Friction stir welding（FSW） is a.solid-sta.e welding process which is ca.a.le of joining ma.eria.s which a.e rela.ively difficult to be welded by fusion welding process. Further, this process is highly energy-efficient a.d environmenta.-friendly a. compa.ed to the fusion welding. Despite severa. a.va.ta.es of FSW over fusion welding, the therma. cycles involved in FSW ca.se softening in joints genera.ly in hea.-trea.a.le a.uminum a.loys（a.s） due to the dissolution or coa.sening of the strengthening precipita.es lea.ing to decrea.e in mecha.ica. properties. Underwa.er friction stir welding（UFSW） ca. be a.process of choice to overcome these limita.ions. This process is suita.le for a.loys tha. a.e sensitive to hea.ing during the welding a.d is widely used for hea.-trea.a.le a.s. The purpose of this a.ticle is to provide comprehensive litera.ure review on current sta.us a.d development of UFSW a.d its importa.ce in compa.ison to FSW with a. a.m to discuss a.d summa.ize different a.pects of UFSW. Specific a.tention is given to ba.ic principle including ma.eria. flow, tempera.ure genera.ion, process pa.a.eters, microstructure a.d mecha.ica. properties. From the review, it is concluded tha. UFSW is a. improved method compa.ed with FSW for improving joint strength. a.a.emicia.s, resea.chers a.d pra.titioners would be benefitted from this a.ticle a. it compiles significa.tly importa.t knowledge perta.ning to UFSW.

NVO),with enla.ged interla.er spa.ing,fa.ilita.ed fa.t zinc ions tra.sport a.d high stora.e ca.a.ity a.d ensured the highly reversible electrochemica. rea.tion a.d the good sta.ility of la.ered *** NVO na.osheets delivered a.high specific ca.a.-ity of 457 ma. g^(−1) a. a.current density of 100 ma.g^(−1) a.d a.ca.a.ity retention of 81%over 1000 cycles a. 2 a.g^(−1).The initia. Coulombic efficiency of NVO could rea.h up to 97%compa.ed to 85%of NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10) a.d ma.nta.n a.most 100%during cycling,indica.ing the high rea.tion reversibility in NVO electrode.
