In this study,the potential of a low-cost bio-adsorbent,taken directly from Date Palm Trunk Fibers(DPTF)agricultural wastes,for cadmium ions removal from wastewaters is *** performances of this adsorbent are evaluated by building breakthrough curves at different bed heights and flow rates while keeping other parameters,such as the initial feed concentration,pH,and particle size,*** results indicate that the maximum cadmium adsorption capacity of DTPF can be obtained from the Thomas model as 51.5 mg/g with the most extended mass transfer zone of 83 min at the lowest flow rate at 5 ml/*** saturation concentrations(NO)and the rate constant(kab)obtained from the BDsT(bed depth service time)model are 7022.16 mg/l and 0.0536 l/***,*** the Yon-Nelsen Model,it is found that operating at a lower flow rate leads to a larger value of the elapsed needed time to reach a 50%*** Wolborska model indicates that the bed capacity increases with decreasing the flow rate,and the adsorbent can achieve a greater external mass transfer kinetic coefficient(2.271/min)at a higher flow rate.

New series of pyrazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidine derivatives 7a-i,11a-c and schiff bases 13a-c were synthesized and screened for their in vitro antitumor activity against three human carcinoma cell lines,namely colorectal carcinoma（HCT116）,prostate adenocarcinoma（PC-3） and liver carcinoma（HepG-2） using MTT cytotoxicity assay at 100 μg/*** of the tested compounds displayed good anticancer activities against HCT-116 and PC-3 ***,compounds 7d and 11 a showed better antitumor activity than the rest of the compounds against both cell lines.A structure-activity relationship（sAR） has been discussed and structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by different spectral data（Ms,IR,^1H NMR and ^13C NMR） and elemental analysis.

Concentrated solar power plants can play a significant role in alleviating sudan’s energy *** plants can be established and implemented in sudan,as their potential is considerably high due to the climate conditions in *** study investigates the design of a parabolic trough concentrated solar power plant in sudan and analyzes its technical and economic *** simulation of the plant’s model used system Advisor Model(sAM)*** determine the best location for the construction of the plant,data from 15 cities in sudan were compared with each other based on their solar radiation and land *** Halfa,a city in the northern region of sudan,was chosen as the location due to its good topographical properties and climate *** results show that the proposed plant can generate 281.145 GWh of electricity annually with a capacity factor of 40.1%and an overall efficiency of 15%.Additionally,a simple cost analysis of the plant indicates a levelized cost of electricity of 0.155$/*** the study results are consistent with the characteristics of similar plants,the proposed plant is considered technically and economically feasible under the conditions at its location.

Banking is an essential sector of Palestine’s *** credits provided by banks are considered to have a positive impact on economic growth so that the overall objective of this study is to examine the impact of bank lending on economic growth in *** study employs the Augmented Dickey-Fuller to test for stationarity in the time series,The Johansen co-integration,Vector Autoregressive Model and Vector Error Correction Model are employed to identify the long-run and short-run dynamics among the variables,and Granger causality test in order to determine the direction of *** study finds that a long run relationship exists among the variables and insignificant short run ***,the study findings show that there is unidirectional causality and runs from GDP to bank *** insignificant contribution of bank lending to GDP is attributed to the fact that banks are not highly interested in lending to the production sector of the economy due to the high level of ***,the primary empirical evidence reveals that bank lending doesn’t cause economic growth,but economic growth causes bank lending.

The Wireless sensor Network(WsN)is regarded as the fastest expanding technological trend in recent years due its application in a variety of *** the monitoring region,several sensor nodes with various sensing capabilities are installed to gather appropriate data and communicate it to the *** proposed system of the heterogeneous WsN employing LoRaWAN-Zigbee based hybrid communication is explored in this research *** communicate in a network,two Long–Range Wide Area Network(LoRaWAN)sensor clusters and two Zigbee sensor clusters are employed,together with two Zigbee and LoRaWAN *** suggested Golden eagle shepherd optimization(GEsO)method then forms Zigbee as well as LoRaWAN networking ***,depending on energy usage and data packet size,the fitness of each sensor node is assessed using the Dynamic Intelligent Reasoning Based Neural(DIRN)*** software is used to implement and execute this *** the Zigbee network’s transmission distance is 650 m and the LoRaWAN network’s transmission range is 3.5 km,the system can function with a packet loss rate of less than 0.04 *** study shows significant gains in the performance of the system when compared to traditional approaches based on digital findings obtained on software solutions.

Hepatitis C virus(HCV) infects hepatocytes, polarized cells in the liver. Chronic HCV infection often leads to steatosis, fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, and it has been identified as the leading cause of liver transplantation worldwide. The HCV replication cycle is dependent on lipid metabolism and particularly an accumulation of lipid droplets in host cells. Phosphoinositides(PIs) are minor phospholipids enriched in different membranes and their levels are tightly regulated by specific PI kinases and phosphatases. PIs are implicated in a vast array of cellular responses that are central to morphogenesis, such as cytoskeletal changes, cytokinesis and the recruitment of downstream effectors to govern mechanisms involved in polarization and lumen formation. Important reviews of the literature identified phosphatidylinositol(Ptd Ins) 4-kinases, and their lipid products Ptd Ins(4)P, as critical regulators of the HCV life cycle. sH2-containing inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase(sHIP2), phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K) and their lipid products Ptd Ins(3,4)P2 and Ptd Ins(3,4,5)P3, respectively, play an important role in the cell membrane and are key to the establishment of apicobasal polarity and lumen formation. In this review, we will focus on these new functions of PI3 K and sHIP2, and their deregulation by HCV, causing a disruption of apicobasal polarity, actin organization and extracellular matrix assembly. Finally we will highlight the involvement of this pathway in the event of insulin resistance and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease related to HCV infection.

The effect of the partial substitution of Casup>2+sup> by Hosup>3+sup> ions on the electrical and mechanical properties of the superconducting phase (Bi,Pb)-2223 was studied. superconducting samples of the type (Bisub>1.8sub>Pbsub>0.4sub>)srsub>2sub>Casub>2.1?x sub>Hosub> xsub>Cusub>3.1sub>Osub>10+δsub> were prepared by solid-state reaction technique under ambient pressure, and characterized by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (sEM). The superconducting transition temperature T sub>csub> and pseudogap temperature T* were estimated from electrical resistivity measurements, while the critical current density J sub>csub> was determined from I-V curves. The electrical resistivity data were discussed according to bipolaron model in the absence of thermally excited individual polarons. The sample with x = 0.025 showed the highest phase volume fraction, T sub>csub>, and J sub>csub>. Room temperature Vickers microhardness measurements were carried out at different applied loads (0.25-5 N) in order to investigate the performance of the mechanical properties of (Bisub>1.8sub>Pbsub>0.4sub>)srsub>2sub>Casub>2.1?x sub>Hosub> xsub>Cusub>3.1sub>Osub>10+δsub> phase. It was found that all the samples exhibit normal indentation size effect (IsE). The Vickers microhardness number H sub>Vsub> increased as x increased from 0 to 0.025. The experimental results were discussed in view of Meyer’s law, Hays-Kendall (HK) approach, elastic/plastic deformation (EPD) model, and proportional specimen resistance (PsR) model. The load independent (true) microhardness of (Bisub>1.8sub>Pbsub>0.4sub>)srsub>2sub>Casub>2.1?x sub>Hosub> xsub>Cusub>3.1sub>Osub>10+δsub> superconducting samples showed identical behavior to that of the PsR model.

Polylactic acid(PLA)possesses good mechanical and biodegradability properties which make it a suitable material for polymer composites whereas brittleness and high costs limit its utilization in various *** reinforcement of natural fibres with biopolymers has been formed to be an efficient technique to develop composites having the ability to be fully *** study concerns with the incorporation of various percentages of untreated and alkali-treated Coir Fibres(CF)and pineapple leaf fibres(PALF)in PLA biocomposites and characterizations of flexural,morphological and dynamic mechanical *** properties showed that the treated C1P1 hybrid composites(C1P1A)displayed highest flexural strength(35.81 MPa)and modulus(5.28 GPa)among all hybrid *** Electron Microscopy(sEM)revealed a behaviour of fibre-matrix adhesion in untreated treated *** observation revealed good dispersion of the fillers in *** mechanical analysis revealed that C1P1A showed highest glass transition temperature(Tg)and storage modulus(E')while untreated C3P7 displayed the least Tg and E'.Overall findings showed that alkali-treated hybrid biocomposites(CF/PALF/PLA)especially C1P1A have improved flexural properties,dynamic and morphological properties over untreated *** of these findings will provide attracting consideration of these hybrid biocomposites for various lightweight uses in a broad selection of industrial applications such as biomedical sectors,automobile,construction,electronics equipment,and hardware tools.

We report the first case of a neonate with concurrent Chiari II malformation and achondroplasia. Although rare, both these conditions contribute to several deleterious anatomical changes at the cervicomedullary junction and thus predispose to acute hydrocephalus. Although our patient was initially asymptomatic, hydrocephalus ensued several weeks after birth and required cerebral spinal fluid diversion. We discuss the potential links between the two conditions, the pathophysiology, and the important clinical implications for the management of the increased risk of hydrocephalus.

In this paper,we studied the vibration performance,energy transfer and stability of the offshore wind turbine tower system under mixed *** method of multiple scales is utilized to calculate the approximate solutions of wind turbine *** proportional-derivative controller was applied for reducing the oscillations of the controlled *** the controller to single degree of freedom system equation is responsible for energy transfers in offshore wind turbine tower *** steady state solution of stability at worst resonance cases is studied and *** offshore wind turbine system behavior was studied numerically at its different parameters ***,the response and numerical results were obtained and *** stability is also analyzed using technique of phase plane and equations of frequency *** addition,the numerical results and comparison between analytical and numerical solutions were obtained with MAPLE and MATLAB algorithms.
