Facile solvothermal synthesis of NiFe2O4 nanoparticles for high-performance supercapacitor applications

We report a green and facile approach for the synthesis of NiFe2O4(NF)nanoparticles with good *** prepared materials are studied by various techniques in order to know their phase structure,crystallinity,morphology and elemental *** bET analysis revealed a high surface area of 80.0 m^2·g^-1 for NF possessing a high pore volume of 0.54 cm^3·g^-1,also contributing to the amelioration of the electrochemical *** NF sample is studied for its application in supercapacitors in an aqueous 2 mol·L^-1 KOH *** properties are studied both in the three-electrode method and in a symmetrical supercapacitor *** show a high specific capacitance of 478.0 F·g^-1 from the CV curve at an applied scan rate of 5 mV·s^-1 and 368.0 F·g^-1 from the GCd analysis at a current density of 1A·g^-1 for the NF ***,the material exhibited an 88%retention of its specific capacitance after continuous 10000 cycles at a higher applied current density of8 A·g^-*** encouraging properties of NF nanoparticles suggest the practical applicability in high-performance supercapacitors.

Novel barium tungstate/nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide-graphi- tic carbon nitride （baWO4/NRGO-g-C3N4） nanocomposite has been synthesized by a simple one-pot microwave technique. The synthesized nanocomposites are well characterized by diffraction, microscopic and spectroscopic techniques to study its crystal structure, elemental composition, morphological features and optical properties. The material prepared is tested for its performance as an electrocatalyst, photocatalyst and reduction catalyst. The nanocomposite catalyzed the photodegradation of methylene blue （Mb） dye in 120 min, reduction of 4-nitro phenol （4-NP） to 4-amino phenol （4-AP） in 60 s, showed an impressive Tafel slope of 62 mV/dec for hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）. The observed results suggest that the nanocomposite acts as an efficient multifunctional catalyst. The reported approach provides fundamental insights which can be extended to other metal tungstate-based ternary composites for applications in the field of clean energy and environment in the future.

Interdisciplinarity and participatory research have become the guiding principles of cancer *** what are the practical forms and methods?based on the experience of 3 successive research projects aimed at improving cancer care pathways-PARCA1,PARCA2 and 4P-we present the encounters between researchers on the one hand,and between these same researchers and patients and health professionals on the ***,these meetings have led to the co-construction of projects and the shared conduct of *** motivations behind the participatory approach are highlighted,as well as the‘step-by-step’approach needed to familiarize the people involved with the research process,and the limits of the approach:while everyone’s position tends to be adjusted as the projects progress,there is still an imbalance between the researchers and the people involved.

Solvent extraction is an important process in the nuclear fuel cycle. Tributyl phosphate(TbP) diluted with dodecane is commonly used as a solvent for extracting heavy metals from nitric acid medium. Studies on hydrodynamics of a single drop, which is the smallest mass transfer entity, are required for better understanding of the complex mass transfer and phase separation phenomena that occur in extraction equipment. In this study, drop formation at nozzles is studied using 30% TbP-dodecane as the dispersed phase and dilute nitric acid as the quiescent continuous phase. Experiments are carried out to determine the drop diameter, jetting velocity, drop detachment height and drop detachment time for various dispersed phase velocities, nozzle diameters(1.91, 3.04, and 4.88 mm), and nitric acid concentrations(0.01, 1, 3 N). drop formation is captured using high-speed imaging, which enables quantification of drop size, onset of jetting, drop detachment height, and drop detachment time. Experimental data are used to propose correlations for predicting drop diameter and minimum jetting velocity. The correlations are found to be very accurate with average absolute relative errors being 5.23 and 2.97%, respectively.

Tin telluride(SnTe)overwhelmingly continues to be studied owing to its promising thermoelectric properties,tunable electronic structure,and its potential as an alternate to toxic lead telluride(PbTe)based *** this research,we engineer the electronic properties of SnTe by co-doping Mn and bi below their individual solubility *** First principles density functio nal theory studies reveal that both bi and Mn introduce resonance states,thereby increasing the density of states near the Fermi level leading to enhanced Seebeck *** unique combination of using two resonant dopants to introduce flatter bands is effective in achieving higher performance at lower tempe ratures manifesting into a large Seebeck value of~91μV/K at room temperature in the present *** elements optimally co-doped results in a very high power factor value of~24.3μW/cmK^(2) at 773 K when compared to other high performance SnTe based materials.A zT of~0.93 at 773 K is achieved by tuning the proportion of the co-dopants Mn and bi in *** hardness value of pristine SnTe was also seen to increase after *** a result,synergistic optimized doping proves to be a suitable means for obtaining thermoelectric materials of superior characteristics without the need for heavy doping.

Mechanically durable transparent electrodes are essential for achieving long-term stability in flexible optoelectronic ***,they are crucial for applications in the fields of energy,display,healthcare,and soft *** meshes represent a promising alternative to traditional,brittle,metal oxide conductors due to their high electrical conductivity,optical transparency,and enhanced mechanical *** this paper,we present a simple method for fabricating an ultra-transparent conducting metal oxide mesh electrode using selfcracking-assisted *** this method,we produced an electrode with ultra-transparency(97.39%),high conductance(Rs=21.24Ωsq^(−1)),elevated work function(5.16 eV),and good mechanical *** also evaluated the effectiveness of the fabricated electrodes by integrating them into organic photovoltaics,organic light-emitting diodes,and flexible transparent memristor devices for neuromorphic computing,resulting in exceptional device *** addition,the unique porous structure of the vanadium-doped indium zinc oxide mesh electrodes provided excellent flexibility,rendering them a promising option for application in flexible optoelectronics.

Anthracnose disease caused by the Colletotrichum gloeosporioides species complex is a major problem *** this study,we investigated the phylogenetic diversity of 207 Indian Colletotrichum isolates,associated with symptomatic and asymptomatic tissues of mango,belonging to this species *** analyses were performed based on a 6-gene dataset(act,cal,chs1,gapdh,ITS and tub2),followed by ApMat *** ApMat-based phylogeny was found to be superior as it provided finer resolution in most of the species-level ***,the ApMat marker identified seven lineages within *** sensu lato,including ***-sambac,***,***,*** sensu stricto and three undesignated,potentially novel *** this study,*** sensu stricto,***,***-sambac,*** and five undesignated,potentially novel lineages were found to be associated with mango *** is a need to develop a consensus among mycologists as to which genes should be used to define and delimit a Colletotrichum species and in the mean time mycologists should voluntarily restrain from describing new species based on inadequate datasets.

It is widely accepted that solar flares involve release of magnetic energy stored in the solar corona above an active region, but existing models do not include the explicitly time-dependent electrodynamics needed to describe such energy release. A flare paradigm is discussed that includes the electromotive force （EMF） as the driver of the flare, and the flare-associated current that links different regions where magnetic reconnection, electron acceleration, the acceleration of mass motions and current closure occur. The EMF becomes localized across regions where energy conversion occurs, and is involved in energy propagation between these regions.

One-dimensional inorganic nanotubes hold promise for technological applications due to their distinct physical/chemical properties,but so far advancements have been hampered by difficulties in producing single-wall nanotubes with a well-defined *** this work we investigate,based on density Functional Theory(dFT),the formation mechanism of 135 different inorganic nanotubes formed by the intrinsic self-rolling driving force found in asymmetric 2d Janus *** show that for isovalent Janus sheets,the lattice mismatch between inner and outer atomic layers is the driving force behind the nanotube formation,while in the non-isovalent case it is governed by the difference in chemical bond strength of the inner and outer layer leading to steric *** our pool of candidate structures we have identified more than 100 tubes with a preferred radius below 35Å,which we hypothesize can display distinctive properties compared to their parent 2d *** descriptors have been identified to accelerate the discovery of small-radius tubes and a bayesian regression approach has been implemented to assess the uncertainty in our predictions on the radius.
