Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis（ALS）is a devastating neurodegenerative disorder characterized by loss of upper and lower motor *** mechanisms contribute to the disease initiation and progression,including mitochondrial dysfunction which has been proposed to be a central determinant in ALS ***,while mitochondrial defects have been mainly described in ALS-linked SOD1 mutants,it is now well established that mitochondria become also dysfunctional in other ALS *** such context,the mitochondrial quality control system allows to restore normal functioning of mitochondria and to prevent cell death,by both eliminating and replacing damaged mitochondrial components or by degrading the entire organelle through *** evidence shows that ALS-related genes interfere with the mitochondrial quality control *** review highlights how ineffective mitochondrial quality control may render motor neurons defenseless towards the accumulating mitochondrial damage in ALS.

The effects of the mold preheating and the silicon content of ductile iron on the percentage of carbides,graphite nodule counts and shrinkage volume were *** results showed that the percentage of carbides and the shrinkage volume decreased when the mold preheating *** ductile iron with the carbon equivalent of 4.45 % and the silicon content of 2.5% without any porosity defects was achieved when the mold preheating was 450 ℃.Increasing the silicon content in the range of 2.1%-3.3% led to the increase in graphite nodule count and graphite size and the decrease in percentage of *** is due to the increase in induced expansion pressure during the graphite formation with the increasing of silicon *** suitable condition for casting a sound product of ductile iron without the riser at the mold preheating temperature of 300 ℃ is the silicon content of 3.3% and carbon equivalent of 4.7%.

Landslide detection is a hot topic in the remote sensing community,particularly with the current rapid growth in volume(and variety)of Earth observation data and the substantial progress of computer *** learning algorithms,especially fully convolutional networks(FCNs),and variations like the ResU-Net have been used recently as rapid and automatic landslide detection *** FCNs have shown cutting-edge results in automatic landslide detection,accuracy can be improved by adding prior knowledge through possible *** study evaluates a rulebased object-based image analysis(OBIA)approach built on probabilities resulting from the ResU-Net model for landslide *** train the ResU-Net model using a landslide dataset comprising landslide inventories from various geographic regions,including our study area and test the testing area not used for *** the OBIA stage,we frst calculate land cover and image difference indices for pre-and post-landslide multi-temporal ***,we use the generated indices and the resulting ResU-Net probabilities for image segmentation;the extracted landslide object candidates are then optimized using rule-based *** the result validation section,the landslide detection of the proposed integration of the ResU-Net with a rule-based classification of OBIA is compared with that of the ResU-Net *** proposed approach improves the mean intersection-over-union of the resulting map from the ResU-Net by more than 22%.

The multi-robot systems(MRS)exploration and fire searching problem is an important application of mobile robots which require massive computation capability that exceeds the ability of traditional MRS′*** paper propose a cloud-based hybrid decentralized partially observable semi-Markov decision process(HDec-POSMDPs)*** proposed model is implemented for MRS exploration and fire searching application based on the Internet of things(IoT)cloud robotics *** this implementation the heavy and expensive computational tasks are offloaded to the cloud *** proposed model achieves a significant improvement in the computation burden of the whole task relative to a traditional *** proposed model is applied to explore and search for fire objects in an unknown environment;using different sets of robots *** preliminary evaluation of this implementation demonstrates that as the parallelism of computational instances increase the delay of new actuation commands which will be decreased,the mean time of task completion is decreased,the number of turns in the path from the start pose cells to the target cells is minimized and the energy consumption for each robot is reduced.

Radiolarites have an important role in the reconstruction of the paleogeography, bathymetry and their coexistence with ophiolites gives an opportunity to determine the tectonic his- tory of collisional zones. The radiolarite units of the southwestern Neyriz are part of the Zagros ac- cretionary prism and positioned beneath the thick bedded carbonate sediments of Tarbur Forma- tion. The existing various structural elements within this unit give a unique fortunate for investiga- tion on the deformation history and studying of the kinematics of the Zagros collision zone. The nu- merous evidence show that this unit has experienced different deformation conditions during ongo- ing evolution, including ductile, brittle-ductile and brittle deformation conditions. The main strike of E-W for axial planes of folds, eastward trend and plunge of fold axes, boudins＇ neck axes and Type III of the fold interference patterns are indicators of formation and evolution of folds during tran- spressional deformation. Structural evolution of the study area has been affected by an NE-dipping subduction zone of Neo-Tethyan oceanic lithosphere below the Iranian microcontinents. These structural elements suggest that high mechanical anisotropy and two successive generations of fold- ing simultaneously with thrusting and extrusion of this unit had led to formation and evolution of this highly asymmetrical folded unit on top of the subducted oceanic crust.

Effect of thermo-mechanical properties of PIM feedstock on compacts shape retention during debinding process

The removal of the binder from the powder compacts (debinding) can be a slow step and a source of problems. To improve the debinding process of powder injection molding operation, it’s necessary to understand the thermal and mechanical properties of powder injection molding feedstocks and to find the major causes responsible for molding difficulties and compacts shape retention during debinding process. The effects of thermo mechanical properties of the PIM feedstock on the compacts shape retention during debinding process were discussed and explained from practical point of view. The results indicate that the heat of fusion affects the cooling time. The binder component with high heat of fusion and high decomposed temperature is more effective as the second binder component for the compact to retain its shape during debinding.

Crowd management and analysis(CMA)systems have gained a lot of interest in the vulgarization of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)*** tracking using UAVs is among the most important services provided by a *** this paper,we studied the periodic crowd-tracking(PCT)*** consists in usingUAVs to follow-up crowds,during the life-cycle of an open crowded area(OCA).Two criteria were considered for this *** first is related to the CMA initial investment,while the second is to guarantee the quality of service(QoS).The existing works focus on very specified assumptions that are highly committed to CMAs applications *** study outlined a new binary linear programming(BLP)model to optimally solve the PCT motivated by a real-world application study taking into consideration the high level of *** closely approach different real-world contexts,we carefully defined and investigated a set of parameters related to the OCA characteristics,behaviors,and theCMAinitial infrastructure investment(e.g.,UAVs,charging stations(CSs)).In order to periodically update theUAVs/crowds andUAVs/CSs assignments,the proposed BLP was integrated into a linear algorithm called PCTs *** main objective was to study the PCT problem fromboth theoretical and numerical *** prove the PCTs solver effectiveness,we generated a diversified set of PCTs instances with different scenarios for simulation *** empirical results analysis enabled us to validate the BLPmodel and the PCTs solver,and to point out a set of new challenges for future research directions.

Development of Cd-doped Co Nanoparticles Encapsulated in Graphite Shell as Novel Electrode Material for the Capacitive Deionization Technology

Because of the low energy requirement and the environmentally safe byproducts, the capacitive deionization water desalination technology has attracted the attention of many researchers. The important requirements for electrode materials are good electrical conductivity, high surface area, good chemical stability and high specific capacitance. In this study, metallic nanoparticles that are encapsulated in a graphite shell(Cd doped Co/C NPs) are introduced as the new electrode material for the capacitive deionization process because they have higher specific capacitance than the pristine carbonaceous materials. Cd doped Co/C NPs perform better than graphene and the activated carbon. The introduced nanoparticles were synthesized using a simple sol gel technique. A typical sol gel composed of cadmium acetate, cobalt acetate and poly(vinyl alcohol)was prepared based on the polycondensation property of the acetates. The physiochemical characterizations that were used confirmed that the drying, grinding and calcination in an Ar atmosphere of the prepared gel produced the Cd doped Co nanoparticles, which were encapsulated in a thin graphite layer. Overall, the present study suggests a new method to effectively use the encapsulated bimetallic nanostructures in the capacitive deionization technology.
