m.Introductionm.: Worl.wide, the incidence of kidney stones has been progressivel. increasing. Various factors can infl.ence the risk of stone form.tion, incl.ding l.festyl. and eating habits. The dietary investigation is a standard of care in patients with urol.thiasis. The objectives of this study were to determ.ne the dietary habits of l.thiasis patients in the city of Kinshasa and to investigate the association between dietary habits and the com.osition of the stones. m.m.terial.and m.thodsm.: From.January 2017 to Septem.er 2019, 85 patients attending 8 hospital. participated in the nutrition survey. Various foods com.onl. consum.d in the Dem.cratic Republ.c of Congo were categorized based on their com.osition: foods rich in anim.l.proteins, foods rich in cal.ium. foods high in sugar, foods high in oxal.te, and various vegetabl.s and fruits. We al.o investigated dail. water intake. The com.osition of the col.ected stones was anal.zed by infrared spectrophotom.try. m.Resul.sm.: The m.an (SD) age of patients was 47.1 (14.0) years, 63.5% of patients were m.l.s, 75.3% of the patients had stones l.cated in the upper urinary tract, and 7.1% were undernourished. m.st of patients consum.d vegetabl.s (77.6%), anim.l.proteins (62.4%), and foods rich in oxal.te (58.8%). The dail. water intake was l.ss than 1500 m. in m.re than hal. of the patients (68.2%). m.jor anhydrous uric acid stones were associated with a high body m.ss index (p = 0.025). m.l. patients with a high oxal.te diet had m.re cal.ium.oxal.te stones (64.3%) com.ared to other types of stones (p = 0.041). m.Concl.sionm.: High consum.tions of vegetabl.s and l.w water intake were l.nked to the form.tion of cal.ium.oxal.te m.nohydrate stones. m.re data are needed to confirm.these findings.

Objectives: Sex work is not wel. docum.nted am.ng African m.n. The aim.of this study was to describe the epidem.ol.gical.profil. of m.n who have sex with m.n (m.m. and eventual.y to determ.ne the proportion of sex workers (SW) am.ng them. as wel. as the proportion of m.m.who have been victim. of gender-based viol.nce (GBV). m.terial.and m.thods: A cross-sectional.study coordinated by the Direction de l. m.decine du Travail.was carried out at the headquarters of the association Al.ERNATIVES in Bangui Bangui from.Jul. 1 to October 31, 2021. Consenting m.m.present during the study period were system.tical.y incl.ded. Sociodem.graphic variabl.s, those rel.ting to the future vision of the activity and to GBV were col.ected and anal.zed using Epi-Info version 7 software. Resul.s: Forty m.m.with an average age of 23 years and m.inl. secondary education (75.0%) were incl.ded. The vast m.jority of m.m.were unem.l.yed (85.0%). 45.0% had been victim. of GBV and wanted to stop working as an m.m.(47.5%), and al.0}st 2/3 (65.0%) woul. accept another incom.-generating activity in exchange for the m.m. Viol.nce was sexual.(32.5%), econom.c (22.5%), physical.(20.0%), verbal.(12.5%) and psychol.gical.(12.5%). Concl.sion: The m.m.were m.inl. young, poorl. educated, unem.l.yed, and al.0}st hal. were victim. of GBV. The desire to change m.m.activity to another incom.-generating activity al.ngside that of m.m.shows that m.ny of them.are SW, workers in the inform.l.sector. This m.st be taken into account in prevention activities, even if the data needs to be confirm.d on a m.ch l.rger sam.l..

Pickering em.l.ions are system. without surfactants, stabil.zed by sol.d particl.s. These em.l.ions are experiencing a renewed interest, on the one hand, because it is preferabl. to l.m.t the use of synthetic surfactants for toxicol.gical.and environm.ntal.reasons and, on the other hand, the need to m.ke new form.l.tions in order to control.the drug rel.ase patterns by encapsul.tion or control.ed rel.ase. Thus, we were interested in the form.l.tion and eval.ation of W/O Pickering em.l.ions stabil.zed by particl.s of m.gnesium.oxide with paracetam.l.in the internal.phase and griseoful.in in the external.phase. The Bancroft rul. served as a m.del.for the form.l.tion. The em.l.ification was carried out by progressivel. adding an aqueous phase dispersed in an oil.dispersing phase using a turbo rotor stator m.xer. The stabil.ty of these em.l.ions was studied using several.param.ters (dropl.t size, pH, viscosity, conductivity ...) and the qual.tative and quantitative anal.sis of the active ingredients by UV-visibl. spectrophotom.try. The resul.s obtained showed that the dye test and the conductivity m.asurem.nt confirm.d the W/O nature of these em.l.ions. Som. param.ters such as dropl.t size, pH and viscosity were strongl. infl.enced by the am.unts of m.gnesium.oxide particl.s and the two active ingredients used. The qual.tative and quantitative anal.sis of the active ingredients confirm.d the presence of griseoful.in in the oil.phase and paracetam.l.in the aqueous phase. Thus, we have succeeded in devel.ping a stabl. W/O Pickering em.l.ion with m.gnesium.oxide particl.s. In addition, we were abl. to incorporate paracetam.l.into the dispersed phase and griseoful.in into the dispersing phase of the em.l.ion.

This study eval.ates the im.rovem.nt of the radar Quantitative Precipitation Estim.tion (QPE) by invol.ing m.crophysical.processes in the determ.nation of Z-R algorithms. Within the framework of the AMMA campaign, measurements of an X-band radar (Xport), a vertical pointing Micro Rain Radar (MRR) to investigate microphysical processes and a dense network of rain gauges deployed in Northern Benin (West Africa) in 2006 and 2007 were used as support to establish such estimators and evaluate their performance compared to other estimators in the literature. By carefully considering and correcting MRR attenuation and calibration issues, the Z-R estimator developed with the contribution of microphysical processes and non-linear least-squares adjustment proves to be more efficient for quantitative rainfall estimation and produces the best statistic scores than other optimal Z-Rl.="font-fam.l.:Verdana;"> al.orithm. in the l.terature. The runoff and soil.l.ss were assessed m.in situm. at the scal. of 2.12 m.sup>2 pl.ts during the rainy season of 2010 to better understand the determ.nants and m.gnitude of the m.ssive soil.l.ss and l.nd subsidence (donga) in the sub-hum.d zone of Africa in Karim.m., North Benin. The experim.ntal.design was a spl.t pl.t with two factors: the topography in 3 m.dal.ties (upstream. center and downstream.of the donga) was assigned as m.in pl.t factor and the degree of degradation of dongas in 2 m.dal.ties (beginner dongas and advanced dongas) was assigned as subpl.t factor. Runoff water was col.ected through a storage system.com.osed of two tanks. Data were col.ected on 36 pl.ts (9 pl.ts per donga × 4 dongas). The runoff varies significantl. from.one site to another for the rainy episode of October 10, 2010. It is twice as high in l.nd use areas (5.87 m.) as in W Park (2.32 m.;l.s.d. = 1.81 m.). From.upstream.to downstream. runoff and soil.l.ss increased from.2.4 m. to 85.3 m. and 80 g·m.sup>-2 to 197 g·m.sup>-2, respectivel.. Runoff is high in the earl. dongas (7.60 m.) and l.w in the advanced dongas (5.68 m.) in contrast to l.wer soil.l.ss in the earl. dongas (34 g·m.sup>-2) and high in the advanced dongas (237 g·m.sup>-2). The l.w val.e of soil.l.ss with respect to the m.gnitude of the phenom.non suggests the probabl. occurrence of other soil.l.ss m.chanism. to be el.cidated.

Introduction: m.scul.skel.tal.disorders (m.Ds) are a set of peri-articul.r conditions that resul. m.inl. in pain and functional.discom.ort. They represent a m.jor occupational.heal.h probl.m.in al. areas of activity. The objective of this work was to determ.ne the preval.nce of m.Ds am.ng street vendors in the city of Bangui in the Central.African Republ.c (CAR). m.thods: A cross-sectional.study was conducted from.Septem.er 01 to October 31, 2021 in Bangui, the capital.of CAR. The study popul.tion consisted of street vendors which were incl.ded at the entrance of 4 l.rge m.rkets of Bangui after giving inform.d consent. The sam.l. size, cal.ul.ted according to the Schwartz form.l., was 384. Sociodem.graphic data (age, gender, l.vel.of education, m.rital.status), professional.data (the duration of sal. in hours, the distance travel.d per day);and heal.h data (the heal.h probl.m. suffered by itinerant sel.ers and the m.ans of deal.ng with them. were col.ected using a pre-establ.shed sel.-questionnaire. This col.ected data was processed using m.crosoft Excel.2013 and Epi-Info version 7 software. Resul.s: Am.ng 384 street vendors incl.ded, wom.n represented a quarter (24.9%). The average age was 27 years;the 25-34 age group was the m.st represented (50%). About two-thirds (64.8%) sol. for at l.ast 12 hours and travel.d m.re than 10 km.(69.3%) per day. The m.in heal.h probl.m. reported by street vendors were m.scul.skel.tal.disorders (95.8%). Their l.cations concerned the upper l.m.s shoul.er 65.36% (251), el.ow 24.22% (93). Non-ergonom.c postures that stress the back and joints al. day l.ng, causing pain are risk factors for m.Ds. These m.Ds were treated by sel.-m.dication with non-steroidal.anti-infl.m.atory drugs (22.0%), m.inl. sol. on the street. Concl.sion: m.Ds dom.nated the heal.h probl.m. of street vendors. These probl.m. raise the need for recognition and support for these workers to optim.ze their perform.nce whil. preserving their heal.h through awareness and

Introduction: Testicul.r sem.nom. is a highl. l.m.hophil.c germ.cel. tum.r. It is the m.st com.on germ.cel. tum.r in young adul.s. We are reporting one case of testicul.r sem.nom. com.l.cated with an acute general.zed peritonitis (AGP), in order to describe the circum.tances of diagnosis and discuss about treatm.nt. Observation: It invol.ed a 39-year-ol. patient, adm.tted for vague abdom.nal.pains that were evol.ing since 72 hours with a history of right orchiectom. because of testicul.r sem.nom. in 2011. The anal.sis reveal.d a peritoneal.syndrom., a right inguinal.l.m.hadenopathy of 10 cm.diam.ter and an em.ty right scrotum. The expl.ration reveal.d fistul.zed necrotic retro-peritoneal.l.m.hadenopathies in the peritoneal.cavity and il.al.perforation on contact with these l.m.hadenopathies. Necrosectom. and il.al.resections were perform.d. After the operation, the scanner reveal.d a congl.m.ration of retro-peritoneal.adenom.gal.es extending to the right fem.ral.region associated with bil.teral.pl.urisy. The β-HCG and the l.H were 8000 IU/l.and 24,500 IU/l. respectivel.. The sem.nom. was ranked T3N3m.. The im.ediate post-operative care was uneventful. The patient was l.st from.sight for a m.nth and was readm.tted in a context of al.eration of his general.condition. He died before the end of the pre-chem.therapeutic assessm.nt. Concl.sion: Scrotal.m.ss is the usual.way of revel.tion of testicul.r sem.nom.. In poorl. fol.owed-up cases, exceptional.com.l.cations such as peritonitis m.y occur and are direct consequences of poor prognosis.
