We introduce a new wavelet based procedure for detecting outliers in financial discrete time *** procedure focuses on the analysis of residuals obtained from a model fit,and applied to the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity(GARCH)like model,but not limited to these *** apply the Maximal-Overlap Discrete Wavelet Transform(MODWT)to the residuals and compare their wavelet coefficients against quantile thresholds to detect *** methodology has several advantages over existing methods that make use of the standard Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT).The series sample size does not need to be a power of 2 and the transform can explore any wavelet filter and be run up to the desired *** wavelet quantiles from a Normal and Student t-distribution are used as threshold for the maximum of the absolute value of wavelet *** performance of the procedure is illustrated and applied to two real series:the closed price of the Saudi Stock market and the S&P 500 index *** efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated and can be considered as a distinct important addition to the existing methods.

Within Karakoram Himalaya, Hunza River basin(study area) is unique for a number of reasons: 1) potential impacts of highly concentrated highpitched mountains and glacial ice; 2) the glaciated portions have higher mean altitude as compared to other glaciated landscapes in the Karakoram; 3) this basin occupies varieties of both clean and debriscovered glaciers and/or ice. Therefore, it is imperative to understand the stability of topographic surface and potential implications of fluctuating glacial-ice causing variations in the movement of material from higher to lower elevations. This paper advocates landscape-level hypsometric investigations of glaciated landscape lies between 2280–7850 m elevation above sea level and non-glaciated landscape between 1461–7570 m. An attempt is made to understand intermediate elevations, which disguise the characteristics of glaciated hypsometries that are highly correlated with the Equilibrium Line Altitude(ELA). However, due to data scarcity for high altitude regions especially above 5000 m elevation, literature values for climatic conditions are used to create a relationship between hypsometry and variations in climate and ELA. The largest glaciated area(29.22%) between 5047 to 5555 m lies in the vertical regime of direct snow-accumulation zone and in the horizontal regime of net-accumulation zone(low velocity, net freezing, and no-sliding). In both landscapes, the hypsometric curves are ‘slow beginning' followed by ‘steep progress' and finally reaching a ‘plateau', reflecting the rapid altitudinal changes and the dominance of fluvial transport resulting in the denudation of land-dwelling and the transport of rock/debris from higher to lower altitudes. Reported slight differences in the average normalized bin altitudes against the cumulative normalized area between glaciated and non-glaciated landscapes are an indicator of slightly different land-forms and landform changes.

Cryptography and steganography are two important and related fields of information ***,steganography is slightly different in the sense that it hides the existence of secret information from unauthorized *** is one of the most appealing research domains,have applications like copyright protection,data integrity protection and manipulation *** steganography techniques have been proposed in ***,in this work a new information hiding algorithm is *** proposed technique de-correlates frequency components of cover image using discrete cosine transform and uses the least significant bits of frequency components for hiding secret *** tech-nique hides variable number of bits of secret message in different frequency ***,it hides different amount of secret information in different regions of cover im-age and results in enhancement of *** algorithm has the flexibility to change the hiding capacity and quality of final stego *** has been observed from experimental results that a hiding a capacity from 3%to 43%can be achieved with significantly good quality of 41 db to 37 db in term of peak signal to noise *** successful recovery of the hidden information need the pattern,called stego key,in which is used in hiding *** algorithm provides twofold security;hiding keeps the existence of hidden information secret and the large key size makes the retrieval of hidden information difficult for intruders.

Limestone and clay samples were collected from Darukhula and adjoining areas of the Nizampur District,Nowshera,N.W.F.P.,Pakistan,and analyzed for different parameters in order to search for new reserves of suitable material for the manufacture of different types of cements in *** was found that the area under study contains three types of limestones,including high grade limestone,Darukhula limestone and siliceous limestone,which contain 53%,49.03% and 45.19% CaO,respectively,and three types of clay,including maroon color,yellow to yellowish-green color and green color clay containing 57.76%,65.47% and 61.24% SiO2,*** analysis of the limestone and clay samples collected from the deposits in the area under study showed that all the elements found in these samples are within the range of permissible limits for the production of high-strength Portland cement,sulphate resisting cement and white *** paper covers the detailed version of the potential raw material deposits at Darukhula and adjoining areas of the Nizampur District.

Mycetoma at a tertiary care hospital in Saudi Arabia: correlation of histopathological and clinical findings

Objective: To present the histopathological and clinical correlation of mycetoma among patients attending King Abdulaziz University Hospital between ***: The data of all histopathologically diagnosed mycetomas in the period between January 1998 and January 2013 were collected through a computerized database search of the anatomic pathology archives at King Abdulaziz University Hospital. The collected data were analysed. Identification of species were performed for five patients using 16 S ribosomal DNA and internal transcribed spacer ***: There were 19 patients with mycetoma with an average age of 44.26 years and male: female ratio of 4:1. Actinomycetoma were 63.15% and eumycetoma were 36.84%. All patients presented with the classic lesions; presenting as painless subcutaneous mass, sinuses and discharge containing grains. The swellings were of slow evolution, with preferential foot localization. Species specification performed for samples from five patients with active lesions revealed species of Actinomyces israelii and Madurella mycetomatis in respective ***: Actinomycetoma is more common than eumycetoma in this region. The fact that one of the patients with eumycetoma was a Saudi national raises the possibility of an indigenous species similar to Maduraella mycetomatis to be further explored for characteristics and pathogenesis. The disease has to be prioritized again and more robust and quick molecular diagnostic tools should be made available in order to save patients form disfiguring amputations.

The study was performed for removing ibuprofen from water using ozonation with visible light SrWO4/ZnO *** the removal of Ibuprofen,the overall reaction was carried out in a glass reactor in the presence of UV light and constant supply of *** maximum removal efficiency of Ibuprofen was 93%at 0.1 mg/L initial Ibuprofen concentration,and 0.35 g/L catalyst concentration keeping the contact time 30 *** a certain value,an increase in a concentration of doping agent,catalyst as well as initial Ibuprofen concentration results in a decrease of efficiency of the *** prepared photo catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction,FTIR spectra and SEM *** peaks and FTIR spectra has clearly shown that the doping of SrWO4 with ZnO showed better result as compared to *** analysis showed that they spherical nano-composite crystals were dominant in *** character was found to reduce after ozonation of *** by products were formed and were identified through GC-MS *** results,it was found that combination of SrWO4/ZnO was able to remove 93%of ibuprofen and 0.4%dopping of ZnO on SrWO4 was found to be *** pattern of by products were identitified in GC-MS with various mass ratios as 177,92,57,*** 55%removal of bOD was observed in this *** study was found to be useful for removal of pharmaceuticals and other similar pollutants from water effectively.
