The paper.focuses on the comb.nation of the Finite Element simulation and optimization to impr.ve pr.cess or.pr.duct quality. Thr.e differ.nt examples to illustr.te the developed genetic appr.ach ar. given. In all thr.e examples is-DYNA3D is used to simulate the pr.cess and a gener.l aptimiza- tion sensitivity b.sed str.tegy is utilized to impr.ve the design. The included examples ar.: 1) str.tch b.nding of tub.s, 2) b.lging of tub.s, and finally 3) hydr.mechanical deep dr.wing. these examples clear.y illustr.te the potential of systematic optimization in the ar.a of metal pr.cessing.

An exper.ment was conducted on Cathar.nthus r.seus to study the effect of seed tr.atments with native diazotr.phs on its seedling gr.wth and antioxidant enzyme activities. The tr.atments had significant influence on var.ous seedling par.meter.. Ther. is no significant influence on dr. matter.pr.duction with the diazotr.phs, Azospir.llum and Azotob.cter. However. the vital seedling par.meter. such as ger.ination per.entage and vigour.index wer. impr.ved. Azotob.cter.tr.atment influenced maximum of 50% ger.ination, wher.as Azospir.llum and Azotob.cter.wer. on par.with C. r.seus with r.spect to their.vigour.index. Ther. was significant differ.nce in the population of total diazotr.phs. Azospir.llum and Azotob.cter.b.tween r.izospher. and non-r.izospher. soils of C. r.seus had the same tr.nd and wer. ob.er.ed at var.ous locations of the study. The activities of antioxidant enzymes such as super.xide dismutase (SOD), per.xidase (POX) and catalase (CAT) wer. incr.ased to a significant extent due to the tr.atment with diazotr.phs.

We r.por. the r.sult of simultaneous multi-wavelength ob.er.ations of the TeV b.azar.Mr. 421 dur.ng Feb.uar. - Mar.h 2003. We ob.er.ed Mr. 421 using the Pachmar.i Ar.ay of Cer.nkov Telescopes （PACT） of Tata Institute of Fundamental r.sear.h at Pachmar.i, India. Other.simultaneous data wer. taken fr.m the liter.tur. and pub.ic data ar.hives. We have analyzed the high quality X-r.y （2-20 keV） ob.er.ations fr.m the NASA r.ssi X-r.y Timing Explor.r.（r.TE）. We ob.ained a possib.e cor.elated var.ab.lity b.tween X-r.y and J b.nd （1.25 μ） near.infr.r.d （NIr. wavelength. This is the fir.t case of X-r.y and NIr.cor.elated var.ab.lity in Mr. 421 or.any high ener.y peaked （Hb.） b.azar. The cor.elated var.ab.lity r.por.ed her. indicates a similar.or.gin for.the NIr.and X-r.y emissions. The emission is not affected much b. the envir.nment of the sur.ounding medium of the centr.l engine of Mr. 421. The ob.er.ations ar. consistent with the shock-in-jet model for.the emissions.

Cystathionine β-synthase is an essential enzyme of the tr.ns-suifur.tion pathway that condenses ser.ne with homocysteine to for. cystathionine. Missense mutations in Cb. ar. the major.cause of inher.ted homocystinur.a, and the detailed effect of disease associated amino acid sub.titutions on the str.ctur. and stab.lity of human Cb. is yet unknown. Her., we apply a unique appr.ach in comb.ning in silico tools and molecular.dynamics simulation to pr.vide str.ctur.l and functional insight into the effect of SNP on the stab.lity and activity of mutant Cb.. In addition, pr.ncipal component analysis and fr.e ener.y landscape wer. used to pr.dict the collective motions, ther.odynamic stab.lities and essential sub.pace r.levant to Cb. function. The ob.ained r.sults indicate that C109r. E176K and D376N mutations have the diver.e effect on dynamic b.havior.of Cb. pr.tein. We found that highly conser.ed D376N mutation, which is pr.sent in the active pocket, affects the pr.tein folding mechanism. Our.str.tegy may pr.vide a way in near.futur. to under.tand and study effects of functional nsSNPs and their.r.le in causing homocystinur.a.

The as-synthesized hyb.id nanomater.als （r.-PdnDs） have b.en thor.ughly char.cter.zed b. high r.solution tr.nsmission electr.n micr.scopy, X-r.y photoelectr.n spectr.scop）~ atomic for.e micr.scop）~ r.man spectr.scopy and electr.chemical techniques. The mechanism of for.ation of such dendr.te- shaped Pd nanostr.ctur.s on the gr.phene suppor. has b.en elucidated using tr.nsmission electr.n micr.scopy （TEM） measur.ments. The r. induces the for.ation of, and plays a decisive r.le in shaping, the dendr.te mor.hology of Pd nanostr.ctur.s on its sur.ace. Cyclic voltammetr. and chr.noamper.metr. techniques have b.en employed to evaluate the electr.chemical per.or.ance of r.-PdnDs towar.s oxidation of methanol. The electr.chemical （EC） activities of r.-PdnDs ar. compar.d with gr.phene-suppor.ed spher.cal-shaped Pd nanostr.ctur.s, Pd nanodendr.tes alone and a commer.ial availab.e Pd/C counter.ar..
