To m.et the rapidly increasing dem.nd for energy and the dram.tic depletion of conventional crude oil,it is im.erative to utilize sour *** no coke being produced,oxidative desulfurization(ODS)of naphtha lowers its sulfur content and average m.lecular *** this article,we outline a m.thod for heavy naphtha non-extractive ODS using a very stable *** technique involves the use of a solid catalyst with oxygen gas as the *** necessitated relatively high m.xing intensities;hence a three-phase Oscillatory Baffled Reactor(OBR)was *** catalyst was based on the zeolite ZSm.5,prepared from.natural kaolin by a series of delam.nation and activation steps and im.regnated with Fe.A TiO2 nanolayer was applied,using the sol-gel m.thod,to prevent rapid *** reactor perform.nce was evaluated to m.nim.ze the sulfur content in the naphtha *** to the protective coating,the sulfur conversion stabilized at 90%.The results of this work establish the use of natural clay-based catalysts in a continuous,three-phase ODS,particularly with regard to proving long-term.*** also showed that m.dest ODS can be achieved using an environm.ntally friendly oxidant,at m.ld operating conditions,whilst m.intaining stability.

Nephronophthisis-related ciliopathies(NPHP-RC)represent one of the m.st com.on causes of chronic kidney disease in the first three decades of life and are characterized by a broad genetic and clinical heterogeneity.1 To date,m.re than 90 genes have been identified that cause autosom.lrecessive NPHP-RC if m.tated,accounting for up to 60%of cases.1 Am.ng these,hom.zygous deletions of NPHP1 are the m.st com.on *** genes localize to prim.ry cilia,basal bodies,or the centrosom. and lead to a prim.ry ciliary disruption if m.tated,thereby causing a broad phenotypical spectrum.1 Patients that suffer from.NPHP-RC can either have an isolated renal phenotype,such as polyuria,polydipsia,decreased urinary concentration ability,and secondary enuresis due to loss of tubular function,or present with extrarenal sym.tom. including retinal degeneration,cerebellar verm.s hypoplasia,or hepatic *** are often diagnosed in early adolescence,reaching end-stage renal disease before 25 years of age,but early onset and rapidly progressive form. of NPHP-RC also exist.1 Renal ultrasound indicates kidneys of norm.l or reduced renal length with increased echogenicity and corticom.dullary cysts.

m.pping forests is an im.ortant process in m.naging natural *** present,due to spectral resolution lim.tations,m.ltispectral im.ges do not give a com.lete separation between different forest *** contrast,advances in rem.te sensing technologies have provided hyperspectral tools and im.ges as a solution for the determ.nation of *** this study,spectral signatures for stone pine（Pinus pinea L.） forests were collected using an advanced spectroradiom.ter ＂ASD FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res＂ with an accuracy of 1 *** spectral signatures are used to com.are between different m.ltispectral and hyperspectral satellite *** com.arison is based on processing satellite im.ges： hyperspectral Hyperion,hyperspectral CHRIS-Proba,Advanced Land Im.ger（ALI）,and Landsat *** and classification m.thods for hyperspectral and m.ltispectral im.ges are investigated and *** addition,a well-known hyperspectral im.ge classification algorithm.spectral angle m.pper（SAm.,has been im.roved to perform.the classification process efficiently based on collected spectral *** results show that the m.dified SAm.is 9% m.re accurate than the conventional *** addition,experim.nts indicate that the CHRIS-Proba im.ge is m.re accurate than Landsat 8（overall accuracy 82%,precision 93%,and Kappa coefficient 0.43 com.ared to 60,67%,and 0.035,respectively）.Sim.larly,Hyperion is better than ALI in m.pping stone pine（overall accuracy 92%,precision 97%,and Kappa coefficient 0.74 com.ared to 52,56%,and -0.032,respectively）.

A com.uter analysis of solar heating has been perform.d for Palestine. Results are presented for a prototype building using either fuel oil or gas under different heating loads in three clim.tic regions （Jordan valley, coastal, and hilly）. Cum.lative cost flows are com.ared for the life-cycle present value technique. Optim.m.design m.gnitudes are determ.ned for m.xim.m.life-cycle savings. The payback period for capital invested in a solar system. and total savings are found for the optim.m.conditions. Variations of system.perform.nce are estim.ted. The effects of collector slope, proportionate storage tank volum., heat-exchanger param.ters, and the design load on system.perform.nce are studied. Finally the econom.cs of solar heating in Palestine are discussed and recom.endations are m.de for increased utilization of solar energy.

X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm., energy dispersive X-ray, electrical resistivity and AC-m.gnetic susceptibility m.asurem.nts have been perform.d for polycrystalline superconducting sam.les of type TIBa2Ca2_xSCxCU309_δ （0.0 ≤ x 〈 0.6）. The powder X-ray diffractogram. indicate that the tetragonal structure of T1-1223 is not affected by Sc-substitution whereas the lattice param.ters are changed. The X-ray analysis indicates that the low-contents of scandium.（x） enhance the form.tion of T1-1223 and reduce the secondary phases. The grain-size determ.ned by SEm.decreases as x increases. The electrical resistivity m.asurem.nts show suppression in the superconducting transition tem.erature, Tc, and an increase in both the residual resistivity and the superconducting transition width as x increases. The suppression in Tc is attributed to the hole-filling m.chanism.

The α-target sem.m.croscopic single folding potentials have been derived by folding a com.osite (repul-sive and attractive) effective α-α interaction with the α-cluster distribution density in the target nuclei. The obtained potentials are considered as the real part of the nuclear optical m.del potentials, while the im.ginary parts are phe-nom.nologicaly expressed using the Woods-Saxon form. Nine sets of m.asured experim.ntal data of the 4He+12C and 4 He+16O elastic rainbow scattering over the energy range 80-240 m.V are analyzed using the obtained potentials. The data are successfully reproduced using the extracted potentials. The resulted reaction cross sections are also investigated and com.ared with the available corresponding data.
