Interleaved high-gain boost converter powered by solar energy using hybrid-based mPP tracking technique

This paper presents a solar-powered interleaved high-gain boost converter(IHGbC)that increases voltage gain with fewer ripples in the output voltage in comparison to existing DC-DC converters.The goal of this research is to develop a hybrid-based maximum power point tracking(mPPT)approach with the combination of a flower pollination(FP)algorithm assisted with a perturb&observe(P&O)mPPT approach for solar photovoltaic(SPV)systems integrated with IHGbC.To ensure effective usage of both FP and P&O algorithms,this study incorporates and validates the hybrid-based mPPT approach.The proposed solar-powered IHGbC with a hybrid-based mPPT algorithm has been computationally modelled and simulated using mATLAb®and Simulink®for both uniform and non-uniform irradiation and analysed for voltage gain,ripples in the output waveforms and convergence time.The proposed hybrid-based mPPT is based on a number of flowers that forecast the initial global peak,assisted by P&O in the last stage for faster convergence to attain the maximum power point(mPP).As a result,the hybrid-based mPPT approach alleviates the computational issues encountered in P&O and FP-based mPP approaches.The proposed hybrid mPPT is compared with conventional mPPT for SPV and the results show that the solar-powered IHGbC using a hybrid-based mPPT technique has negligible oscillations of 0.14%with a high-voltage gain of 7.992 and a fast convergence rate of 0.05 seconds compared to individual P&O-based mPPT and FP-based mPPT techniques.The simulation results of the proposed mPPT with IHGbC outperform the conventional mPPT with high-gain converters.

Performance analysis of multiple gain boost converter with hybrid maximum power point tracker for solar PV connected to grid

This paper analyses the performance of a multiple gain boost converter(mGbC)connected to a solar photovoltaic(SPV)system with a grid-tied inverter.The capacitor inductor capacitor(CLC)-based mGbC is integrated to lift the output voltage of the SPV to the required level.The voltage lifts/levels in a boost converter(bC)are based on the number of CLC cells.The suggested mGbC is compared with various conventional bCs in terms of boost factor and component count.A hybrid fuzzy logic-perturb&observe maximum power point tracker(HFL-P&O mPPT)developed is used to monitor P_(max)(maximum power)generated by the SPV.Also,a comparative analysis of the suggested mPPT with a conventional P&O and fuzzy logic-based(FLb)mPPT for a CLC-based mGbC is presented.The comparison is made in terms of rise time,voltage ripples(%),steady-state time and boost factor.The output characteristics of the developed model for different irradiation conditions are analysed using the mATLAb/Simulink tool.The mPPT simulation result exhibits minimum oscillations at mPP and a significantly better rise time of 0.015 s when compared with a conventional mPPT and FLb mPPT.The proposed CLC-mGbC gives an appreciable boost factor of 4.The generated SPV power is supplied to the grid through a conventional inverter and synchronized using a phase-locked loop system.The total harmonic distortion of 1.66%obtained in the output current of the inverter is within the permissible range of the IEEE standards.

Erosion Wear behaviour of Kenaf/Glass Hybrid Polymer Composites

The awareness amongst the researchers to develop an environment friendly sustainable material leads to explore new class of plant-based fiber for making composites. Hybridization of such plant-based fiber with inclusion of engineered fiber is one of the promising methods to not only enhanced the mechanical performance but also suppressed the drawbacks that associate with such plant-based fiber to some extent. A usual hand lay-up method was taken-up in this work to fabricate four layered of hybrid kenaf(K)/glass(G)polyester laminates with different stacking order such as KKKK,KGKG,KGGK,GKKG and GGGG. The erosive character of the laminates was examined under three distinct particle velocities(48m/s, 70m/s,82m/s)and four different impact angles(30°, 45°, 60°, 90°). All fabricated laminates exhibited a semiductile character at lower velocities(48m/s and70m/s)as peak wear rate was observed at45° impact angle. However,they showed a semi-brittle character at high velocity(82m/s)as maximum rate of erosion was noticed at60° impact angle. Again,the influence of stacking order of piles on erosion wear was also clearly noticed. moreover,the semi-brittle/semi-ductile characterization was also evidenced in accordance to the range of erosion efficiencies. The micro-structures of worn surfaces were inspected thoroughly from the images of scanning electron microscope(SEm)to evident the mechanism of erosion.

cerebrovascular disease of genetic origin characterized by abnormally dilated capillaries and a wide spectrum of symptoms,including headaches,seizures,neurological deficits,and intracerebral hemorrhage.Its unpredictable clinical course and the current lack of therapies make the identification of prognostic and predictive biomarkers an imperative research challenge.1 Herein,we provide evidence that galectin-3(Gal-3),a major tissue and circulating biomarker of oxidative stress and inflammation,is significantly up-regulated both in CCm patients and experimentalmodels.Specifically,wholetranscriptome sequencing,qRT-PCR,and Western blotting studies demonstrated a significant up-regulation of Gal-3 expression levels both in surgical CCm specimens and in blood samples of CCm patients.

bACKGROUND Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that possess the potential for self-renewal with the capacity to differentiate into multiple lineages.In humans,their limited numbers pose a challenge in fulfilling the necessary demands for the regeneration and repair of damaged tissues or organs.Studies suggested that mesenchymal stem cells(mSCs),necessary for repair and regeneration via transplantation,require doses ranging from 10 to 400 million cells.Furthermore,the limited expansion of mSCs restricts their therapeutic application.AIm To optimize a novel protocol to achieve qualitative and quantitative expansion of mSCs to reach the targeted number of cells for cellular transplantation and minimize the limitations in stem cell therapy protocols.mETHODS Human umbilical cord(hUC)tissue derived mSCs were obtained and re-cultured.These cultured cells were subjected to the following evaluation pro-cedures:Immunophenotyping,immunocytochemical staining,trilineage differentiation,population doubling time and number,gene expression markers for proliferation,cell cycle progression,senescence-associatedβ-galactosidase assay,human telomerase reverse transcriptase(hTERT)expression,mycoplasma,cytomegalovirus and endotoxin detection.RESULTS Analysis of pluripotent gene markers Oct4,Sox2,and Nanog in recultured hUC-mSC revealed no significant differences.The immunophenotypic markers CD90,CD73,CD105,CD44,vimentin,CD29,Stro-1,and Lin28 were positively expressed by these recultured expanded mSCs,and were found negative for CD34,CD11b,CD19,CD45,and HLA-DR.The recultured hUC-mSC population continued to expand through passage 15.Proliferative gene expression of Pax6,bmP2,and TGFb1 showed no significant variation between recultured hUC-mSC groups.Nevertheless,a significant increase(Pmitotic phase of the cell cycle was observed in recultured hUC-mSCs.Cellular senescence markers(hTERT expression andβ-galactosidase activity)did not show any negative effect on recultured hUC-mSCs.Additionally,quality control assessments co

Performance Improvement of Kenaf/Glass Polymer Hybrid Composites by Effective Application of Fish Scale Powder as Filler:A Novel Approach

modern technology for developing new items made from renewable resources is becoming more and more popular as a result of rising environmental concern.Recently,contemporary polymer composites have included the hybridization of natural fibers with synthetic ones,along with the inclusion of a variety of biowaste filler for developing sustainable goods.In this work,the kenaf/glass hybrid polyester composites are strengthened by the addition of fish scale(FS),which is taken from the fish􀆳s outermost layer of skin.Five different stacked-order laminates,such as KKKK,KGKG,GKKG,KGGK,and GGGG,are fabricated by using the hand lay-up method with four different weight concentrations of filler content:0%,5%,10%,and 15%.mechanical possessions such as tensile,flexural,impact strength and micro-hardness have been evaluated through experimentation in accordance with ASTm standards.The experimental findings revealed that,the tensile strength and micro-hardness value of KGKG laminates with 15wt%of FS filler are found to be maximum of 118.72 mPa and 17.82 HV respectively which are 39.67%and 26.11%greater than that of KGKG laminates without FS filler.However,the flexural and impact strength of same laminates with 10 wt%FS filler exhibited a maximum value of 142.77 mPa and 62.08 kJ/m2.In order to corroborate its applicability for structural and building materials in open environment,the dimensional stability of the composite has been studied through moisture absorption test.The influences of FS filler loading on dimensional stability and resistance to moisture absorption capacity of laminates are also investigated.The experimental results reflected that the addition of FS-filler has significantly improved the dimensional stability of the laminates in moist environment by reducing the moisture absorption tendency.To further support the mode of failures,a fractography investigation of fractured surfaces was conducted.

Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation conditioning regimens and chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy in various diseases

Conditioning regimens employed in autologous stem cell transplantation have been proven useful in various hematological disorders and underlying malignancies;however,despite being efficacious in various instances,negative consequences have also been recorded.multiple conditioning regimens were extracted from various literature searches from databases like Pubmed,Google scholar,EmbASE,and Cochrane.Conditioning regimens for each disease were compared by using various end points such as overall survival(OS),progression free survival(PFS),and leukemia free survival(LFS).Variables were presented on graphs and analyzed to conclude a more efficacious conditioning regimen.In multiple myeloma,the most effective regimen was high dose melphalan(mEL)given at a dose of 200/mg/m2.The comparative results of acute myeloid leukemia were presented and the regimens that proved to be at an admirable position were busulfan(bU)+mEL regarding OS and bU+VP16 regarding LFS.In case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL),bU,fludarabine,and etoposide(buFluVP)conferred good disease control not only with a paramount improvement in survival rate but also low risk of recurrence.However,for ALL,chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cell therapy was preferred in the context of better OS and LFS.With respect to Hodgkin’s lymphoma,mitoxantrone(mITO)/mEL overtook carmustine,VP16,cytarabine,and mEL in view of PFS and vice versa regarding OS.Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma patients were administered mITO(60 mg/m2)and mEL(180 mg/m2)which showed promising results.Lastly,amyloidosis was considered,and the regimen that proved to be competent was mEL 200(200 mg/m2).This review article demonstrates a comparison between various conditioning regimens employed in different diseases.

Soils in extraterrestrial space: Need for studies under microgravity

With the increased interest of plants in space, gravity cannot be ignored when studying soil-plant-water relations. Therefore, it is important to understand the water relations of soils under zero gravity in space or under reduced gravity on the moon or mars. This paper outlines the problems of moving water in soils under zero gravity or microgravity, as well as growing plants in these soils. It is suggested that microgravity experiments could be done on Earth using both soils and plants. Results from such experiments could be used to grow plants when mankind establishes bases on the moon and mars.

Quantum correlations and entanglement in coupled optomechanical resonators with photon hopping via Gaussian interferometric power analysis

Quantum correlations that surpass entanglement are of great importance in the realms of quantum information processing and quantum computation.Essentially,for quantum systems prepared in pure states,it is difficult to differentiate between quantum entanglement and quantum correlation.Nonetheless,this indistinguishability is no longer holds for mixed states.To contribute to a better understanding of this differentiation,we have explored a simple model for both generating and measuring these quantum correlations.Our study concerns two macroscopic mechanical resonators placed in separate Fabry–Pérot cavities,coupled through the photon hopping process.this system offers a comprehensively way to investigate and quantify quantum correlations beyond entanglement between these mechanical modes.The key ingredient in analyzing quantum correlation in this system is the global covariance matrix.It forms the basis for computing two essential metrics:the logarithmic negativity(E_(N)^(m))and the Gaussian interferometric power(P_(G)^(m)).These metrics provide the tools to measure the degree of quantum entanglement and quantum correlations,respectively.Our study reveals that the Gaussian interferometric power(P_(G)^(m))proves to be a more suitable metric for characterizing quantum correlations among the mechanical modes in an optomechanical quantum system,particularly in scenarios featuring resilient photon hopping.

Complexed amino acid minerals vs. bis-glycinate chelated minerals:Impact on the performance of old laying hens

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn, mn, and Cu) from complexed amino acid minerals(ZmCAA) and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZmCGly) in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality, yolk mineral deposition, intestinal morphometry, and bone characteristics. From 78 to 98 weeks of age, 400 White LSL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per treatment. Treatments were distributed in a 2 ×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn, mn, and Cu of ZmCAA or ZmCGly source at 2 levels: low(20, 20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and Cu, respectively) or high(40, 40, and 7 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and Cu,respectively). The analysis of variance was performed, and in cases where differences were observed, the means were compared using Tukey?s test(P mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying hens. Hens fed ZmCAA had higher egg production(P = 0.01), egg weight(P = 0.02), egg mass(P = 0.01), and lower feed conversion ratio(P =0.05) compared to those fed ZmCGly. The ZmCAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P =0.01), albumen weight(P = 0.01), and eggshell thickness(P mn(PmCAA. Tibia weight(P = 0.04)and bone densitometry(P bia were higher with ZmCAA supplementation. In the small intestine, ZmCAA resulted in longer villi(P = 0.02) and shorter crypt depth(P = 0.01) in the duodenum.Jejunum and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(P mCAA exhibited superior performance, egg quality, deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk, and bone density compared to hens fed ZmCGly. In this study, older laying hens supplemented with ZmCAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.
