The electronic and magnetic properties of the zinc-blende aluminum nitride doped with V and Cr are studied using the density functional theory(DFT),namely the KKR-CPA-PbE *** Al N is found to be a wide band gap semiconductor,and doping V and Cr single impurities generate ferromagnetic half-metallic ***,the values of the formation energy reveal that these compounds are stable systems for all dopant concentrations.A self-consistent energy minimization scheme determines the ferromagnetic state as the stable magnetic state for V-and Cr-doping Al N.A double exchange mechanism is identified as the mechanism responsible for magnetism in our *** increasing doping impurities,the total magnetic moments increase linearly and the Curie temperature TC,calculated using the mean-field approximation,shows a significant *** present findings reveal Cr-and V-doped zincblende Al N as potential candidates for high Curie temperature ferromagnetic materials.

Chemotherapy in prostate cancer （PCa） has undergone dramatic landscape changes. While earlier studies utilized varying chemotherapy regimens which were found to be largely palliative in nature and hardly resulted in durable or meaningful responses, docetaxel resulted in the first chemotherapy agent that showed improvement in overall survival in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer （mCRPC）. However, combination chemotherapy or any agents added to docetaxel have failed to yield incremental benefits. The improvement in overall survival as well as secondary endpoints of prostate-specific antigen （PSA） and time to recurrence when using docetaxel in the metastatic hormone-sensitive state has changed the standard of care for treatment of newly diagnosed de novo metastatic PCa. There are also promising results in locally advanced PCa and high-risk PCa in both the neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings. This review summarizes the historical as well as the more contemporary use of chemotherapeutic agents in PCa in varying states and phases of disease.

An approach named direct reaction synthesis (DRS) has been developed to fabricate particulate composites with an extremely fine reinforcement size. ID situ Al matrix composites were fabri-cated by DRS. Extensive analysis of the composites microstructure using SEM and TEM identify that the reinforcement formed during the DRS process is Ti carbide (TiC) particle, generally less than 1.0 μm. The reacted, semisolid extruded samples exhibit a homogeneous distribution of fine TiC particles in Al-Cu matrix, Mechanical property evaluation of the composites has revealed a very high tensile strength relative to the matrix alloy. Fractographic analysis indicates ductile failure although the ductility and strength are limited by the presence of coarse titanium aluminides (Al3Ti).

We report here the structural, surface morphology, mechanical, and current voltage characteristics of Zn1-xMxO ceramic samples with various x and M （0.00≤〈 x ≤ 0.20, M = Ni, Cu）. It is found that the considered dopants do not influence the well-known peaks related to the wurtzite structure of ZnO ceramics, while the shapes and the sizes of grains are clearly affected. The average crystalline diameters deduced from the SEM micrographs are between 2.06 μm and 4.8 μm for all samples. The oxygen element ratio is increased by both dopants. Interestingly, the potential barrier can be formed by adding Cu up to 0.20, while it is completely deformed by 0.025 Ni addition. The breakdown field can be enhanced up to 4138 V/cm by 0.025 Cu addition, followed by a decrease with further increase of Cu up to 0.20. On the other hand, a gradual decrease in Vickers microhardness is reported for both dopants, and the values in the Ni samples are higher compared to those in the Cu samples. The electricul conductivity is generally improved by Ni, while the addition of Cu improves it only in the over doped region （≥ 0.10）. These results are discussed in terms of the differences of valency and ferromagnetic ordering.

Introduction: Heart and kidney diseases are common among patients admitted to hospital and they coexist in a significant number of cases. The interactions between the cardiovascular system and the kidney have been known and described for many years and have led to the description of cardio-renal syndrome. The objective of this study was to determine the frequency;to describe the clinical, etiological and prognostic aspects of acute renal failure in patients hospitalized for chronic congestive heart failure. Method: This was a descriptive retrospective study from January 2, 2018 to December 31, 2022. Included in this study were all the complete records of patients hospitalized for chronic congestive heart failure with serum creatinine ≥120 μmol/I. We’re not included in this study, incomplete files, records of patients hospitalized for other pathologies, records of patients hospitalized for chronic congestive heart failure with normal renal function. Our study variables were qualitative and quantitative divided into clinical, paraclinical and prognostic data. Our data were analyzed using the EPI-info 7.***.2.6 software. Data entry and presentation were carried out using Word, Excel and PowerPoint from the 2016 Office Pack. Results: We collected 830 files of which 114 met our selection criteria, a frequency of 13.73%. The mean age of the patients was 47 ± 19 years. The F/M sex ratio was 1.23. The dominant etiologies were hypertension followed by diabetes with respectively 60.5% and 23.7%. Toxic factors including tobacco accounted for 7.9% of cases. Dyspnea accounted for 86.8%. Most of our patients were grade 3 or 36% based on systolic blood pressure on admission with an average of 164.16 ± 33.95 mmHg and an average diastolic blood pressure of 93.24 ± 20.40 mmHg. biologically, the serum creatinine revealed a high frequency of 201 - 400 μmol/l (33% of cases) with an average value of 586.49 ± 631.44 μmol/l with the extremes 2.960 and 2448.68 μmol/I. In the last two decades, there has been an enormous surge in interest in ceramic materials and, as a result, there have been significant advances in their development and applications. Their inherent properties, such as capability of operating at temperatures far above metals, high level of hardness and toughness, low coefficient of thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity rendered ceramics to be one of the leading engineering materials. Many research works have been conducted in the past few years on machining of advanced ceramics using different processing methods in order to obtain a better surface roughness, higher material removal rate and improved tool life. Micromachining using chemical etching is one of those methods that do not involve the problem of tool life and direct tool-work piece contact. However, only a few research works have been done on micromachining of ceramics using chemical etching. Hence, study of chemical machining of advanced ceramics is still needed as the process has found wide application in the industry because of its relative low operating costs. In this work, we summarize the recent progresses in machining of different types of advanced ceramics, material processing methods such as wet etching and dry etching, and finally the prospects for control of material removal rate and surface quality in the process of ceramic micromachining.
