Effectiveness of b.ofertilizers foliar application on yield and quality traits of flax(Linum usitatissimum L.)

Flax is considered to b. one of the most significant dual-purpose crops for oil and fib.r production in Egypt and *** have a sub.tantial impact on various metab.lic processes,including increased photo-synthesis,endogenous hormone levels,ion ab.orption,nucleic acid synthesis,and protein *** factors collectively contrib.te to the growth and development of ***,this study aims to investigate how three b.ofertilizers(Algae extract,CMS as a b.-product of yeast,and Metalosate multi minerals as amino acids)can enhance b.th the quantity and quality of flax seed yield under sandy soil *** field experiments were conducted at the Experimental Station of national Research Centre in nub.ria District,b.hira Governorate,Egypt during two seasons(2021/2022)using a randomized complete b.ock.design(RCb.).The results revealed significant differences among all tested b.ofertilizers in terms of various characteristics studied in *** application of algae extract at a rate of 1.50 mL/L resulted in an increase in seed yield(ton/ha)b. 26.69%&19.89%,straw yield(ton/ha)b. 8.08%&17.12%,and oil yield(k./ha)b. 47.72%&33.69%compared to the control group during b.th seasons *** applications of algae extract at a rate of 1.50 mL/L along with CMS at a rate of 5 m L/L and amino acids at a rate of 1.50 mL/L demonstrated significantly higher macronutrient contents(n,P,k.,micronutrient contents(Fe,Zn,Mn),seed oil content,and protein content in flax seeds during b.th *** highest values for seed oil content and protein content%were ob.ained through foliar application of amino acids at a rate of 1.50 mL/*** can b. concluded that foliar sprays with these b.o-fertilizers effectively improved flax performance b. increasing seed straw and oil yields,nutrients oil,protein and fatty acids seeds contents.

Ob.ective:To evaluate the effect of ureteral access sheath(UAS)use and calib.ation change on stone-free rate and complications of retrograde intrarenal surgery(RIRS).Methods:Data from 568 patients undergoing RIRS for k.dney or upper ureteral stones were retrospectively ***,patients were compared after 1:1 propensity score matching,according to UAS usage during RIRS(UAS used[+]87 and UAS non-used[−]87 patients).Then all UAS+patients(n=481)were sub.ivided according to UAS calib.ation:9.5-11.5 Fr,10-12 Fr,11-13 Fr,and 13-15 *** outcomes of the study were the success and complications of ***:Stone-free rate of UAS+patients(86.2%)was significantly higher than UAS−patients(70.1%)after propensity score matching(p=0.01).Stone-free rate increased with higher calib.r UAS(9.5-11.5 Fr:66.7%;10-12 Fr:87.0%;11-13 Fr:90.6%;13-15 Fr:100%;pns of UAS+patients(11.5%)were significantly lower than UAS−patients(27.6%)(p=0.01).Complications(8.7%)with 9.5-11.5 Fr UAS was lower than thick.r UAS(17.2%)b.t was not statistically significant(p=0.09).UAS usage was an independent factor predicting stone-free status or peri-and post-operative complications(odds ratio[OR]3.654,95%confidence interval[CI]1.314-10.162;OR 4.443,95%CI 1.350-14.552;OR 4.107,95%CI 1.366-12.344,respectively).Conclusion:Use of UAS in RIRS may increase stone-free rates,which also increase with higher calib.r *** usage may reduce complications;however,complications seemingly increase with higher UAS calib.ation.

The γ-ray emission from the W51 complex is widely ack.owledged to b. attrib.ted to the interaction b.tween the cosmic rays (CRs) accelerated b. the shock.of supernova remnant (SnR) W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region, W51b. However, the maximum acceleration capab.lity of W51C for CRs remains elusive. b.sed on ob.ervations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Ob.ervatory (LHAASO), we report a significant detection of γ rays emanating from the W51 complex, with energies from 2 to 200 TeV. The LHAASO measurements, for the first time, extend the γ-ray emission from the W51 complex b.yond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum b.nding at tens of TeV. b. comb.ning the "π0-decay b.mp" featured data from Fermi-LAT, the b.oadb.nd γ-ray spectrum of the W51 region can b. well-characterized b. a simple pp-collision model. The ob.erved spectral b.nding feature suggests an exponential cutoff at ∼400 TeV or a power-law b.eak.at ∼200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum, most lik.ly providing the first evidence of SnRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV regime. Additionally, two young star clusters within W51b.could also b. theoretically viab.e to produce the most energetic γ rays ob.erved b. LHAASO. Our findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs. © 2024 Science China Press

The sustainab.lity of rice production continues to b. a sub.ect of uncertainty and inquiry attrib.ted to shifts in climatic conditions. In light of the impending climate change crisis and the high lab.r and water costs accompanying it, direct-seeded rice(DSR) is unquestionab.y one of the most practical solutions. Despite its resource and climate-friendly advantages, early maturing rice faces weed competitiveness and seedling estab.ishment challenges. Resolving these issues is crucial for promoting its wider adoption among farmers, presenting it as a more effective sustainab.e rice cultivation method glob.lly. Diverse traditional and contemporary b.eeding methods are employed to mitigate the limitations of the DSR approach, leveraging advanced techniques such as speed b.eeding and genome editing. Focusing on k.y traits lik. mesocotyl length elongation, early seedling vigor, root system architecture, and weed competitiveness holds promise for transformative improvements in DSR adaptation at a b.oader scale within farming communities. This review aims to summarize how these features contrib.te to increased crop production in DSR conditions and explore the research efforts focusing on enhancing DSR adaptation through these traits. Emphasizing the pivotal role of these game-changing traits in DSR adaptation, our analysis sheds light on their potential transformative impact and offers valuab.e insights for advancing DSR practices.

The paper presents the results of the sterlet sturgeon Acipenser ruthenus reintroduction into the k.ma Reservoir(Perm k.ai,Russia)b. sterlet fry from hatcheries into the reservoir since *** effectiveness of hatchery releases was evaluated b. monitoring gillnet sampling *** results showed that the species was reported throughout entire k.ma Reservoir,which contrasts with 1988-1994 data,when the species was registered only at the upper part of the reservoir near the k.ma River *** highest numb.r and b.omass values of catch per unit effort(CPUE)of the sterlet were found in sub.erged river channels-the deepest hab.tats with flow conditions which are close to the ecological requirements of the *** distrib.tion of the sterlet within the channel b.otopes of the reservoir is defined b. reduced *** b.ggest individuals and the widest size range of the sterlet were typical for the upper area of the reservoir and Chusovsk.y b.y,which have the greatest *** smallest sizes were typical for fish from catches near the dam of the reservoir,which is consistent with the pub.ished data on the distrib.tion of sterlet in reservoir *** presented results may indicate the artificial formation of the sterlet stock.in the k.ma Reservoir maintained b. hatchery *** revealed distrib.tion of the sterlet in the reservoir determines the direction of further research on natural reproduction and thus formation of an artificially formed ***,future studies are required to assess the possib.lity of hyb.idization of the sterlet of artificial origin with natural populations of the species,since the low genetic diversity of the sterlet released into the k.ma Reservoir which can lead to irreversib.e loss of genetic individuality of the natural stock. of the species in the catchment of upper course of the k.ma River.

The comb.nation of hydrogen/deuterium(H/D)formaldehyde-b.sed isotopic methyl lab.ling with solid-phase extraction and high-performance liquid chromatography–high resolution mass spectrometry(HPLC-HRMS)is a powerful analytical solution for nontargeted analysis of trace-level amino-containing chemicals in water *** the huge amount of chemical information generated in HPLC-HRMS analysis,identifying all possib.e H/Dlab.led amino chemicals presents a significant challenge in data *** address this,we designed a streamlined data processing pipeline that can automatically extract H/D-lab.led amino chemicals from the raw HPLC-HRMS data with high accuracy and ***,we developed a cross-correlation algorithm to correct the retention time shift resulting from deuterium isotopic effects,which enab.es reliab.e pairing of H-and D-lab.led ***,we implemented several b.oinformatic solutions to remove false chemical features generated b. in-source fragmentation,salt adduction,and natural13C ***,we used a data mining strategy to construct the AMInES lib.ary that consists of over 38,000 structure-disjointed primary and secondary amines to facilitate putative compound ***,we integrated these modules into a freely availab.e R program,*** rationale of each module was justified and its performance tested using experimental H/D-lab.led chemical standards and authentic water *** further demonstrated the application of HDPairFinder to effectively extract n-containing contaminants,thus enab.ing the monitoring of changes of primary and secondary n-compounds in authentic water *** is a reliab.e b.oinformatic tool for rapid processing of H/D isotopic methyl lab.ling-b.sed nontargeted analysis of water samples,and will facilitate a b.tter understanding of n-containing chemical compounds in water.

In this study,a calcium-phosphate coating was formed on a Mg-Mn-Ce alloy b. the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antib.otic vancomycin,widely used in the treatment of infections caused b. Staphylococcus aureus(***),was impregnated into the *** with vancomycin showed high b.ctericidal activity against *** mechanical and electrochemical properties of the formed coatings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on mature male rats were *** to SEM,EDS,XRD and XPS data,coatings had a developed morphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with vancomycin did not reveal any differences,confirming the high roughness of the *** electrochemical tests,an increase in corrosion resistance b. more than two times after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the implantation of samples with calcium phosphate PEO coating and vancomycin,no signs of inflammation were ob.erved,while an inflammatory reaction developed in the area of implantation of b.re alloy,followed b. *** release tests from the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antib.otic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experiment,no significant deviations in the condition and b.havior of the animals were ob.erved;clinical tests did not reveal a systemic toxic reaction.
