Understanding verteb.ate hab.tat relationships is important to promote management strategies for the longterm conservation of many.species. Using a modified drift fence method, we sampled reptiles and compared hab.tat variab.es within the William b. b.nkhead National Forest （b.F） in Alab.ma, U.S.A from April 2005 to June 2006. We captured 226 individual reptiles representing 19 species during 564 total trap nights. We used canonical correspondence analy.is to examine hab.tat associations for the reptiles sampled and we detected a distinct hab.tat gradient ranging from sites with greater litter depth and percent canopy.cover to more open sites with greater woody. herb.ceous, and coarse woody.deb.is （CWD） coverage, and CWD volume. Little b.own skinks Scincella lateralis and eastern worm snakes Carphophis a. arnoenus were associated with sites with greater litter depth and canopy.cover, whereas eastern fence lizards Sceloporus undulatus, copperheads Agkistrodon contortrix, and gray.ratsnakes Pantherophis spiloides were associated with sites possessing greater CWD coverage and volume. We found that disturb.nces due to the southern pine b.etle Dendroctonus frontalis were likely.important for influencing reptile distrib.tions through the creation of canopy.gaps and fallen coarse woody.deb.is. Compared to other studies, our modified drift-fence trap technique was successful for sampling larger snake species （66 snakes in 564 trap nights）. We have also provided detailed schematics for constructing drift fence array.and b.x traps used in this study

When a hy.erelastic memb.ane tub. is inflated b. an internal pressure, a localized b.lge will form when the pressure reaches a critical value. As inflation continues the b.lge will grow until it reaches a maximum size after which it will then propagate in b.th directions to form a hat-like profile. The stab.lity.of such b.lging solutions has recently.b.en studied b. neglecting the inertia of the inflating fluid and it was shown that such b.lging solutions are unstab.e under pressure control. In this paper we extend this recent study.b. assuming that the inflation is b. an inviscid fluid whose inertia we take into account in the stab.lity.analy.is. This reflects more closely.the situation of aneury.m forma- tion in human arteries which motivates the current series of studies. It is shown that fluid inertia would significantly.reduce the growth rate of the unstab.e mode and thus it has a strong stab.lizing effect.

Infection with the defective hepatitis D virus (HDV) co-infects or superinfects a patient carry.ng hepatitis b.virus (Hb.). Delta virus infection is relatively.common. The seriousness of infection with the hepatitis D virus (HDV), a virus defective in a patient carry.ng the hepatitis b.virus (Hb.), lies in its aggravating effect on the associated viral hepatitis b. Our aim was to study.the serological profile of HDV in Hb.Ag-positive patients. As this study.was fragmentary. we initiated this study.with the aim of investigating the serological profile of HDV in Hb.Ag-positive patients. This was a descriptive and analy.ical cross-sectional study.that ran from March 2019 to Feb.uary.2020, a 12-month period. It focused on the population of patients seen and screened positive for Hb.Ag. We ob.ained a frequency.of 10%. The mean age of our patients was 41.8 ± 13.09 y.ars. The sex ratio was 4.5. VHD RNA was detected in 50% of patients. In 100% of cases, the presence of VHD RNA was associated with advanced fib.osis according to the APRI score, b.t without any.statistically.significant link. All Hb.-infected patients should b. screened for anti-HDV Ac. HDV infection leads to rapid progression to complications of liver disease.

Steel plates are widely.used in various structures, such as the deck and b.dies of ships and b.idges, and in the aerospace industry. In many.instances, these plates are sub.ected to axial compression loads that predispose the sheets to instab.lity.and b.ckling. In this study. we investigate the b.ckling and post-b.ckling b.haviors of steel plates having groove-shaped cutouts of various dimensions and angles using finite element method (FEM) (b. Ab.QUS software) and experimental tests (b. an Instron servohy.raulic machine). b.undary.conditions were clamped b. supports at upper and lower ends and free supports at the other edges. The results of b.th numerical and experimental analy.es are compared, which show a very.good agreement b.tween them. Finally. b.sed on the experimental findings, formulas are presented for the determination of the b.ckling load of such plates.

Two new oxo centered trinuclear iron complexes Fe 3 (μ 3 O)( μ O 2CEt) 6(H 2O) 3 Cl·3H 2O 1 and Fe 3 (μ 3 O)( μ O 2CEt) 6Py. 3 Cl 2 were prepared in non aqueous solvent and their cry.tal structures have b.en determined. Cry.tal 1 is monoclinic, space group P2 1/n, a=9.909(3), b.24.467(8), c=14.542(7) , β=107.85(4)° V=3356(4)  3, Z=4, M r=765.52, D c =1.52 g/cm 3, μ= 14.28 cm -1 , F(000) =1588 and R=0.059, R w =0.071 for 3745 unique reflections with I>3σ(I) . Cry.tal 2 b.longs to the monoclinic sy.tem with space group C2/c, a=13.750(3), b.18.439(4), c=16.696(3) , β=93.42(3)°, V=4226(3)  3, Z=4, M r=894.73, D c =1.41 g/cm 3, μ =11.4 cm -1, F (000)=2322 and R=0.058, R w =0 062 for 2272 unique reflections with I>3σ(I). The two structures contain the same trimetal framework in which three iron(Ⅲ) atoms form a nearly.equilateral triangle with a μ 3 oxy.en atom in the centre.

The separation of variab.es is employ.d to solve Hamiltonian dual form of eigenvalue prob.em for transverse free vib.ations of thin plates, and formulation of the natural mode in closed form is performed. The closed-form natural mode satisfies the governing equation of the eigenvalue prob.em of thin plate exactly.and is applicab.e for any.ty.es of b.undary.conditions. With all comb.nations of simply.upported （S） and clamped （C） b.undary.conditions applied to the natural mode, the mode shapes are ob.ained uniquely.and two eigenvalue equations are derived with respect to two spatial coordinates, with the aid of which the normal modes and frequencies are solved exactly. It was b.lieved that the exact eigensolutions for cases SSCC, SCCC and CCCC were unab.e to b. ob.ained, however, they.are successfully.found in this paper. Comparisons b.tween the present results and the FEM results validate the present exact solutions, which can thus b. taken as the b.nchmark for verify.ng different approximate approaches.

This paper introduces a modified formal variab.e separation approach, showcasing a sy.tematic and notab.y.straightforward methodology.for analy.ing the b.ty.e Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(b.P) equation. Through the application of this approach, we successfully.ascertain decomposition solutions, b.cklund transformations, the Lax pair, and the linear superposition solution associated with the aforementioned equation. Furthermore, we expand the utilization of this technique to the C-ty.e Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(CKP) equation, leading to the derivation of decomposition solutions, b.cklund transformations, and the Lax pair specific to this *** results ob.ained not only.underscore the efficacy.of the proposed approach, b.t also highlight its potential in offering a profound comprehension of integrab.e b.haviors in nonlinear sy.tems. Moreover, this approach demonstrates an efficient framework for estab.ishing interrelations b.tween diverse sy.tems.

The interaction of hemin with chloroquine, quinine and quini-dine wasinvestigated in 50% water-propy.ene gly.ol mixture at pH = 9, 8.1, 7.4 and 6.8 using aspectrophotometric method. The data could b. well fitted into a model consistent with the formationof a 1:1 complex b.tween the reacting partners. In addition, the results indicated that hemincomplexed more strongly.with quinidine than with chloroquine and quinine, and the b.nding constantswere pH-dependent. Moreover, it was proved that the water-propy.ene gly.ol mixture is well suitab.eto the study.of the sy.tems containing hemin and quinoline-b.sed drugs.
