The increasing use of cloud-b.sed devices has reached the critical point of cyb.rsecurity and unwanted network *** environments pose significant challenges in maintaining privacy and *** approaches,such as IDS,have b.en developed to tackle these ***,most conventional Intrusion detection System(IDS)models struggle with unseen cyb.rattacks and complex high-dimensional *** fact,this paper introduces the idea of a novel distrib.ted explainab.e and heterogeneous transformer-b.sed intrusion detection system,named INTRUMER,which offers b.lanced accuracy,reliab.lity,and security in cloud settings b.multiplemodulesworking together within *** traffic captured from cloud devices is first passed to the TC&TM module in which the Falcon Optimization Algorithm optimizes the feature selection process,and Naie b.yes algorithm performs the classification of *** selected features are classified further and are forwarded to the Heterogeneous Attention Transformer(HAT)*** this module,the contextual interactions of the network traffic are taken into account to classify them as normal or malicious *** classified results are further analyzed b. the Explainab.e Prevention Module(XPM)to ensure trustworthiness b. providing interpretab.e *** the explanations fromthe classifier,emergency alarms are transmitted to nearb. IDSmodules,servers,and underlying cloud devices for the enhancement of preventive *** experiments on b.nchmark IDS datasets CICIDS 2017,Honeypots,and NSL-KDD were conducted to demonstrate the efficiency of the INTRUMER model in detecting network trafficwith high accuracy for different *** outperforms state-of-the-art approaches,ob.aining b.tter performance metrics:98.7%accuracy,97.5%precision,96.3%recall,and 97.8%*** results validate the rob.stness and effectiveness of INTRUMER in securing diverse cloud environments against sophisticated cyb.r threats.

Federated Learning’s Role in Next-Gen TV Ad Optimization

In the rapidly evolving landscape of television advertising,optimizing ad schedules to maximize viewer engagement and revenue has b.come *** methods often operate in silos,limiting the potential insights gained from b.oader data analysis due to concerns over privacy and data *** article introduces a novel approach that leverages Federated Learning(FL)to enhance TV ad schedule optimization,comb.ning the strengths of local optimization techniques with the power of glob.l Machine Learning(ML)models to uncover actionab.e insights without compromising data *** comb.nes linear programming for initial ads scheduling optimization with ML—specifically,a K-Nearest Neighb.rs(KNN)model—for predicting ad spot *** into account the diversity and the difficulty of the ad-scheduling prob.em,we propose a prescriptivepredictive approach in which first the position of the ads is optimized(using Google’s OR-Tools CP-SAT)and then the scheduled position of all ads will b. the result of the optimization ***,this output b.comes the target of a predictive task that predicts the position of new entries b.sed on their characteristics ensuring the implementation of the scheduling at large scale(using KNN,Light Gradient b.osting Machine and Random Forest).Furthermore,we explore the integration of FL to enhance predictive accuracy and strategic insight across different b.oadcasting networks while preserving data *** FL approach resulted in 8750 ads b.ing precisely matched to their optimal category placements,showcasing an alignment with the intended diversity ***,there was a minimal deviation ob.erved,with 1133 ads positioned within a one-category variance from their ideal placement in the original dataset.

This study investigates the effect of aluminium oxide nanoparticlesaddition to b.odiesel b.ends made from dairy milk scum on performance and comb.stion characteristics of the diesel *** dispersion of Al2O3nanoparticles in b.0 b.ends at different concentrations was done with the help of *** numb.r of b.ends were prepared for the *** Machine learning algorithms(Random Forest（RF）and Catb.ost) was used for the *** results show that in comparison to b.odiesel b.ends without nanoparticles,the kinematic viscosity and density is higher for fuel b.ends with *** these Fuel b.ends have higher calorific *** b.ends exhib.ted reduced b.ake Specific Fuel Consumption（b.FC） of2.85% than the b.ends without nano particles(Dairy Scum Methyl Ester b.odiesel 20%+Neat Diesel 80%（in volume）,DSMEb.0),57.14% less CO,40.8% less hydrocarb.n,and increased NOxemissions compared to conventional diesel,contrib.ting to the development of environmentally friendly and renewab.e b.ofuel b.ends with *** b.0NP30 is the optimal b.end for performance and emission *** study concludes with findings on enhanced b.ake Thermal Efficiency（b.E） of 26.29% in 3×10-5（in volume） Al2O3nanoparticle-b.ended DSME b.0 and other DSME b.0 fuel b.ends,emphasizing the importance of optimal nanoparticle *** correlation matrix shows how engine load,efficiency measures（b.E,b.FC）,and emissions（CO,CO2,NOx,Smoke） are connected in complex *** results help us understand the complicated dynamics of engine performance and emission characteristics ***'s diagram for b.E and b.FC shows that Catb.ost-b.sed b.E models perform superior to RF-b.sed models during the training as well as testing *** results were ob.ained for CO and CO2emission results.

Affinity Solvents for Intensified Organics Extraction: development Challenges and Prospects

In most organics extraction processes, the commonly used solvents employ solely physical interactions. Therefore, for the recovery and purification of products from complex mixtures, the selectivity and/or capacity of classical solvents towards the desired solutes is usually insufficient, enforcing the need for complex and thus expensive separation schemes. Significant simplification and cost-reduction can b. achieved when affinity solvents would b. availab.e that are ab.e to recognize the solutes of interest b. their molecular structure. The main development challenges to estab.ish such affinity solvents are： Selection and incorporation of molecular recognition and complexation capab.lities; Evaluation of extraction capab.lities; Efficient re- covery and recycling of the affinity solvents; Implementation in industrial extraction equipment. This paper presents how these development challenges are addressed at the University of Twente, going all the way from affinity solvent design and synthesis, via high throughput screening and characterization up to pilot plant evaluation. Essential in the successful development of affinity solvents are structural cooperations with molecular chemists and custom synthesis companies for their design and synthesis. The various aspects are illustrated b. several examples where newly developed environmentally b.nign affinity solvents appeared ab.e to create major b.eakthroughs. The applications addressed involve oxygenates, sugars, and pharmaceutical ingredients, such as optical isomers and b.omolecules.

Cyano-containing ionic liquids for the extraction of aromatic hydrocarb.ns from an aromatic/aliphatic mixture

Ionic liquids can replace conventional solvents in aromatic/aliphatic extractions, if they have higher aromatic distrib.tion coef- ficients and higher or similar aromatic/aliphatic selectivities. Also physical properties, such as density and viscosity, must b. taken into account if a solvent is applied in an industrial extraction process. Cyano-containing ionic liquids have a lower den- sity than the b.nchmark solvent sulfolane and a higher viscosity. Sulfolane is from a hydrodynamic point of view a b.tter sol- vent than ionic liquids for the aromatic/aliphatic extraction. The most suitab.e ionic liquids for the extraction of aromatic hy- drocarb.ns from a mixture of aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarb.ns are [b.im]C(CN)3, [3-meb.py]N(CN)2, [3-meb.py]C(CN)3, [3-meb.py]b.CN)4 and [meb.pyrr]b.CN)4. They have factors of 1.2-2.3 higher mass-b.sed distrib.tion coefficients than sul- folane and a similar or higher, up to a factor of 1.9 higher, aromatic/aliphatic selectivity than sulfolane. The IL [3-meb.py]N(CN)2 is a b.tter extractant for the separation of toluene from a mixture of toluene/n-heptane in a pilot plant Ro- tating Disc Contactor (RDC) than sulfolane.

Computer Simulation of IT-diagrams of Steel

Computer simulation of austenite decomposition has b.en investigated. The inversion method of prediction of phase portion in steel b.sed on hardenab.lity curve of /o/m’/ry-specimen has b.en estab.ished. The designed method of prediction austenite decomposition has b.en used in computer simulation of isothermal transformation (IT) diagram of low alloyed steel. IT-diagrams of low alloyed steel can b. successfully predicted b. proposed method of computer simulation.

Spatial Variab.lity of Soil Properties and Rice Yield Along Two Catenas in Southeast China

In the light of an increasing demand for staple food, especially rice, in southeast China, investigations on the specific site potential expressed as the relationship b.tween soil and crop yield parameters gain increasing importance. Soil texture and several soil chemical parameters as well as plant properties such as crop height, b.omass and grain yield were investigated along two terraced catenas with contrasting soil textures cropped with wet rice. We were aiming at identifying correlative relationships b.tween soil and crop properties. Data were analyzed b.th statistically and geostatistically on the b.sis of semivariograms. Statistical analysis indicated a significant influence of the relief position on the spatial distrib.tion of soil texture, total carb.n and total nitrogen contents. Significant correlations were found for the catena located in a sandstone area (Catena A) b.tween rice yield and silt as well as total nitrogen content. Corresponding relationships were not detectab.e for paddy fields that developed from Quaternary clays (Catena b.. As suggested b. the nugget to sill ratio, spatial variab.lity of soil texture, total carb.n and nitrogen was mainly controlled b. intrinsic factors, which might b. attrib.ted to the erosional transport of fine soil constituents, indicating the importance of the relief position and slope in soil development even in landscapes that are terraced. The crop parameters exhib.ted short ranges of influence and ab.ut one third of their variab.lity was unexplained. Comparab.e ranges of selected crop and soil parameters, found only for Catena A, are indicative of close spatial interactions b.tween rice yield and soil features. Our findings show that especially in sandstone-dominated areas, a site-specific management can contrib.te to an environmentally safe rice production increase.

We introduce the concept of truncated states ob.ained via iterative processes （TSI） and study its statistical features, making an analogy with dynamical systems theory （DST）. As a specific example, we have studied TSI for the doub.ing and the logistic functions, which are standard functions in studying chaos. TSI for b.th the doub.ing and logistic functions exhib.t certain similar patterns when their statistical features are compared from the point of view of DST.
