A comparative study of liquid and solid inner contact roxatidine acetate ion-selective electrode membranes

A comparative study was conducted using two designs of a roxatidine acetate （ROX）-selective electrode; a conventional liquid inner contact called electrode A and a graphite-coated solid contact called electrode 13. The fabrication of electrodes was based on roxatidine-tetraphenylborate （ROX-TPb） as an ion-association complex in a PVC matrix using different plasticizers. electrode A has a linear dynamic range of 2.2 ×10^-5 mol/L to 1.0 ×10^-2 mol/L, with a Nernstian slope of 54.7 mV/decade and a detection limit of 1.4 ×10^-6 mol/L. electrode b shows linearity over the concentration range of 1.0×10^-6 mol/L to 1.0×10^-2 tool/L, with a Nernstian slope of 51.2 mV/decade and a limit of detection of 1.1×10^7 mol/L which is remarkably improved as a result of diminishing ion fluxes in this solid contact, ion-selective electrode. The proposed sensors display useful analytical characteristics for the determination of ROX in bulk powder and its pharmaceutical formulation. The present electrodes show clear discrimination of ROX from several inorganic, organic ions, sugars, some common drug excipients and the degradation product （3-[3-（1-piperidinyl methyl） phenoxy] propyl amine） of ROX. Furthermore, the proposed electrodes were utilized for the determination of ROX in human plasma, where electrode b covers drug Cmax which indicated its applicability to pharmacokinetic, bioavailability and bioequivalent studies. The results obtained by the proposed electrodes were statistically analyzed and compared with those obtained by a reported HPLC method. No significant difference for either accuracy or precision was observed.

Context: Technological advances have improved the toxicities of radiotherapy. We are evaluating the 3D technique in prostate cancer. b>Materials and Methods:b> Retrospective study from January 2015 to December 2015 with 29 files. Survival was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method. b>Results: b>We collected 29 patient records over the study period. The median age was 75 years with the following extremes: 54 years and 83 years. The median PSA level was 12 ng/ml with a range of 3.05 to 79 ng/ml. Gleason score analysis showed 6 patients (20.69%) with a score of 6 (3 + 3), 23 patients (79.31%) with a score of 7 including 12 patients (41.38%) with grade 3 and 11 patients (37.93%) with grade 4. The median dose delivered was 74 Gy, with a mean dose of 73.79 Gy and extremes of 70 Gy for the minimum and 76 Gy for the maximum. Hormone therapy was combined with radiotherapy in 17 patients (58.62%). Seven patients (24.14%) had grade 1 acute bladder toxicity and one patient (3.45%) had grade 2 acute toxicity. Late bladder toxicity was grade 1 in 5 patients (17.24%), grade 2 in 3 patients (10.34%) and grade 3 in 1 patient (3.45%). Late rectal toxicity, grade 2 in 3 patients (10.34%), grade 3 in 1 patient, was noted. Overall survival at 2 years was 100% and 89.65% at 5 years. Relapse-free survival at 2 years was 82.76% and 62.07% at 5 years. There were 3 deaths (10.34%) of which only one was related to prostate cancer. b>

Cold worked and annealed supersaturated Cu-2.65Ni-0.6Si and Cu-2.35Ni-0.6Si-0.6Cr alloys were studied. The microstructural parameters evolution, including crystallite size, root mean square strain and dislocation density was analyzed using Materials Analysis Using Diffraction software （MAUD）. The parameters for both alloys have typical values of cold deformed and subsequently annealed copper based alloy. A net change of the crystallite size, root mean square strain and dislocation density values of the alloys aged at 450 °C for 2.5-3 h seems corresponding to the recovery and recrystallization processes. Addition of Cr as quaternary element did not lead to any drastic changes of post deformation or ageing microstructural parameters and hence of recovery-recrystallization kinetics.

A total of 50 does were used to determine selected hematological and biochemical parameters with special references to oxidative stress markers, acute phase protein profiles, and proinflammatory cytokines in healthy and gangrenous mastitis affected does. Animals were divided into two equal groups represented as clinically healthy （control） and diseased groups, respectively. The bacteriological examination of milk samples from diseased does revealed many types of bacterial infection. The isolated bacteria were Staphy/ococcus aureus （N=23/25）, Escherichia coil （N=11/25）, and Clostridium perfringens （N=4/25）. There was a significant increase in the levels of β-hydrexybutyrate, non-esterified free fatty acids, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol （ldL-C）, aspartate aminotransferase, and alanine aminotransferase and a significant reduction in the levels of glucose, cholesterol, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C） in does with gangrenous mastitis compared to healthy does. Moreover, there was a significant increase in the levels of malondialdehyde and uric acid with a significant decrease in the levels of reduced glutathione, super oxide dismutase, and catalase in does with gangrenous mastitis compared to healthy does. In addition, there was a significant increase in the haptoglobin, serum amyloid A, fibrinogen, interleukin 6 （IL-6）, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-a （TNF-a） in does with gangrenous mastitis compared to healthy ones. Conclusively, oxidative stress biomarkers, acute phase proteins, and proinflammatory cytokines play an essential task as biomarkers for gangrenous mastitis in does. Mastitis may be considered as one of the ketotic stressors in does after parturition.

The growth of environmental energy harvesting has been explosive in wireless computing systems especially when replacing or recharging batteries manually is *** work investigates the scheduling of periodic weekly hard real-time tasks under energy *** on this motivation,we proposed a real-time scheduling algorithm,namely energy guarantee dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(EG-DVFS),that utilizes the earliest deadline-harvesting(ED-H)scheduling algorithm combined with dynamic voltage and frequency *** one is qualified as real-time since tasks must satisfy their timing *** assume that the preemptable tasks receive dynamic priorities according to the earliest deadline first(EDF)***-DVFS adjusts the processor's behavior by characterizing the properties of the energy source module,capacity of the stored energy as well as the harvested energy in a future ***,tasks are executed at full processor speed if the amount of energy in the battery is enough to finish its ***,the processor slows down task execution to the lowest possible processor speed while still guaranteeing to meet all the timing ***-DVFS mainly depends on the on-line computation of the slack time and the slack energy with dynamic voltage and frequency selection in order to achieve an improved system *** results show that EG-DVFS can achieve capacity savings up of up to 33%when compared to ED-H.

This paper concerns the Cauchy problem of the 3D generalized incompressible magneto-hydrodynamic(GMHD) equations. by using the Fourier localization argument and the Littlewood-Paley theory, we get local well-posedness results of the GMHD equations with large initial data(u0, b0) belonging to the critical Fourier-besov-Morrey spaces FN^1-2α+3/p'+λ/pp,λ,q(R^3) Moreover, stability of global solutions is also discussed.

Let {S t H, t ≥ 0） be a linear combination of a brownian motion and an independent sub-fractional brownian motion with Hurst index 0 〈 H 〈 1. Its main properties are studied. They suggest that SH lies between the sub-fractional brownian motion and the mixed fractional brownian motion. We also determine the values of H for which SH is not a semi-martingale.
