Separator modification is an effective approach to suppress dendrite growth to realize high-energy sodium metal b.tteries（SMb.） in practical applications,however,its success is mainly sub.ect to surface ***,a separator with multifunctional layers composed of N-doped mesoporous hollow carb.n spheres（HCS） as the inner layer and sodium fluoride（NaF） as the outer layer on commercial polypropylene separator（PP） is proposed（PP@HCS-NaF） to achieve stab.e cycling in *** the molecular level,the inner HCS layer with a high content of pyrrolic-N induces the uniform Na+flux as a potential Na+redistrib.tor for homogenous deposition,whereas its hollow mesoporous structure offers nanoporous b.ffers and ion channels to regulate Na+ion distrib.tion and uniform *** outer layer（NaF） constructs the NaF-enriched rob.st solid electrolyte interphase layer,significantly lowering the Na+ions diffusion *** from these merits,higher electrochemical performances are achieved with multifunctional doub.e-layered PP@HCS-NaF separators compared with single-layered separators（***@HCS or PP@NaF） in *** Na‖Cu half-cell with PP@HCS-NaF offers stab.e cycling（280 cycles）with a high CE（99.6%）,and Na‖Na symmetric cells demonstrate extended lifespans for over 6000 h at 1 mA cm-2with a progressively stab.e overpotential of 9 ***,in Na‖NVP full-cells,the PP@HCS-NaF separator grants a stab.e capacity of ～81 mA h g-1after 3500 cycles at 1 C and an impressive rate capab.lity performance(～70 mA h g-1at 15 C).

A new testing procedure to estimate the low-temperature stiffness of the reclaimed asphalt pavement （RAP） b.nder was developed. In the testing procedure, the SuperpaveTM b.nding b.am Rheometer （b.R） with special modifications and b.nder b.ending charts b. Asphalt Institute were utilized. Modifications involved the development of a new kind of sample mold and different testing parameters were made to b.R testing procedure to capture the theological properties of b.tumen mortars produced b. mixing fresh b.nder with fine RAP materials or RAP aggregate. The stiffness relationship b.tween b.nder and b.tumen mortar was estab.ished b.sed on the b.R test results. The b.ended b.nder stiffness in b.tumen RAP mortar was estimated from the RAP mortar stiffness b.sed on the b.nder-mortar relationship. And finally, the RAP b.nder stiffness was estimated from the b.ended b.nder and fresh b.nder stiffness b.sed on the b.ending charts b. Asphalt Institute. The results indicate that the new procedure can capture the rheological properties of b.tumen mortar and can b. used to estimate the low temperature stiffness of RAP b.nder without b.nder extraction and/or any chemical treatments.

In recent years,voltage stab.lity issues have b.come a serious concern with regard to the safety of electrical systems,these issues are more evident and have wider consequences in vertical networks with an insufficient reactive power *** is currently suffering from the worst energy crisis in its *** to an increase in energy demand,the current transmission system is b.coming increasingly *** has thus b.come necessary to reduce losses and enhance the system voltage profile for more efficient energy *** this study,the main emphasis is on assessing the feasib.lity of using flexib.e AC transmission system devices and distrib.ted generation to compensate power failures on the power lines of the Pakistani power transmission *** load flow and contingency analyses are performed on a 132 kV transmission system that feeds power to the Quetta electric supply *** region of b.luchistan is studied to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed *** system is simulated using NEPLAN,which accurately models the details of all system elements and the optimal power *** simulation results indicate that the proposed method helps reduce system losses,voltage deviation,and power flow congestion,with all system constraints within permissib.e limits.

This study performs single point incremental forming(SPIF)on two aluminum alloys(***5754 and AA6061),and analyzes their post forming mechanical properties and microstructure *** forming parameters namely wall angle(35°-55°),feed rate(1-4 m/min),spindle rotational speed(50-1000 r/min),and lub.icant(grease and hydraulic oil)are varied to prob. detailed processing *** pre-and post-SPIF mechanical properties and microstructures are characterized b. conducting tensile tests and optical microscopy,*** is shown that an increase in the wall angle,feed rate and rotational speed causes microscopic variations in the alloys such that the grains of AA5754 and the second phase particles of AA6061 *** a result,the ultimate tensile strength of the formed parts is increased b. 10%for AA5754 and b. 8%for ***,the ductility of AA5754 is decreased from 22.9%to 12%and that of AA6061 is decreased from 16%to 10.7%.Regarding the lub.icant effect,it is shown that the mechanical properties remain insensitive to the type of lub.icant *** results indicate that SPIF processing modifies the microstructure of Al alloys in a way to enhance the strength at the cost of ductility.

Single point incremental forming(SPIF)is an innovative sheet forming process with a high economic *** formab.lity in this process can b. maximized b. executing forming with a tool of specific small radius,regarded as threshold critical *** value has b.en reported as 2.2 mm for 1 mm thick sheet ***,with a change in the forming conditions specifically in the sheet thickness and step size,the critical radius is likely to alter due to a change in the b.nding *** main aim of the present study is to undertake this point into account and develop a relatively generic *** study is composed of experimental and numerical *** maximum wall angle(θmax)without sheet fracturing is regarded as sheet formab.lity.A numb.r of sheet materials are formed to fracture and the trends correlating formab.lity with normalized radius(i.e.,R/To where R is the tool-radius and To is the sheet thickness)are *** trends confirm that there is a critical tool-radius(Rc)that maximizes the formab.lity in ***,it is found that the critical radius is not fixed rather it shows dependence on the sheet thickness such that Rc=βTo,whereβvaries from 2.2 to 3.3 as the thickness increases from 1 mm to 3 *** critical radius,however,remains insensitive to variation in step size ranging from 0.3 mm to 0.7 *** is also ob.erved that the selection of tool with Rb.lity window not only on the higher side b.t also on the lower *** higher limit,as revealed b. the experimental and FEA results,diminishes due to excessive shearing b.cause of in-plane b.axial compression,and the lower limit reduces due to pillowing in the b.ttom of *** new tool-radius condition proposed herein study would b. helpful in maximizing the formab.lity of materials in SPIF without performing experimental trials.

The motion of mono-disperse spherical steel particles in a vib.ation driven quasi-two-dimensional （2D） square cell is studied. The cell is horizontally vib.ated to eliminate the effect of gravity compaction. The velocity distrib.tions at different particle numb.r densities are studied and found to ob.y the form exp[-β（｜Vy｜/σy）α], in which Vy and （σy are velocity and its variance in the transverse direction, and α and β are fitting parameters. The value of α is found to decrease with the numb.r density of particles increasing. To investigate the effect of the b.ttom plate, the molecular dynamics simulation without considering any b.ttom friction is performed. The accordance b.tween the simulation result and the experimental result shows that the influence of b.ttom plate friction force on the high energy tail of the velocity distrib.tion can b. neglected.
