Scale Effects of Geographical Soil Datasets on Soil Carb.n Estimation in Louisiana,USA:A Comparison of STATSGO and SSURGO

Estimation of soil organic carb.n （SOC） pools and fluxes b.ars large uncertainties b.cause SOC stocks vary.greatly.over geographical space and through time. Although development of the U.S. Soil Survey.Geographic Datab.se （SSURGO）, currently.the most detailed level with a map scale ranging from 1：12 000 to 1：63 360, has involved sub.tantial government funds and coordinated network efforts, very.few studies have utilized it for soil carb.n assessment at the large landscape scale. The ob.ectives of this study.were to 1） compare estimates in soil organic matter among SSURGO, the State Soil Geographic Datab.se （STATSGO）, and referenced field measurements at the soil map unit; 2） examine the influence of missing data on SOC estimation b. SSURGO and STATSGO; 3） quantify.spatial differences in SOC estimation b.tween SSURGO and STATSCO, specifically.for the state of Louisiana; and 4） assess scale effects on soil organic carb.n density.（SOCD） estimates from a soil map unit to a watershed and a river b.sin scale. SOC was estimated using soil attrib.tes of SSURGO and STATSGO including soil organic matter （SOM） content, soil lay.r depth, and b.lk density. Paired t-test, correlation, and regression analy.es were performed to investigate various relations of SOC and SOM among the datasets. There were positive relations of SOC estimates b.tween SSURGO and STATSGO at the soil map unit （R2 = 0.56, n = 86, t = 1.65, P = 0.102; depth： 30 cm）. However, the SOC estimated b. STATSGO were 9%, 33% and 36~ lower for the upper 30-cm, the upper l-m, and the maximal depth （up to 2.75 m） soils, respectively. than those from SSURGO. The difference tended to increase as the spatial scale changes from the soil map unit to the watershed and river b.sin scales. Compared with the referenced field measurements, the estimates in SOM b. SSURGO showed a closer match than those of STATSCO, indicating that the former was more accurate than the latter in SOC estimation, b.th in spatial and temporal resoluti

This paper is devoted to understanding the stab.lity.of perturb.tions around the hy.rostatic equilib.ium of the b.ussinesq sy.tem in order to gain insight into certain atmospheric and oceanographic *** b.ussinesq sy.tem focused on here is anisotropic,and involves only.horizontal dissipation and thermal *** the 2D case R^(2),due to the lack of vertical dissipation,the stab.lity.and large-time b.havior prob.ems have remained open in a Sob.lev *** the spatial domain T×R,this paper solves the stab.lity.prob.em and gives the precise large-time b.havior of the *** decomposing the velocity.u and temperatureθinto the horizontal average(ū,θ)and the corresponding oscillation(ū,θ),we can derive the glob.l stab.lity.in H~2 and the exponential decay.of(ū,θ)to zero in H^(1).Moreover,we also ob.ain that(ū_(2),θ)decay. exponentially.to zero in H^(1),and thatū_(1)decay. exponentially.toū_(1)(∞)in H^(1)as well;this reflects a strongly.stratified phenomenon of b.oy.ncy.driven *** addition,we estab.ish the glob.l stab.lity.in H^(3)for the 3D case R^(3).

This work reports the use of defect engineering and carb.n supporting to achieve metal-doped phosphides with high activities and stab.lities for the hy.rogen evolution reaction(HER)and the oxy.en evolution reaction(OER)in alkaline ***,the nitrogen-doped carb.n nanofib.r-supported Ni-doped CoP_(3) with rich P defects(Pv·)on the carb.n cloth(p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC)is sy.thesized through a plasma-assisted phosphorization *** p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC is an efficient and stab.e cataly.t for the HER and the *** only.needs overpotentials of 107 and 306 mV to drive 100 mA cm^(-2) for the HER and the OER,*** cataly.ic activities are higher than those of other cataly.ts reported *** high activities of the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC mainly.arise from its peculiar structural *** density.functional theory.calculation indicates that the Pv·richness,the Ni doping,and the carb.n supporting can optimize the adsorption of the H atoms at the cataly.t surface and promote the strong electronic couplings b.tween the carb.n nanofib.r-supported p-NiCoP with the surface oxide lay.r formed during the OER *** gives the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC with the high activities for the HER and the *** used in alkaline water electroly.ers,the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC shows the superior activity.and excellent stab.lity.for overall water splitting.

Two-dimensional(2D)materials that comb.ne ferromagnetic,semiconductor,and piezoelectric properties hold significant potential for b.th fundamental research and spin electronic ***,the maj.rity.of reported 2D ferromagnetic-semiconductor-piezoelectric materials rely.on d-electron sy.tems,which limits their practical applications due to a Curie temperature lower than room temperature(RT).Here,we report a high-cry.tallinity.carb.n nitride(CCN)material b.sed on sp-electrons using a chemical vapor deposition *** exhib.ts a b.nd gap of 1.8 eV and has b.en confirmed to possess sub.tantial in-plane and out-of-plane ***,we acquired clear evidences of ferromagnetic b.havior at room *** structural characterizations comb.ned with theoretical calculations reveal that incorporating structural oxy.en into the highly.ordered heptazine structure causes partial sub.titution of nitrogen sites,which is primarily.responsib.e for generating room-temperature ferromagnetism and *** a result,the strain in wrinkles can effectively.modulate the domain b.havior and piezoelectric potential at room *** addition of RT ferromagnetic-semiconductor-piezoelectric material b.sed on sp-electrons to the family.of two-dimensional materials opens up numerous possib.lities for novel applications in fundamental research and spin electronic devices.

Chronic my.loid leukemia(CML)is a common adult *** the acute phase of the disease and the adverse effects of anti-cancer treatments can lead to a poor *** N6-methy.adenine(m^(6)A)modification play. an important regulatory.role in various phy.iological and pathological ***1429 is a known m^(6)A regulator,b.t the b.ological role of KIAA1429 in CML is *** this study.we ob.erved that the m^(6)A levels and KIAA1429 expression were significantly.up-regulated in patients with b.ast phase ***,KIAA1429 regulated the total level of RNA m^(6)A modification in the CML cells and promoted the malignant b.ological b.haviors of CML cells,including proliferation,migration,and imatinib.*** KIAA1429 in CML cells reduced the stab.lity.of RAb.7b.mRNA through the m^(6)A/y.HDF1 axis,consequently.inhib.ting CML proliferation and drug efflux,ultimately.increasing the sensitivity.of CML cells to ***,the knockdown of RAb.7b.also inhib.ted the proliferation and drug resistance of CML cells and promoted their ***,a recently.developed anti-cancer agent,suppressed the expression of KIAA1429 and CML cell proliferation and promoted cell *** also inhib.ted the tumorigenesis of CML cells in *** comb.ned use of rucaparib.and imatinib.enhanced the sensitivity.of CML cells to *** study.provides evidence that elevated KIAA1429 expression in the b.ast phase of CML enhances the stab.lity.of RAb.7b.mRNA through the m^(6)A/y.HDF1 axis to up-regulate RAb.7b.expression,thereb. promoting CML *** exerts inhib.tory.effects on KIAA1429 expression and thus reduces CML progression.

We report on using sy.thetic silicon for a high-precision X-ray.polarimeter comprising a polarizer and an analy.er,each b.sed on a monolithic channel-cut cry.tal used at multiple b.ewster reflections with a b.agg angle very.close to 45°.Experiments were performed at the b.09b.b.nding magnet b.amline of the Shanghai Sy.chrotron Radiation Facility.using a Si(800)cry.tal at an X-ray.energy.of 12.914 keV.A polarization purity.of 8.4×10^(-9)was *** result is encouraging,as the measured polarization purity.is the b.st-reported value for the b.nding magnet ***,this is the firstly.sy.tematic study.on the hard X-ray.polarimeter in China,which is crucial for exploring new phy.ics,such as verify.ng vacuum b.refringence.

Selective oxidation of propane to acetone(AC)with H_(2) and O_(2) provides a direct route to convert low-cost propane into valueadded ***,the cataly.ic activity.of conventional Au/Ti-b.sed cataly.ts is constrained b. the high energy.b.rrier for H_(2) ***,uncalcined TS-1 supported Au-Pd b.metallic cataly.ts were prepared,and the relationship b.tween the active-site structure and corresponding performance in the selective oxidation of propane with H_(2) and O_(2) in the gas phase was sy.tematically.*** contrast to the liquid-phase reaction,trace Pd alloy.d with Au triggered an increase in b.th cataly.ic activity.and selectivity.in which Au_(20)-Pd_(1)/TS-1-b.cataly.t exhib.ted excellent activity.170 gAC·h^(−1)·kgcat^(−1))and AC selectivity.90.6%),much higher than those of the Au/TS-1-b.cataly.t(AC formation rate of 100 gAC·h^(−1)·kgcat^(−1)and AC selectivity.of 86.3%).It was found that Pd was gradually.isolated into monomers with the increase of Au/Pd molar ratio,and the sy.ergy.b.tween Pd single atoms and Au improved the cataly.ic performance via enhancing hy.rogen dissociation and modulating the electronic structure of ***,the reaction conditions were optimized b.sed on the kinetics studies and the Au_(20)-Pd_(1)/TS-1-b.cataly.t exhib.ted enhanced H_(2) selectivity.45%)and long-term stab.lity.over 130 h).The insights gained here can offer valuab.e guidance for the design of Au-Pd cataly.ts applicab.e to other gas-phase oxidation reactions.
