A Composite Ansatz for Calculation of Dynamical Structure Factor

We propose an ansatz without adjustable parameters for the calculation of a dynamical structure *** ansatz combines the quasi-particle Green’s function,especially the contribution from the renormalization factor,and the exchange-correlation kernel from time-dependent density functional theory together,verified for typical metals and semiconductors from a plasmon excitation regime to the Compton scattering *** has the capability to reconcile both small-angle and large-angle inelastic x-ray scattering(IXS)signals with muchimproved accuracy,which can be used as the theoretical base model,in inversely inferring electronic structures of condensed matter from IXS experimental signals *** may also be used to diagnose thermal parameters,such as temperature and density,of dense plasmas in x-ray Thomson scattering experiments.

Sb_(2)Se_(3) with unique one-dimensional(1D) crystal structure exhibits exceptional deformation tolerance,demonstrating great application potential in flexible ***,the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) photovoltaic devices is temporarily limited by the complicated intrinsic defects and the undesirable contact ***,a high-quality Sb_(2)Se_(3) absorber layer with large crystal grains and benign [hkl] growth orientation can be first prepared on a Mo foil *** NaF intermediate layer is introduced between Mo and Sb_(2)Se_(3),which can further optimize the growth of Sb_(2)Se_(3)thin ***,positive Na ion diffusion enables it to dramatically lower barrier height at the back contact interface and passivate harmful defects at both bulk and *** a result,the champion substrate structured Mo-foil/Mo/NaF/Sb_(2)Se_(3)/CdS/ITO/Ag flexible thin-film solar cell delivers an obviously higher efficiency of 8.03% and a record open-circuit voltage(V_(OC)) of 0.492 *** flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) device also exhibits excellent stability and flexibility to stand large bending radius and multiple bending times,as well as superior weak light photo-response with derived efficiency of 12.60%.This work presents an effective strategy to enhance the flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) device performance and expand its potential photovoltaic applications.

Interference of harmonics emitted by different tunneling momentum channels in laser fields

by numerically solving the semiconductor bloch equation(SbEs),we theoretically study the high-harmonic generation of ZnO crystals driven by one-color and two-color intense laser *** results show the enhancement of harmonics and the cut-off remains the same in the two-color field,which can be explained by the recollision trajectories and electron excitation from *** on the quantum path analysis,we investigate contribution of different ranges of the crystal momentum k of ZnO to the harmonic yield,and find that in two-color laser fields,the intensity of the harmonic yield of different ranges from the crystal momentum makes a big difference and the harmonic intensity is depressed from all k channels,which is related to the interferences between harmonics from symmetric k channels.

A bifunctional-blocker-Aided Hybridization Chain Reaction Lighting-Up Self-calibrating Nanocluster Fluorescence for Reliable Nucleic Acid Detection

In this work,we proposed a ratiometric silver nanoclusters(AgNCs)fluorescent assay by designing a bifunctional-blockeraided hybridization chain reaction(HCR).Hairpin probe 1(HP1)containing two special DNA fragments(5′-CAC CGC T-3′and 5′-ATT TGC CTT TTG GGG ACG GATA-3′)at two terminals creates a red-emitting AgNC nucleation sequence(rNS,5′-CAC CGC TAT TTG CCT TTT GGG GAC GGATA-3′).We found that the presence of a toehold fragment(5′-TGCCC-3′)in HP1 could silence the *** the addition of a target nucleic acid,HCR of HP1 and hairpin probe 2(HP2)could be initiated,resulting in the formation of long chain of DNA duplexes with multibranched *** the toehold fragment in HP1participated in generating duplexes,a strong emission of rNS-templated AgNCs was observed at 670 *** significantly,a bifunctional blocker was introduced not only to reduce the background red-emitting fluorescence but also to play as an internal green-emitting AgNCs nucleation *** the one hand,the blocker could increase the signal-to-noise-ratio of the constructed biosensor,and on the other hand,the blocker also helped to prepare ratiometric HCR-AgNCs assay with self-calibrating ability to strengthen its *** with the traditional HCR-AgNCs sensors,the developed ratiometric assay based on the bifunctional-blocker-aided HCR has higher reliability,which is important for the fabrication of biosensors in various fields for practical biosensing applications.

Ginkgo biloba extract alleviates fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome in laying hens via reshaping gut microbiota

background Ginkgo biloba extract(GbE)is evidenced to be effective in the prevention and alleviation of metabolic disorders,including obesity,diabetes and fatty liver ***,the role of GbE in alleviating fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome(FLHS)in laying hens and the underlying mechanisms remain to be ***,we investigated the effects of GbE on relieving FLHS with an emphasis on the modulatory role of GbE in chicken gut *** The results showed that GbE treatment ameliorated biochemical blood indicators in high-fat diet(HFD)-induced FLHS laying hen model by decreasing the levels of TG,TC,ALT and *** lipid accumulation and pathological score of liver were also relieved after GbE ***,GbE treatment enhanced the antioxidant activity of liver and serum by increasing GSH,SOD,T-AOC,GSH-PX and reducing MDA,and downregulated the expression of genes related to lipid synthesis(FAS,LXRα,GPAT1,PPARγand Ch REbP1)and inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-6,TLR4 and NF-κb)in the *** profiling analysis revealed that GbE treatment reshaped the HFD-perturbed gut microbiota,particularly elevated the abundance of Megasphaera in the ***,targeted metabolomic analysis of SCFAs revealed that GbE treatment significantly promoted the production of total SCFAs,acetate and propionate,which were positively correlated with the GbE-enriched gut ***,we confirmed that the GbE-altered gut microbiota was sufficient to alleviate FLHS by fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT).Conclusions We provided evidence that GbE alleviated FLHS in HFD-induced laying hens through reshaping the composition of gut *** findings shed light on mechanism underlying the anti-FLHS efficacy of GbE and lay foundations for future use of GbE as additive to prevent and control FLHS in laying hen industry.

The existence of saturated vapors in the deep source region of 2017Pohang earthquake evidenced from seismic tomography

Geothermal resources are a promising approach to clean renewable energy; 90% of them are deep reservoirs of hot dry rock that require hydraulic fracturing to create a network of connections among wells to enable efficient heat exchange, known as an Enhanced Geothermal System（EGS）. The Pohang EGS project in south Korea led to a devasting Mw5.5 earthquake, triggered by the reservoir's EGS stimulation, the largest earthquake known to have been induced by EGS development. Detailed investigations have been conducted to understand the cause of the Pohang earthquake; the conclusion has been that overpressurized injected fluids migrated into an unknown fault triggering this large earthquake. Detailed velocity images for the source zone of the 2017 Pohang earthquake,which could be helpful for further understanding its inducing mechanism, are unavailable. However, we have assembled detailed aftershock data recorded by 41 local stations installed within about three months after the Mw5.5 Pohang earthquake, and have then applied the Vp/Vsmodel's consistency-constrained double-difference seismic tomography method to determine the high-resolution three-dimensional Vp（compressional wave velocity）, Vs（shear wave velocity）, and Vp/Vsmodels of the source region that we report here,as well as earthquake locations within the source region. The velocity images reveal that the deep source area of the 2017 Pohang earthquake is dominated by low Vp, high Vs, and low Vp/Vsanomalies, a pattern that can be caused by overpressurized vapors due to high temperatures at these depths. based on aftershock locations and velocity features, our studies support the conclusion that the 2017Pohang earthquake was triggered by injected EGS fluids that migrated into a blind fault.

The Chinese herb Ephedra(also known as Mahuang)has been extensively utilized for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus-induced diseases,including coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,the specific anti-SARS-CoV-2 compounds and mechanisms have not been fully *** main protease(M^(pro))of SARS-CoV-2 is a highly conserved enzyme responsible for proteolytic processing during the viral life cycle,making it a critical target for the development of antiviral *** study aimed to identify naturally occurring covalent inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 M^(pro)from Ephedra and to investigate their covalent binding *** results demonstrated that the non-alkaloid fraction of Ephedra(ENA)exhibited a potent inhibitory effect against the SARS-CoV-2 M^(pro)effect,whereas the alkaloid fraction did ***,the chemical constituents in ENA were identified,and the major constituents'anti-SARS-CoV-2 M^(pro)effects were *** the tested constituents,herbacetin(HE)and gallic acid(GA)were found to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 M^(pro)in a time-and dose-dependent *** combination displayed a significant synergistic effect on this key ***,various techniques,including inhibition kinetic assays,chemoproteomic methods,and molecular dynamics simulations,were employed to further elucidate the synergistic anti-M^(pro)mechanisms of the combination of HE and ***,this study deciphers the naturally occurring covalent inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 M^(pro)from Ephedra and characterizes their synergistic anti-M^(pro)synergistic effect,providing robust evidence to support the anti-coronavirus efficacy of Ephedra.

Regio-and Stereoselective Polymerization of bio-based Ocimene by Rare-Earth Metal Catalysts

Coordination polymerization of renewable β-ocimene has been investigated using asymmetric diiminophosphinate lutetium complex1, β-diketiminate yttrium complex 2, bis(phosphino)carbazolide yttrium complex 3, half-sandwich benzyl fluorenyl scandium complex 4 and pyridyl-methylene-fluorenyl rare-metal complexes 5a–5c. Complexes 1, 4 and 5a–5c show trans-1,2-regioselectivities and high activities, of which 5c exhibits excellent isoselectivity(mmmm>99%). Conversely, complexes 2 and 3 promote β-ocimene polymerization to produce isotactic cis-1,4-polyocimenes(cis-1,4>99%, mm>95%). Diblock copolymers cis-1,4-PIP-block-cis-1,4-POc and cis-1,4-PbD-block-cis-1,4-POc are obtained in one-pot reactions of β-ocimene with isoprene and butadiene using complex 3. Epoxidation and hydroxylation of polyocimene afford functionalized polyolefins with enhanced T_(g)(from-20 ℃ to 79 ℃ and 74 ℃) and hydrophilicity.
