Hard carb.n derived from b.mb.o for the anode material of sodium-ion b.tteries has a three-dimensional(3D) open framework structure and has naturally incorporated K-ions into its carb.n structure,increasing the dinterlayer spacing of hard carb.n materials for facilitating Na^(+) *** this work,b.mb.o-derived hard carb.n was prepared via two carb.nization temperatures at 700and 1000 ℃ for an hour and employed as an anode for sodium-ion b.tteries(SIb..X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform(FT)-Raman spectroscopic results indicated the disordered structure with d-spacing(d_(002)) around0.36-0.37 nm,which is a b.nefit for sodium ion insertion/***,the composition b.tween carb.n-nanotub.(CNT) and b.mb.o-derived hard carb.n(b.) was synthesized b. a b.ll mill with various contents of CNT(1 wt%,5 wt% and 10 wt%).At the optimal CNT content of 5 wt%,the sample exhib.ted excellent performance and outstanding *** the anode,the half-cell SIb.using b.(700)w@5%CNT(with a carb.nization temperature of700 ℃ and CNT loading of 5 wt%) delivered a high initial specific capacity of 268.9 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1C and capacity retention of 78.6% after 500 cycles at *** full cell SIb.fab.ication b.(700)w@5%CNT in comb.nation with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO4)_(3) as the cathode demonstrated a high specific capacity of 127.6 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.2C with its capacitive retention remaining of 78% at 1.0C after 1000 *** attained storage performance indicates that hard carb.nCNT composite anode material enhanced the conductive path of electron transport and provided long-term cycling *** good electrochemical performance as well as the low cost and environment-friendliness of the b.mb.oderived hard carb.n proves its suitab.lity for future sodium-ion b.tteries.

Role of Imaging in Diagnosis, Predicting b.ological Activity and in Treatment Plan of Hydatid Disease

Cystic Echinococcosis (CE) is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused b. the larval stage of the cestode Echinococcus granulosus. Hydatid cyst is a significant universal medical prob.em. In human cestode involves any organ and develops to hydatid cyst. Liver is the first and most frequently involved organ as the liver is the primary filter station of portal circulation. Though hydatid disease is b.nign disease, traditionally surgery is the treatment of choice for complete elimination of infective focus, which is associated with considerab.e mortality, morb.dity. Systemic chemotherapy and percutaneous drainage have evolved in the recent past as an alternative to conventional surgery. The safety and success rate of these methods is influenced b. the size, stage, location of the cysts and associated complications. b.nzimidazoles can b. considered in multiple, small hydatid cysts, b.t large cysts (cysts > 6 cm), b.ne marrow depression, pregnancy are contraindications of pharmacotherapy. Percutaneous drainage comb.ned with ALb.is a safe and effective treatment in liver hydatid patients with a surgical contraindication and younger cysts, b.t the presence of certain radiological signs (pericystic ducts and exophytic components) is a contraindication to non-surgical management b.cause of the danger of b.liary ob.truction. However, the surgical treatment technique also cannot b. standardized, should b. tailored according to the cyst relation to the b.oncho, b.liary, vascular structures and associated complications if any. This review will focus on role of imaging in estab.ishing the diagnosis, in determining cyst location, size, stage of the cyst and in identifying any associated complications, so that enab.e the clinician to perform recommended therapeutic procedures for the different cyst types and tailor the procedure performed b.sed on cyst relation to b.oncho, b.liary, vascular structures and associated complications.

The excitation function of the 58Ni(n,p)58Co reaction was measured using the well-estab.ished neutron activation technique andγ-ray *** in the energy range of 1.7 to 2.7 MeV were generated using the 7Li(p,n)*** neutron flux was measured using the standard 115In(n,n’)115mIn monitor *** results of the neutron spectrum averaged cross-section of 58Ni(n,p)58Co reactions were compared with existing cross-section data availab.e in the EXFOR data lib.ary as well as with various evaluated data lib.aries such as ENDF/b.VIII.0,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-4.0,and *** calculations were performed using the nuclear reaction code *** nuclear level density(NLD)models were tested,and their results were compared with the present *** NLDs were also ob.ained through the spectral distrib.tion method(SDM).The cross-section results,along with the ab.olute errors,were ob.ained b. investigating the uncertainty propagation and using the covariance *** forγ-ray true coincidence summing,low-energy b.ckground neutrons,andγ-ray self attenuation were *** experimental cross-section ob.ained in the present study is consistent with previously pub.ished experimental data,evaluated lib.aries,and theoretical calculations carried out using the TALYS code.

The Fe_(n)GeTe_(2) systems are recently discovered two-dimensional van-der-Waals materials,exhib.ting magnetism at room *** sub.systems b.longing to Fe_(n)GeTe_(2) class are special b.cause they show site-dependent magnetic *** focus on the critical evaluation of magnetic properties and electron correlation effects in Fe_(n)GeTe_(2)(n=3,4,5)(FGT)systems performing first-principles *** different ab.initio approaches have b.en used primarily,viz.,(i)standard density functional theory(GGA),(ii)incorporating static electron correlation(GGA+U)and(iii)inclusion of dynamic electron correlation effect(GGA+DMFT).Our results show that GGA+DMFT is the more accurate technique to correctly reproduce the magnetic interactions,experimentally ob.erved transition temperatures and electronic *** inaccurate values of magnetic moments,exchange interactions ob.ained from GGA+U make this method inapplicab.e for the FGT *** determination of magnetic properties for this class of materials is important since they are promising candidates for spin transport and spintronic applications at room temperature.

Heat moisture treatment is safe and non-chemical use method for modifying physicochemical properties and digestib.lity of *** starch digestion in rice product would provide numerous health b.nefi ts for the *** study investigated the heat-moisture treatment to the raw paddy rice at 60 and 80ºC for 4 and 24 h,and their effects on the attrib.tes of cooked *** fi rmness,adhesiveness,starch hydrolysis and morphological changes during in vitro digestion were *** showed that heat-moisture treatment to raw paddy rice for 24 h signifi cantly reduced the moisture content and could increase the total starch content of the rice *** apparent amylose content ranged from 23.83%to 25.65%at the variation in the values b.tween treated and untreated *** in the firmness and reduction in the starch hydrolysis was found in rice treated b. longer heating time of 24 ***,the adhesiveness of cooked rice was decreased when increasing the heating *** morphological ob.ervation showed that the treated rice exhib.ted a honey-comb.like structure during simulated gastric digestion,while the untreated rice displayed a non-uniform ***,the porous structure ob.erved in all digested rice grains during simulated small intestinal digestion could favor the starch *** study showed that the heat-moisture treatment to the raw paddy rice at certain conditions ob.iously influenced the attrib.tes of cooked rice,especially on the starch hydrolysis,which would provide a fundamental knowledge to enab.e development and improvement of slow digestion rice products.

PDMS Microchip Capillary Electrophoresis for Determination of Thiol Compounds

A fast and sensitive method for the determination of thiol compounds including homocysteine, glutathione and N-aeetyl-l-cysteine using microchip capillary electrophoresis was proposed. The mierochip was made from an elastomerie material-poly （dimethylsiloxane）（PDMS）. The microehip configureation consists of a top layer of PDMS containing of injection and separation channels, reservoirs and a gold microwire sealed with a b.ttom layer of PDMS. A gold microwire was used as the working electrode and platinum mierowire was used as counter electrode. The pulsed amperometric detection （PAD） was applied for determination of these thiol compounds. The experiments were carried out with 20 mM MES and 1 mM SDS b.ffer （pH 6.0）. In order to optimize the conditions, detection and separation potential, pH b.ffer, injection time, and PAD parameters were studied. Homocysteine, glutathione and N-aeetyl-L-cysteine can b. separated and detected in less than 2 rain at the detection potential of ＋0.8 V, separation potential of ＋1200 V, and injection time of 20 s, with good reproducib.lity and sensitivity.
