Tamarind fruit shell powder(TFSP)with particle size ofbtained from cleaned tamarind fruit shells)was modified with in situ generated copper nanoparticles(CuNPs)by simple one step hydrothermal *** modified TFSP was characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermogravi-metric analysis(TGA)and antibacterial *** generated stable CuNPs on the surface of the modified TFSP were spherical in shape with an average size of 88 *** FT-IR spectroscopy analysis indicated the involvement of the functional groups of the TFSP in the generation and stabilization of the *** XRD analysis indicated the presence of both CuNPs and Cu 2 O nanoparticles in the modified *** thermal analysis indicated the presence of 5.6 wt%of copper nanoparticles as calculated from the difference of residual char content between the un-modified and modified *** modified TFSP with in situ generated CuNPs exhibited obvious antibacterial activity against both the Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria and hence can be considered as low cost filler in the preparation of antibacterial polymer hybrid nanocomposites for packaging and medical applications.

Dry sliding wear behavior of stir cast AA6061-T6/AlN_p composite

The dry sliding wear behavior of AA6061 matrix composite reinforced with aluminium nitride particles（AlN） produced by stir casting process was investigated. A regression model was developed to predict the wear rate of the prepared composite. A four-factor, five-level central composite rotatable design matrix was used to minimize the number of experimental runs. The factors considered in this study were sliding velocity, sliding distance, normal load and mass fraction of AlN reinforcement in the matrix. The developed regression model was validated by statistical software SYSTAT 12 and statistical tools such as analysis of variance（ANOVA） and student＇s t test. It was found that the developed regression model could be effectively used to predict the wear rate at 95% confidence level. The influence of these factors on wear rate of AA6061/AlNp composite was analyzed using the developed regression model and predicted trends were discussed with the aid of worn surface morphologies. The regression model indicated that the wear rate of cast AA6061/AlNp composite decreased with an increase in the mass fraction of AlN and increased with an increase of the sliding velocity, sliding distance and normal load acting on the composite specimen.

Intrumer:A Multi Module Distributed Explainable IDS/IPS for Securing Cloud Environment

The increasing use of cloud-based devices has reached the critical point of cybersecurity and unwanted network *** environments pose significant challenges in maintaining privacy and *** approaches,such as IDS,have been developed to tackle these ***,most conventional Intrusion Detection System(IDS)models struggle with unseen cyberattacks and complex high-dimensional *** fact,this paper introduces the idea of a novel distributed explainable and heterogeneous transformer-based intrusion detection system,named INTRUMER,which offers balanced accuracy,reliability,and security in cloud settings bymultiplemodulesworking together within *** traffic captured from cloud devices is first passed to the TC&TM module in which the Falcon Optimization Algorithm optimizes the feature selection process,and Naie bayes algorithm performs the classification of *** selected features are classified further and are forwarded to the Heterogeneous Attention Transformer(HAT)*** this module,the contextual interactions of the network traffic are taken into account to classify them as normal or malicious *** classified results are further analyzed by the Explainable Prevention Module(XPM)to ensure trustworthiness by providing interpretable *** the explanations fromthe classifier,emergency alarms are transmitted to nearby IDSmodules,servers,and underlying cloud devices for the enhancement of preventive *** experiments on benchmark IDS datasets CICIDS 2017,Honeypots,and NSL-KDD were conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the INTRUMER model in detecting network trafficwith high accuracy for different *** outperforms state-of-the-art approaches,obtaining better performance metrics:98.7%accuracy,97.5%precision,96.3%recall,and 97.8%*** results validate the robustness and effectiveness of INTRUMER in securing diverse cloud environments against sophisticated cyber threats.

Federated Learning’s Role in Next-Gen TV Ad Optimization

In the rapidly evolving landscape of television advertising,optimizing ad schedules to maximize viewer engagement and revenue has become *** methods often operate in silos,limiting the potential insights gained from broader data analysis due to concerns over privacy and data *** article introduces a novel approach that leverages Federated Learning(FL)to enhance TV ad schedule optimization,combining the strengths of local optimization techniques with the power of global Machine Learning(ML)models to uncover actionable insights without compromising data *** combines linear programming for initial ads scheduling optimization with ML—specifically,a K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)model—for predicting ad spot *** into account the diversity and the difficulty of the ad-scheduling problem,we propose a prescriptivepredictive approach in which first the position of the ads is optimized(using Google’s OR-Tools CP-SAT)and then the scheduled position of all ads will be the result of the optimization ***,this output becomes the target of a predictive task that predicts the position of new entries based on their characteristics ensuring the implementation of the scheduling at large scale(using KNN,Light Gradient boosting Machine and Random Forest).Furthermore,we explore the integration of FL to enhance predictive accuracy and strategic insight across different broadcasting networks while preserving data *** FL approach resulted in 8750 ads being precisely matched to their optimal category placements,showcasing an alignment with the intended diversity ***,there was a minimal deviation observed,with 1133 ads positioned within a one-category variance from their ideal placement in the original dataset.

Development of multi-functional nano-paint for energy harvesting applications

The multi-functionality of lead magnesium niobate-lead titanate/paint（PMN-PT/paint） nanocomposite films for energy harvesting via piezoelectric and pyroelectric effects is described. PMN-PT/paint films have been fabricated by a conventional paint-brushing technique to provide a low-cost, low-temperature and low–energy route to create multi-functional films. The properties investigated included dielectric constants, ε' and ε'', as a function of temperature, frequency and composition. From these parameters, it is indicated that the dielectric constants and AC conductivity(σAC) increase with an increase of filler content and temperature, implying an improvement of the functionality of the films. The results revealed that σACobeyed the relation σAC=Aωs, and exponents, was found to decrease by increasing the temperature. The correlated barrier hopping was the dominant conduction mechanism in the nanocomposite films. The efforts were made to investigate the performance of nanocomposite films to mechanical vibrations and thermal variations. A cantilever system was designed and examined to assess its performance as energy harvesters. The highest output voltage and power for a PMN-PT/paint based harvester with a broad frequency response operating in the-31-piezoelectric mode were 65 mV and 1 nW, *** and power were shown to be enhanced by application of thermal variations. Thus, films could be utilized for combined energy harvesting via piezoelectric and pyroelectric characteristics.

Canonical NF-κb signaling regulates satellite stem cell homeostasis and function during regenerative myoge nesis

Skeletal muscle regeneration in adults is attributed to the presence of satellite stem cells that proliferate,differentiate,and eventually fuse with injured ***,the signaling mechanisms that regulate satellite cell homeostasis and function remain less *** IKKp-mediated canonical NF-κb signaling has been implicated in the regulation of myogenesis and skeletal muscle mass,its role in the regulation of satellite cell function during muscle regeneration has not been fully ***,we report that canonical NF-κb signaling is induced in skeletal muscle upon *** cell-specific inducible ablation of IKKβattenuates skeletal muscle regeneration in adult *** ablation of IKKβalso reduces the number of satellite cells in injured skeletal muscle of adult mice,potentially through inhibiting their proliferation and *** also demonstrate that the inhibition of specific components of the canonical NF-κb pathway causes precocious differentiation of cultured satellite cells both ex vivo and in ***,our results highlight that the constitutive activation of canonical NF-κb signaling in satellite cells also attenuates skeletal muscle regeneration following injury in adult ***,our study demonstrates that the proper regulation of canonical NF-κb signaling is important for the regeneration of adult skeletal muscle.

Electrical switching in cadmium ferrite with different rare-earth ions(Sm^(3+), Y^(3+), and La^(3+))

The cadmium ferrite and 5 % rare-earth ions（Sm^3＋, Y^3＋, and La^3＋） added Cd ferrites were synthesized by oxalate co-precipitation method and characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FT-IR）, and scanning electron microscope（SEM） techniques. All ferrite samples under investigation exhibit current-controlled negative resistance type I–E characteristics at room temperature. The required electrical-switching field in cadmium ferrite is higher than that for 5 % Sm^3＋, Y^3＋, and La^3＋added cadmium ferrites. The5% addition of Sm^3＋, Y^3＋, and La^3＋ in cadmium ferrite is found to decrease the grain size in this ferrite. This decrement in the grain size makes the required switching field to decrease in cadmium ferrite. No aging effect for electrical switching is observed in these ferrites.

Flow of two immiscible fluids gives rise to variety of flow patterns,which influence transportation *** this work,we present detailed analysis on the prediction of flow pattern maps and radial distribution of volume fraction,pressure and velocity of a pair of immiscible liquids through a horizontal pipeline by computational fluid dynamics（CFD） simulation using ANSYS FLUENT *** viscous oil and water have been taken as the fluid pair for *** of fluid（VOF） method has been employed to predict various flow patterns by assuming unsteady flow,immiscible liquid pair,constant liquid properties,and co-axial *** the grid independent study,we have selected 47 037 number of quadrilateral mesh elements for the entire *** successfully predicts almost all the flow patterns（viz.,plug,slug,stratified wavy,stratified mixed and annular）,except dispersion of oil in water and dispersion of water in *** simulated results are validated with experimental results of oil volume fraction and flow pattern *** distribution of volume fraction,pressure and velocity profiles describe the nature of the stratified wavy,stratified mixed and annular flow *** profiles help to developing the phenomenological correlations of interfacial characteristics in two-phase flow.
