Effects of Different Geographical Aspects and Ontogenetic Variability on Total Hypericin Content of Hypericum triquetrifolium Turra. and Hypericum scabrum L.

The present study was conducted to determine the total hypericin contents of Hypericum triquetrifolium *** Hypericum scabrum *** which are naturally distributed in the flora of Siirt province,*** contents of Hypericum species grown in different geographical aspects(North,South,East,and West),and it was measured at different harvest times(full bloom-ing and post blooming period).In the current study,it has been determined that total hypericin content varies considerably according to aspects,plant developmental stages(ontogenetic variance),and *** to species x aspect interaction,the highest total hypericin content was recorded from the west aspect(3.13 mg/g)in Hypericum triquetrifolium,while,the lowest hypericin content was also obtained from the west aspect(1.22 mg/g)in Hypericum *** the highest total hypericin content was analyzed according to aspect x species x harvest time interaction,the highest total hypericin content was produced from Hypericum triquetrifolium at the harvest of west aspect with 5.28 mg/g,while the minimum amount of hypericin was obtained from the same aspect in Hypericum scabrum with 0.50 mg/*** species x harvest time interaction,the highest total hypericin content was obtained from the full bloom(3.10 mg/g)harvest in Hypericum triquetrifolium,while the lowest hypericin was obtained from the full bloom(1.26 mg/g)harvest in Hypericum *** data suggest that the aver-age total hypericin content was 2.26 mg/g in Hypericum triquetrifolium and 1.28 mg/g in Hypericum scabrum.

Poly[2-（4-chlorophenyl）-l,3-dioxolan-4-yl]methyl acrylate, poly（CPhDMA）, was synthesized with radical polymerization process using 2,2＇-azobisisobutyronitrile as radical initiator in 1,4-dioxane at 60℃. The structure of poly（CPhDMA） was confirmed by means of UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectral techniques. The molecular weight distribution values of the polymer were determined with gel permeation chromatography （GPC）. The number-average molecular weight （Mn）, weight-average molecular weight （Mw） and polydispersity index （PDI） values of poly（CPhDMA） were determined to be 10300, 21600 and 2.097, respectively. The thermal degradation kinetics of the polymer was investigated by using TG/DTG-DTA and DSC analyses at different heating rates in dynamic nitrogen atmosphere. The apparent activation energy values obtained by Flynn-Wall-Ozawa and Friedman methods were found to be 91.68 and 85.23 kJ mo1-1, respectively, for thermal decomposition of poly（CPhDMA）. Also, the thermal degradation activation energy value of poly（CPhDMA） was calculated by using the Kissinger method based on the DTG, DTA and DSC data. Then the mechanism function of it was determined by master plots method. Finally, electrical and optical properties of poly（CPhDMA） were determined by four-point probe and UV-Vis techniques, respectively.

Transforming wave heights from offshore to the shoreline is the first step of any coastal engineering work. Wave breaking is analyzed to understand hydrodynamic conditions. For vertical breakwaters and sea walls, wave reflection is an important process that affects the determination of the wave height. Many of the design formulas presented in the literature depend on empirical studies based on the structures tested. In this study, the hydrodynamic conditions in front of a vertical wall with an overhanging horizontal cantilever slab with a foreshore slope of 1/20 are determined experimentally under regular wave conditions to assess the applicability of the formulas of Goda(2000) for predicting the nearshore wave height and breaker index equation(Goda, 2010). The selection of wave measurements used to determine the design wave height, the reflection coefficients, and wave breaking is also analyzed, and the reflection equations are derived from the dataset covering different breaker types. Small-scale tests show that the incident wave height is a good representative of the design wave height and that the values predicted by Goda are in good agreement with actual measurements. However, the predicted Hmax values are overestimated. In addition, the inception of the wave breaking point is postponed because of the reflection and/or turbulence left over from preceding waves, which is an effect of the vertical wall. At higher water levels, the effect of the vertical wall on the inception point becomes more significant.

AIM： To analyze the possible risk factors in the development of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis（SAC） through an evaluation of skin allergy tests and data obtained from ***： The study included a total of 75 SAC patients and 71 control subjects without SAC diagnosis who were admitted to the Abant Izzet Baysal University Medical Faculty Ophthalmology Clinic between March 2016 and December 2016. Skin prick tests were performed for all participants. Serum levels of total IgE and 25-OH vitamin D were also measured. In the tear, total IgE levels were measured. Moreover, possible risk factors for the onset of SAC（smoking, paracetamol exposure, vitamin D supplementation and environmental factors etc.） were examined for all patients by both prenatal and postnatal ***： The patients with SAC were found to have a history of maternal paracetamol exposure during the prenatal period. Likewise, in the same patient group, the duration of postnatal vitamin D supplementation was shorter（P〈0.001）. However, no significant correlation was found between SAC and maternal antibiotic exposure, maternal smoking, the mode of delivery and birth weight, as well as presence of pets. Moreover, patients with SAC were more likely to have asthma, allergic rhinitis and oral allergy syndrome. We have also found that SAC patients＇ mothers and siblings were more likely to have allergic conjunctivitis. Likewise, their fathers were more likely to have allergic rhinitis. CONCLUSION： Prenatal maternal paracetamol exposure and shorter duration of vitamin D supplementation in the postnatal period may play a role in development of SAC. Therefore prevention of unnecessary gestational paracetamol intake and vitamin D supplementation during infancy could potentially reduce the onset and development of SAC.

Solving vehicle routing problem with time windows using metaheuristic approaches

Purpose-Drugs are strategic products with essential functions in human *** optimum design of the pharmaceutical supply chain is critical to avoid economic damage and adverse effects on human *** vehicle-routing problem,focused on finding the lowest-cost routes with available vehicles and constraints,such as time constraints and road length,is an important aspect of *** this paper,the vehicle routing problem(VRP)for a pharmaceutical company in Turkey is ***/methodology/approach-A mixed-integer programming(MIP)model based on the vehicle routing problem with time windows(VRPTW)is presented,aiming to minimize the total route cost with certain *** the model provides an optimum solution for small problem sizes with the GUROBI®solver,for large problem sizes,metaheuristic methods that simulate annealing and adaptive large neighborhood search algorithms are proposed.A real dataset was used to analyze the effectiveness of the metaheuristic *** proposed simulated annealing(SA)and adaptive large neighborhood search(ALNS)were evaluated and compared against GUROBI®and each other through a set of real problem ***-The model is solved optimally for a small-sized dataset with exact algorithms;for solving a larger dataset,however,metaheuristic algorithms require significantly lesser *** the problem addressed in this study,while the metaheuristic algorithms obtained the optimum solution in less than one minute,the solution in the GUROBI®solver was limited to one hour and three hours,and no solution could be obtained in this time ***/value-The VRPTW problem presented in this paper is a real-life *** vehicle fleet owned by the factory cannot be transported between certain suppliers,which complicates the solution of the problem.

Simple sequence repeats（SSRs） defined as sequence repeat units between 1 and 6 bp occur abundantly in both coding and non-coding regions in eukaryotic genomes and these repeats can affect gene expression. In this study, ESTs（expressed sequence tags） of Betula pendula（silver birch） were analyzed for in silico mining of ESTSSRs, protein annotation, open reading frames（ORFs）,designing primers, and identifying codon repetitions. In ***, the frequency of ESTs containing SSRs was 7.8 %with an average of 1SSR/4. 78 kb of EST sequences. A total of 188 SSRs was identified by using MISA software and dinucleotide SSR motifs（65.9 %） were found to be the most abundant type of repeat motif followed by tri-（27.1 %）,tetra-（4.8 %）, and penta-（2.2 %） motifs. Based on ORF analysis, 175 of 178 sequences were predicted as ORFs and the most frequent SSRs were detected in 50 UTR（58.43 %）,followed by in ORF（31.46 %） and in 30UTR（8.43 %）. 102 of 178 ESTs were annotated as ribosomal protein, transport protein, membrane protein, carrier protein, binding protein,and transferase protein. For a total of 102 SSRs（57.3 %）with significant matches, a set of 102 primers（100 %） with forward and reverse strands was designed by using Primer 3 software. Serine（Ser, 19.6 %） was predominant in putative encoded amino acids and most of amino acids showed nonpolar（35.3 %） nature. Our data provide resources for *** and can be useful for in silico comparative analyses of Betulaceae species, including SSR mining.

Understanding the atomistic formation of oxide layers on semiconductors is important for thin film fabrication,scaling down conventional devices and for the integration of emerging research ***,the initial oxidation of Si(111)is studied using the scanning tunneling *** to the complete saturation of the silicon surface with oxygen,we are able to probe the atomic nature of the oxide layer *** establish the threshold for local manipulation of inserted oxygen sites to be+3.8 *** by combining imaging with local atomic manipulation are we able to determine whether inserted oxygen exists beneath surface-bonded oxygen sites and differentiate between sites that have one and more than one oxygen atom inserted beneath the *** to the creation of the thin oxide film we observe a flip in the manipulation rates of inserted oxygen sites consistent with more oxygen inserting beneath the silicon surface.

A Two-Level Approach based on Integration of Bagging and Voting for Outlier Detection

Purpose:The main aim of this study is to build a robust novel approach that is able to detect outliers in the datasets *** serve this purpose,a novel approach is introduced to determine the likelihood of an object to be extremely different from the general behavior of the entire ***/methodology/approach:This paper proposes a novel two-level approach based on the integration of bagging and voting techniques for anomaly detection *** proposed approach,named Bagged and Voted Local Outlier Detection(BV-LOF),benefits from the Local Outlier Factor(LOF)as the base algorithm and improves its detection rate by using ensemble ***:Several experiments have been performed on ten benchmark outlier detection datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness of the BV-LOF *** to the results,the BV-LOF approach significantly outperformed LOF on 9 datasets of 10 ones on *** limitations:In the BV-LOF approach,the base algorithm is applied to each subset data multiple times with different neighborhood sizes(k)in each case and with different ensemble sizes(T).In our study,we have chosen k and T value ranges as[1-100];however,these ranges can be changed according to the dataset handled and to the problem *** implications:The proposed method can be applied to the datasets from different domains(***,finance,manufacturing,etc.)without requiring any prior *** the BV-LOF method includes two-level ensemble operations,it may lead to more computational time than single-level ensemble methods;however,this drawback can be overcome by parallelization and by using a proper data structure such as R*-tree or ***/value:The proposed approach(BV-LOF)investigates multiple neighborhood sizes(k),which provides findings of instances with different local densities,and in this way,it provides more likelihood of outlier detection that LOF may *** also brings many benefits such as easy impleme
