dear Editor,As mass vaccination has been accomplished worldwide and a growing number of individuals have already been infected by SARS-CoV-2,understanding the incidence of subsequent re-infection is urgently required for comprehending the transmission dynamics of COVId-19(bobrovitz et al.,2023).Additionally,current SARS-CoV-2 variants cause widespread escape from the neutralizing antibody(nAb)elicited by current ***,durable neutralization and memory b cell responses can be predicted by rapid Cd4t T cell responses,particularly strong circulating T follicular helper(cTfh)cell responses,in individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2(Gong et al.,2020;boppana et al.,2021;Narowski et al.,2022).Although nAb titers are known as predictors of protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants(Khoury et al.,2021),identifying more potential factors that could predict the risk of re-infection following primary infection and vaccination has become quite important in shaping prevention strategies(Chemaitelly et al.,2023).

A spectral programmable,continuous-wave mid-infrared(MIR)optical parametric oscillator(OPO),enabled by a self-developed high-power spectral tailorable fiber laser,was proposed and *** operating at a singlewavelength,the maximum idler power reached 5.53 W at 3028 nm,with a corresponding pump-to-idler conversion efficiency of 14.7%.The wavelength number switchable output was available from one to *** single idler was tunable in a range of 528 nm(2852–3380 nm).In a dual-wavelength operation,the interval between two idlers could be flexibly tuned for 470 nm(53–523 nm),and the intensity of each channel was *** idler emission was realized,meanwhile exhibiting spectral custom-tailored ***,we balanced the parametric gain through the pre-modulating broadband multi-peak pump spectra,enabling a 10 d b bandwidth adjustment of the idler emission from 20 to 125 *** versatile mid-infrared laser,simultaneously featuring wide tuning,multi-wavelength operation,and broad bandwidth manipulation,has great application potential in composition detection,terahertz generation,and speckle-free imaging.

To promote the production and application of artificial aggregates,save natural sand resources and protect the ecological environment,we evaluated the feasibility of using spherical porous functional aggregates(SPFAs) formed by basalt saw mud under autoclave curing in ordinary structural *** our work,two types of prewetted functional aggregates were taken as replacements for natural aggregates with different volume substitution rates(0%,5%,10%,15%,20%,25%,and 30%) in the preparation of ordinary structural concrete with water-to-binder ratios(W/b) of 0.48 and *** effects of the functional aggregate properties and content,W/b,and curing age on the fluidity,density,mechanical properties and autogenous shrinkage of ordinary concrete were *** experimental results showed that the density of concrete declined at a rate of not more than 5%,and the 28 d compressive strength could reach 31.0-68.2 *** W/b,long curing age and high-quality functional aggregates were conducive to enhancing the mechanical properties of SPFAs *** the rolling effects,SPFAs can optimize the particle gradation of aggregate systems and improve the fluidity of concrete,and the water stored inside SPFAs provides an internal curing effect,which prolongs the cement hydration process and considerably reduces the autogenous shrinkage of *** exhibits high strength and high density,as well as being more cost-effective and ecological,and is expected to be widely employed in ordinary structural concrete.

liver regeneration following injury aids the restoration of liver mass and the recovery of liver *** the present study we investigated the contribution of megakaryocytic leukemia 1(MKL1),a transcriptional modulator,to liver *** report that both MKL1 expression and its nuclear translocation correlated with hepatocyte proliferation in cell and animal models of liver regeneration and in liver failure *** with MKL1 deletion exhibited defective regenerative response in the *** analysis revealed that MKL1 interacted with E2F1 to program pro-regenerative ***2 mediated phosphorylation primed MKL1 for its interaction with *** interest,phospholipase d2 promoted MKL1 nuclear accumulation and liver regeneration by catalyzing production of phosphatidic acid(PA).PA administration stimulated hepatocyte proliferation and enhanced survival in a MKL1-dependent manner in a pre-clinical model of liver ***,PA levels was detected to be positively correlated with expression of pro-regenerative genes and inversely correlated with liver injury in liver failure *** conclusion,our data reveal a novel mechanism whereby MKL1 contributes to liver *** for small-molecule compounds boosting MKL1 activity may be considered as a reasonable approach to treat acute liver failure.

Nitrate products are widely used in manufacturing as crucial raw materials and *** traditional nitrate synthesis process involves high energy consumption and emission,thereby opposing the goals of zero-carbon emission and green ***,a sustainable roadmap for nitrate synthesis that uses green energy input,clean N sources,and direct catalytic processes is urgently required(e.g.,developing a novel photosynthesis system).Here,we synthesized TiO2-supported atomically dispersed Cu species for N_(2)photofixation to nitrate in a flow *** optimized photocatalyst yielded a high nitrate photosynthesis rate of 0.93μmol h-1 and selectivity of~90%,which is superior to most of the values reported thus ***,experimental results and in-situ investigations revealed that the atomically dispersed Cu sites in the as-designed sample significantly enhanced the separation and transfer efficiency of photogenerated carriers,adsorption and activation of reactants,and the formation of chemisorbed O_(x)intermediates,thereby realizing the excellent photofixation of N_(2)to nitrate.

The evolution of high-frequency communication has accentuated the significance of controlling dielectric properties in polymer ***,it has been theorized that rigid molecular chains lead to lower dielectric ***,the validity of this proposition at high frequencies remains *** scrutinize the correlation between chain flexibility and dielectric properties,we synthesized six poly(ester imide)s(PEIs)with systematically varied molecular chain flexibilities by modifying the ester's substitution on the aromatic *** introduction of ester bonds bestowed all PEI films with a low dielectric dissipation factor(d_(f)),ranging from 0.0021 to 0.0038 at 10 GHz in dry *** dry d_(f)displayed a pattern consistent with volume polarizability(P/V).Unexpectedly,PI-mmm-T,featu ring the most flexible molecular chain,exhibited the lowest dielectric loss under both dry(0.0021@10 GHz)and hygroscopic(0.0029@10 GHz)***,the observed increase in d_(f)after humidity absorption suggests that the high dielectric loss of PEI in applications may be attributed to its hygroscopic *** simulations and characterization of the aggregation structure revealed that the smaller cavities within flexible molecular chains,after close stacking,impede the entry of water *** sacrificing high-temperature resistance,the precursor exhibited enhanced solubility properties and could be processed into high-quality *** research unveils new insights into the relationship between flexibility and highfrequency dielectric loss,offering innovative perspectives on synthesizing aromatic polymers with exceptional dielectric properties.

The superτ-charm facility(STCF)is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics *** is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or *** STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the bEPCII,providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity violation),in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard *** STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&d *** document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future plans for detector R&d and physics case studies.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)transplantation is a promising strategy for osteoporosis ***,limited sources and poor tissue-homing efficiency limit their clinical *** this study,we isolated a kind of MSCs from women’s menstrual blood(MenSCs)noninvasively and established a novel MSCs bone marrow-targeted delivery system by utilizing waterin-oil-in-water droplet *** were encapsulated withinβ-cyclodextrin-functionalized alginate microcapsules loaded with zoledronates,which has a high affinity for *** this delivery system,MenSCs could be preferentially delivered to the bone marrow tissues via intravenous infusion,and restored bone mass by remodeling the bone marrow niche in situ in ovariectomized mouse ***,scRNA-seq analysis demonstrated that those MenSCs homed to the bone marrow recruited Cd4^(+)FOXP3^(+)natural regulatory T(nT_(reg))cells by secreting *** recruited nTreg promoted Cd8^(+)T cells to secret Wnt family member 10b(WNT10b),activating the Wnt signaling in osteoblasts and thus promoting bone formation in situ in the bone *** study reveals a promising application of MenSCs in postmenopausal osteoporosis treatment and highlights the clinical value of MenSCs by encouraging women to reserve autologous MenSCs before menopause to prevent and alleviate postmenopausal osteoporosis.

Research on discrete memristor-based neural networks has received much ***,current research mainly focuses on memristor–based discrete homogeneous neuron networks,while memristor-coupled discrete heterogeneous neuron networks are rarely *** this study,a new four-stable discrete locally active memristor is proposed and its nonvolatile and locally active properties are verified by its power-off plot and dC V–I *** on two-dimensional(2d)discrete Izhikevich neuron and 2d discrete Chialvo neuron,a heterogeneous discrete neuron network is constructed by using the proposed discrete memristor as a coupling synapse connecting the two heterogeneous *** the coupling strength as the control parameter,chaotic firing,periodic firing,and hyperchaotic firing patterns are *** particular,multiple coexisting firing patterns are observed,which are induced by different initial values of the *** synchronization between the two heterogeneous neurons is discussed and it is found that they can achieve perfect synchronous at large coupling ***,the effect of Gaussian white noise on synchronization behaviors is also *** demonstrate that the presence of noise not only leads to the transition of firing patterns,but also achieves the phase synchronization between two heterogeneous neurons under low coupling strength.
