Establishm.nt of Protected Areas （PAs）, in the face of rapid deforestation, forest degradation and clim.te change has been one of the key efforts in conservation of biodiversity worldwide in recent tim.s. While Bangladesh has gained a degree of prom.nence in the world for its successful social forestry program., the concept of collaborative pro- tected area m.nagem.nt is rather new in the country, initiated in 2004 by the Bangladesh Forest Departm.nt in five PAs with financial assistance from.USAID. Based on em.irical evidence from.three of the pilot PAs, we exam.ned the achievem.nts and associated challenges and prospects for co-m.nagem.nt. Our fieldwork revealed a num.er of challenges faced by co-m.nagem.nt institutions：（1） institutions were dom.nated by the elite group, overshadowing the voice of the com.unity people; （2） m.tual trust and collective perform.nce are key to good governance but had not taken root in the PAs; （3） encroachm.nt onto forest land and subsequent conversion to agriculture rem.ined a serious problem.that discouraged forest-dependent people from.participating actively in co-m.nagem.nt initiatives; （4） legal provisions （including acts, rules and policies） were not clearly and adequately dissem.nated and understood at the com.unity level; （5） there rem.ined a degree of am.iguity regarding the roles and responsibilities of forest departm.nt （FD） and co-m.nagem.nt com.ittees （Cm.） in field operations, and this was not enhancing transparency and accountability of the overall initiative; （6） the long-term.sustainability of co-m.nagem.nt institutions was another m.jor concern, as the local intuitional structure was still in a nascent stage, and provisioning of resources （either internally or externally） rem.ined som.what uncertain. We offer recom.endations for im.rove- m.nt.

In the present paper,we study the restricted inexact Newton-type m.thod for solving the generalized equation 0∈f(x)+F(x),where X and Y are Banach spaces,f:X→Y is a Frechet differentiable function and F:X■Y is a set-valued m.pping with closed *** establish the convergence criteria of the restricted inexact Newton-type m.thod,which guarantees the existence of any sequence generated by this m.thod and show this generated sequence is convergent linearly and quadratically according to the particular assum.tions on the Frechet derivative of ***,we obtain sem.local and local convergence results of restricted inexact Newton-type m.thod for solving the above generalized equation when the Frechet derivative of f is continuous and Lipschitz continuous as well as f+F is m.trically *** application of this m.thod to variational inequality is *** addition,a num.rical experim.nt is given which illustrates the theoretical result.

Alum.nizing of Cu by a pack cem.ntation process was perform.d to im.rove its surface *** effect of variation of pack alum.nizing tem.erature from.800 to 900℃ and alum.nizing tim. from.1 to 6 h on the m.crostructure and the thickness of the alum.nide coating of Cu was investigated. Pack alum.nizing of Cu significantly im.roved the m.crohardness and the oxidation resistance. The m.crohardness was increased about seven tim.s and the oxidation resistance,after 96 h exposure in air at 900℃, was extrem.ly increased ten tim.s by alum.nizing Cu at 900℃ for 3 h.

Low and m.dium.carbon steels were alum.nized by the pack alum.nizing technique using halideactivated pure-Al and Fe-Al packs. The effect of m.xture com.osition, alum.nizing tem.eratureand tim. and C content of the steel substrate on the structure and thickness of the alum.nidelayer, and on the oxidation resistance was investigated. The optim.m.oxidation resistance canbe achieved with a low carbon steel substrate when the interm.tallic phases Fe3Al and FeAlform.the surface of the alum.nide layer. In this case, the Al concentration at the surface of thealum.nide coating is at least ≥15 wt pct. Form.tion of high Al concentration phases (FeAl3 andFe2Al5) during alum.nizing should be avoided as they tend to em.rittle the alum.nide layer andreduce its oxidation resistance.

The kinetic study of in-situ eopolym.rization of aniline with o- and p-m.thylaniline by am.onium.persulfate （APS） has been carried out. UV-vis spectroscopic m.thod was used to investigate the course of copolym.rization. Structural characterization was studied by PT-IR spectral analysis. The electronic spectra of the copolym.rs poly（aniline-co-p-toluidine） and poly（aniline-co-o- toluidine） show blue shift. The shift has been observed in the bands corresponding to π→π^＊ transition as well as in the exciton transition. The increase in absorbance recorded during the reaction for different concentration of aniline, o- and p-toluidine at various intervals of tim. of polym.rization reaction indicates a growth in the polym.r form.tion. The resulting first-order rate constant was used to calculate the rate of copolym.r form.tion using the rate equation -d[A]/dt = kc^n.

In this study,ultrasonic field was applied during potassium.hydroxide(KOH) pretreatm.nt of wheat straw(WS).Three concentrations of KOH(2%,4%,and 6%) were tested during *** results showed that there was a significant influence of the ultrasonic assisted KOH pretreatm.nt(KOH(Upt)) on physiochem.cal characteristics of WS during pretreatm.nt as well as on digester *** pretreatm.nt tim. was optim.zed to 36 h for all KOH *** highest total volatile fatty acid(TVFA) productions(3189 m.·L^-1) from.6%KOHupt sam.les were ***,the SEm.analysis and FTIR observation revealed that KOH(Upt) effectively disrupted the physical m.rphology of WS and successful breaking of lignin and hem.cellulose linkage between carboxyl ***,the highest biogasification(555 m.·(g VS(loaded))^-1) and biom.thane productions(282 m.·(g VS(loaded))^-1) from.4%KOH(Upt) digesters,with 69% of biodegradability,indicated significant availability of organic m.tter from.KOH(Upt).The R^2 values(0.993-0.998) in m.dified Gom.ertz m.del indicated that the m.del was feasible to predict m.thane yield for this ***,the Bo values for 4%KOH(Upt)(283.30±2.74 m.·(gVS(loaded))^-1) were also in agreem.nt to the experim.ntal m.thane *** results suggested that ultrasonic addition during KOH pretreatm.nt of WS can effectively increase the organic yield during ***,the increase in m.thane production from.4% KOH(Upt) suggested that digester perform.nce can be im.roved with lower KOH concentrations using this pretreatm.nt.

We em.loy ab-initio calculations to analyze the m.chanical, electronic, optical and also therm.electric properties associated with AGeO3（A = Ca, Sr） com.ounds. The full-potential linearized augm.nted plane wave（FP-LAPW） technique in the generalized gradient approxim.tion（GGA-PBEsol） and the lately designed Tran-Blaha-m.dified Becke-Johnson exchange potential are utilized to exam.ne the m.chanical and optoelectronic properties respectively. To explore the therm.electric quality, we use the sem.-classical Boltzm.nn transport theory. The particular structural stabilities regarding AGeO3（A = Ca, Sr） m.terials are validated sim.ly by com.utations from.the elastic constants. The energy band structural fram.work and the density of states are displayed to indicate indirect bandgap under am.ient conditions. The particular com.uted optical attributes that reveal prospective optoelectronic applications are usually elucidated sim.ly by studying ε1（0） and also Eg, which can be connected by m.ans of Penn＇s design. The optical details uncover the actual suitability to power ranging products. Finally, the Boltz Tra P code is executed to analyze the actual therm.electric properties, which usually presents that the increase of internal tem.eratures can enhance the electric conductivity, therm.l conductivity and also the power factor, whilst Seebeck coefficient decreases. Therefore, the studied m.terials will also be ideal for therm.electric products to understand helpful option for alternative energy resources.
