The gas hydrate formation in pipelines of industries and c.emic.l plants c.n c.use various operational damages and c.n inc.ease ec.nomic.***,the knowledge of hydrate formation c.nditions has bec.me a c.itic.l researc. study to overc.me the problems arising from the formation of *** this study,we applied an algorithm to develop an LSSVM model to predic. the formation temperature of natural gas hydrate for a c.mprehensive range of data *** 188 experimental data points were applied from the literature for the development of the LSSVM *** input parameter was finalized based on the struc.ure of hydrates by eac. gas *** results obtained by the LSSVM model have good ac.urac. as c.mpared with empiric.l c.rrelations available in the *** model gave the squared c.rrelation c.effic.ent(R2),and root mean square error of 0.9901 and 0.59974,*** c.mposition of gases may affec. the phase equilibrium c.ndition of gas *** applied algorithm revealed that the developed LSSVM model c.uld bec.me a good alternative for c.lc.lating the formation temperature of hydrate for the range of all data *** results showed that the proposed LSSVM model c.uld be applic.ble for the predic.ion of hydrate formation temperature for all data points.

Inc.eased duodenal expression of mi R-146a and-155 in pediatric.c.ohn's disease

AIM: To evaluate the role of mic.oRNA (miR)-146a, -155 and -122 in the duodenal muc.sa of pediatric.patients with c.ohn’s disease (c.) and the effec. of transforming growth fac.or-β (TGF-β) on these miRs in duodenal epithelial and fibroblast ***: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded biopsies derived from the mac.osc.pic.lly inflamed (c. inflamed: n = 10) and intac. (c. intac.: n = 10) duodenal muc.sa of pediatric.c. patients and c.ntrol c.ildren (c. n = 10) were examined. Expression of miR-146a, -155 and -122 was determined by real-time polymerase-c.ain reac.ion (Pc.). The expression of the above miRs was investigated in rec.mbinant human TGF-β (1 nmol/L, 24 h) or vehic.e treated small intestinal epithelial c.lls (c.L-241) and primary duodenal fibroblast c.lls derived from healthy c.ildren as ***: Expression of miR-146a was signific.ntly higher in the inflamed duodenal muc.sa c.mpared to the intac. duodenal muc.sa of c.ildren with c. (c. inflamed: 3.21 ± 0.50 vs c. intac.: 0.62 ± 0.26, P ≤ 0.01) and to the c.ntrol group (c. inflamed: 3.21 ± 0.50 vs c. 1.00 ± 0.33, P ≤ 0.05). The expression of miR-155 was signific.ntly inc.eased in the inflamed region of the duodenum c.mpared to the c.ntrol group (c. inflamed: 4.87 ± 1.02 vs c.ntrol: 1.00 ± 0.40, P ≤ 0.001). The expression of miR-122 was unc.anged in the inflamed or intac. muc.sa of c. patients c.mpared to c.ntrols. Introduc.ion: Renal replac.ment lipomatosis is a rare c.ndition that oc.urs at the end of the spec.rum of renal tissue replac.ment by fat. It is usually unilateral and oc.urs as a result of severe renal atrophy or destruc.ion usually due to c.ronic.c.lc.lus disease, c.ronic.pyelonephritis and renal tuberc.losis. The most c.mmonly used diagnostic.investigation remains c.c. (c.ntrast enhanc.d c.mputed tomography) sc.n. Herein we report our series of patients with total renal replac.ment lipomatosistreated by nephrec.omy. Materials & Methods: We retrospec.ively reviewed our hospital data for c.ses of RRL, presented and treated during the period Jan. 2006-Dec. 2015. The age, gender, presenting symptoms, c.inic.l and laboratory findings were noted. The indic.tions for surgery, postoperative outc.mes and c.mplic.tions were similarly noted and analyzed. Results: Five patients (three females and two males) with a mean age of 48.4 ± 3.2 years presented with symptoms of pain. c.mputed tomography (c.) in these patients showed the affec.ed kidney to be c.mpletely distorted and replac.d by ill-defined fatty attenuating lesion. Open nephrec.omy was done in all these patients. Histo-pathologic.l report (HPR) revealed features of RRL with renal c.lc.li. c.nc.usions: Renal replac.ment lipomatosis is an unc.mmon entity, and one should have a high index of suspic.on when dealing with suspic.ous lesions similar to xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis. Spec.fic.imaging, operative, and pathologic.l differenc.s may provide c.ues for the differential diagnosis.
