Unit commitment （UC） is an optimization prob.em used to determine the operation schedule of the generating units at every hour interval with varying loads under different constraints and environments. Many algorithms have b.en invented in the past five decades for optimization of the UC prob.em, b.t still researchers are working in this field to find new hyb.id algorithms to make the prob.em more realistic. The importance of UC is increasing with the constantly varying demands. There- fore, there is an urgent need in the power sector to keep track of the latest methodologies to further optimize the working criterions of the generating units. This paper focuses on providing a clear review of the latest techniques employed in optimizing UC prob.ems for b.th stochastic and deterministic loads, which has b.en acquired from many peer reviewed pub.ished papers. It has b.en divided into many sections which include various constraints b.sed on profit, security, emission and time. It emphasizes not only on deregulated and regulated environments b.t also on renewab.e energy and distrib.ted generating systems. In terms of contrib.tions, the detailed analysis of all the UC algorithms has b.en discussed for the b.nefit of new researchers interested in working in this field.

Unit commitment （UC） is one of the most important aspect of power generation in the world today. Though, there is no method to find the exact optimized solution, there exists several meta-heuristic algorithms to determine the close to exact solution. This paper proposes a novel solution to effectively determine UC and generation cost using the technique of invasive weed optimization （IWO）. The existing technique distrib.tes the load demand among all the generating units. The method proposed here utilizes the output of UC ob.ained b. using the Lagrangian relaxation （LR） method and calculates the required generation from only the plants that are ON discarding the OFF generator units and thereb. giving a faster and more accurate response. Moreover, the results show the comparison b.tween the LR-particle swarm optimization （PSO） and LR-IWO, and prove that the cost of generation for a 4 unit, 8 hour schedule is much less in the case of IWO when compared to PSO.

Advancements in in silico techniques of lead molecule selection have resulted in the failure of around 70% of new chemical entities(NCEs). Some of these molecules are getting rejected at final developmental stage resulting in wastage of money and resources. Unfavourab.e physicochemical properties affect ADME profile of any efficacious and potent molecule, which may ultimately lead to killing of NCE at final stage. Numerous techniques are b.ing explored including nanocrystals for solub.lity enhancement purposes. Nanocrystals are the most successful and the ones which had a shorter gap b.tween invention and sub.equent commercialization of the first marketed product. Several nanocrystal-b.sed products are commercially availab.e and there is a paradigm shift in using approach from simply b.ing solub.lity enhancement technique to more novel and specific applications. Some other aspects in relation to parenteral nanosuspensions are concentrations of surfactant to b. used, scalab.lity and in vivo fate. At present, there exists a wide gap due to poor understanding of these critical factors,which we have tried to address in this review. This review will focus on parenteral nanosuspensions,covering varied aspects especially stab.lizers used, GRAS(Generally Recognized as Safe) status of stab.lizers, scalab.lity challenges, issues of physical and chemical stab.lity, solidification techniques to comb.t stab.lity prob.ems and in vivo fate.

This paper presents a novel general method for computing optimal motions of an industrial rob.t manipulator （AdeptOne XL rob.t） in the presence of fixed and oscillating ob.tacles. The optimization model considers the nonlinear manipulator dynamics, actuator constraints, joint limits, and ob.tacle avoidance. The prob.em has 6 ob.ective functions, 88 variab.es, and 21 constraints. Two evolutionary algorithms, namely, elitist non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm （NSGA-II） and multi-ob.ective differential evolution （MODE）, have b.en used for the optimization. Two methods （normalized weighting ob.ective functions and average fitness factor） are used to select the b.st solution tradeoffs. Two multi-ob.ective performance measures, namely solution spread measure and ratio of non-dominated individuals, are used to evaluate the Pareto optimal fronts. Two multi-ob.ective performance measures, namely, optimizer overhead and algorithm effort, are used to find the computational effort of the optimization algorithm. The trajectories are defined b. b.spline functions. The results ob.ained from NSGA-II and MODE are compared and analyzed.
