Assessment of the Drafting Quality of Request Forms Sub.itted to the Malaria and Parasitology Units at the Institut Pasteur de Cote d’Ivoire

b.ological tests provide information on the medical analysis requested b. b.th the patient and the prescrib.r. It is a communication link b.tween the prescrib.r and the lab.ratory staff. The lack of some information on request forms not only affects the drafting quality of the test and patient care, b.t could also make thousands of data produced b. healthcare centers unusab.e. The aim of this study was to assess the drafting quality of request forms sub.itted to the Malaria and Parasitology Units at the Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire. Methods: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study to assess the drafting quality of request forms of various prescrib.rs received at the Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire. This study was conducted at the Malaria and Parasitology Units, department of Parasitology and Mycology (Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire), from 6th Decemb.r 2020 to 6th Decemb.r 2021. The information on each request forms was recorded on a data collection form designed for this purpose. Each data collection form corresponds to a request forms and each test to a patient. Results: Out of a total of 1990 request forms received, the patient’s age and sex were missing on 18% and 26.8% of the tests respectively. More than half (51.80%) of request forms did not indicate the patient’s place of residence. Clinical information was not provided on 45.90% of the tests. Prescrib.rs omitting their signatures were 51%, stamps were 50.3% and contacts were 71.2%. Only 5.4% of request forms were of good drafting quality. Providing all the required information on the forms could facilitate the use and analysis of data and samples.

The Ag-50wt%Cu hypereutectic alloy was solidified and investigated in a 3 m drop tub., and its nucleation and microstructure characteristics were explored also. The results showed that (1) with the decrease of droplet size, the structural morphology transforms from the dendrites with long trunk and thin short secondary arms to fine dendritic structures; (2) the dendritic growth is mainly controlled b. solute diffusion within the whole undercooling regime, while the influence of thermal diffusion-controlled growth b.comes stronger ab.ve a critical undercooling ab.ut 268 K; (3) the refinement of dendritic structure is caused b. large amounts of nuclei within droplet; (4) when droplet diameter is smaller than 300 micron, the undercooling and growth velocity were estimated to b. greater than 268 K and 290 mm/s respectively, while the solute trapping effect may occur.

chloride b.nding and time-dependent surface chloride content models for fly ash concrete

Corrosion of emb.dded reb.rs is a classical deterioration mech.nism of reinforced concrete structures exposed to chloride environments. Such environments can b. attrib.ted to the presence of seawater, deicing or sea-salts, which have high concentrations of chloride ion. chloride ingress into concrete, essential for inducing reb.r corrosion, is a complex interaction b.tween many physical and chemical processes. The current study proposes two chloride ingress parameter models for fly ash concrete, namely： 1） surface chloride content under tidal exposure condition; and 2） chloride b.nding. First, inconsistencies in surface chloride content and chloride b.nding models reported in literature, due to them not b.ing in line with past research studies, are pointed out. Secondly, to avoid such inconsistencies, surface chloride content and chloride b.nding models for fly ash concrete are proposed b.sed upon the experimental work done b. other researchers. It is ob.erved that, proposed models are simple, consistent and in line with past research studies reported in literature.

near-Surface Soil chemical Properties as Affected b. Cover Crops Over Time in the Lower Mississippi River Valley

Typical row-crop agricultural practices can potentially b. harmful to soil health and future sustainab.lity. The use of cover crops (CC) as a mech.nism to improve soil health on a wide scale remains underutilized. Soil health remains a major concern for the sustainab.lity of agricultural productivity, therefore, research into CC implementation as a mean to preserve or improve soil health is warranted. The ob.ective of this study was to evaluate the effects of CC on the soils in the eastern Arkansas portion of the Lower Mississippi River Valley (LMRV) over time for various chemical soil parameters, including pH, soil organic matter (SOM), soil elemental contents (i.e., P, K, Ca, Mg, S, na, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and b., soil respiration, and a generalized soil health score index. Soil pH decreased over time under b.th CC and no-cover-crop (nCC) treatments, b. −0.3 and −0.2, respectively. Soil OM decreased over time under nCC b. −0.1%, b.t did not differ b.tween CC treatments. Soil n availab.lity decreased over time under nCC (−22.6 kg·ha−1), b.t did not ch.nge over time under CC. Soil respiration decreased over time under b.th CC and nCC, b. −76.1 mg·L−1 and −77.3 mg·L−1, respectively, though there was no effect of CC treatment. The Haney soil health score index decreased under CC (−7.0) and nCC (−6.8) without an effect from CC treatment. Results of the study place emphasis on the temporal nature of soil health as influenced b. cover crops and their potential to improve soil health.

Wettab.lity,reactivity,and interface structure in Mg/ni system

The sessile drop method was applied to the experimental investigation of the wetting and spreading b.haviors of liquid Mg drops on pure ni *** comparison,the experiments were performed in two variants:(1)using the Capillary Purification(CP)procedure,which allows the non-contact heating and squeezing of a pure oxide-free Mg drop;(2)b. classical Contact Heating(ch)*** high-temperature tests were performed under isothermal conditions(CP:760℃for 30 s;ch:715℃for 300 s)using Ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the sessile drop tests,images of the Mg/ni couples were recorded b. CCD cameras(57 fps),which were then applied to calculate the contact angles of metal/sub.trate *** and transmission electron microscopy analyses,b.th coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,were used for detailed structural characterization of the solidified *** was found that an oxide-free Mg drop ob.ained b. the CP procedure showed a wetting phenomenon on the ni sub.trate(an average contact angleθnb. fast spreading and good wetting over the ni sub.trate(θ_((CP))~20°in 5 s)to form a final contact angle ofθ_(f(CP))~18°.In contrast,a different wetting b.havior was ob.erved for the ch procedure,where the unavoidab.e primary oxide film on the Mg surface b.ocked the spreading of liquid Mg showing apparently non-wetting b.havior after 300 s contact at the test ***,in b.th cases,the deep craters formed in the ni sub.trates under the Mg drops and significant ch.nge in the structure of initially pure Mg drops to Mg-ni alloys suggest a strong dissolution of ni in liquid Mg and apparent values of the final contact angles measured for the Mg/ni system.

Heat transfer and entropy generation analysis of non-newtonian fluid flow through vertical microch.nnel with convective b.undary condition

The entropy generation and heat transfer characteristics of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) third-grade fluid flow through a vertical porous microch.nnel with a convective b.undary condition are analyzed. Entropy generation due to flow of MHD non-newtonian third-grade fluid within a microch.nnel and temperature-dependent viscosity is studied using the entropy generation rate and Vogel's model. The equations describ.ng flow and heat transport along with b.undary conditions are first made dimensionless using proper non-dimensional transformations and then solved numerically via the finite element method (FEM). An appropriate comparison is made with the previously pub.ished results in the literature as a limiting case of the considered prob.em. The comparison confirms excellent agreement. The effects of the Grashof numb.r, the Hartmann numb.r, the b.ot numb.r, the exponential space-and thermal-dependent heat source (ESHS/THS) parameters, and the viscous dissipation parameter on the temperature and velocity are studied and presented graphically. The entropy generation and the b.jan numb.r are also calculated. From the comprehensive parametric study, it is recognized that the production of entropy can b. improved with convective heating and viscous dissipation aspects. It is also found that the ESHS aspect dominates the THS aspect.

The visions of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 have reinforced the industrial *** have also made artificial intelligence incorporated as a major *** mach.ne faults has b.come a solid foundation for automatically recognizing mach.ne failure,and thus timely maintenance can ensure safe *** learning is a promising solution that can enhance the mach.ne fault diagnosis model b. b.rrowing pre-trained knowledge from the source model and applying it to the target model,which typically involves two *** response to the availab.lity of multiple datasets,this paper proposes using selective and adaptive incremental transfer learning(SA-ITL),which fuses three algorithms,namely,the hyb.id selective algorithm,the transferab.lity enhancement algorithm,and the incremental transfer learning *** is a selective algorithm that enab.es selecting and ordering appropriate datasets for transfer learning and selecting useful knowledge to avoid negative *** algorithm also adaptively adjusts the portion of training data to b.lance the learning rate and training *** proposed algorithm is evaluated and analyzed using ten b.nchmark *** with other algorithms from existing works,SA-ITL improves the accuracy of all *** studies present the accuracy enhancements of the SA-ITL,including the hyb.id selective algorithm(1.22%-3.82%),transferab.lity enhancement algorithm(1.91%-4.15%),and incremental transfer learning algorithm(0.605%-2.68%).These also show the b.nefits of enhancing the target model with heterogeneous image datasets that widen the range of domain selection b.tween source and target domains.
