.8%和104%~121%,v形排布的斜椭球凹陷综合传热性能显著提高了25%~68.3%。通过数值模拟发现,平行排布的斜椭球凹陷虽然可以诱发更强烈的二次流,但是平行的排布方式使下游凹陷受到来自上游凹陷升温后的流体冲刷,因此限制了传热的进一步增强。v形排布的斜椭球凹陷通过诱发大尺度的纵向涡对将来自主流的冷流体输运至壁面,冷流体直接冲击壁面并与近壁流体剪切,极大地增强了对流传热。

Insufficient therapeutic strategies for acute kidney injury(AKI)necessitate precision therapy targeting its *** study reveals the new mechanism of the marine-derived anti-AKI agent,piericidin glycoside S14,targeting peroxiredoxin 1(PRDX1).by binding to Cys83 of PRDX1 and augmenting its peroxidase activity,S14 alleviates kidney injury efficiently in Prdx1-overexpression(Prdx1-OE)***,S14 also increases PRDX1 nuclear translocation and directly activates the Nrf2/HO-1/NQO1 pathway to inhibit ROS *** to the limited druggability of S14 with low bioavailability(2.6%)and poor renal distribution,a pH-sensitive kidney-targeting dodecanaminechitosan nanoparticle system is constructed to load S14 for precise treatment of AKI.L-Serine conjugation to chitosan imparts specificity to kidney injury molecule-1(Kim-1)-overexpressed *** developed S14-nanodrug exhibits higher therapeutic efficiency by improving the in vivo behavior of S14 *** encapsulation with micelles,the AUC_(0-t),half-life time,and renal distribution of S14 increase 2.5-,1.8-,and 3.1-fold,*** main factors contributing to the improved druggability of S14 nanodrugs include the lower metabolic elimination rate and UDPglycosyltransferase(UGT)-mediated *** summary,this study identifies a new therapeutic target for the marine-derived anti-AKI agent while enhancing its ADME properties and druggability through nanotechnology,thereby driving advancements in marine drug development for AKI.

Phytochemicals of Aloe barbadensis miller as Potential Inhibitors of Uropathogenic Escherichia coli for Urinary Tract Infection Therapy: An in Silico Approach

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common infections caused by normal skin or rectum bacteria that get into the urethra and infect the urinary tract. Although the infection can affect various parts of the tract, bladder infections are the most prevalent kind. Uropathogenic Escherichia Coli (UPEC) is the most common pathogen associated with UTI development. Therefore, inhibiting the UPEC protein target (PDb ID: 8bvD) appears to be a promising therapeutic strategy. Therefore, in this study, molecular docking and dynamics were conducted to examine the antibacterial activity of Aloe barbadensis miller against UPEC bacteria. The Aloe barbadensis miller natural compounds licochalcone A, palmidin b and palmidin C were downloaded from PubChem with amoxicillin, which was used as a control drug and studied against the target molecule. The potential parameters examined were the docking scores, absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, toxicity (ADMET), bioavailability, root mean square deviation (RMSD), root mean square fluctuation (RMSF), hydrogen bonding, radius of gyration, and potential energy of the system. Docking scores showed that all ligands demonstrated an admirable candidature as an inhibitor to 8bvD molecule, and the score hierarchy is licochalcone A (-6.4 kcal/mol), palmidin C (-6.1 kcal/mol), palmidin b (-6.0 kcal/mol), and amoxicillin (-5.9 kcal/mol). All ligands appeared to have good drug-like properties and oral bioavailability. Molecular dynamic studies showed that all ligands exhibited an excellent nominee as inhibitors in their vicinity at 20 ns. However, there is a relatively high fluctuation of palmidin b compared with other compounds, which seems to be more stable. This work suggests that the selected phytoconstituents could be used as inhibitors of the 8bvD protein in the fight against UTIs. However, further investigation on the clinical and experimental validation of UTI treatment’s specific mechanisms and effects is still welcomed.
