East Japan Railway Company(JR East)is aiming to“realize driverless train operation”as one of the key measures to respond to rapid changes in the business ***,Automatic Train Operation(ATO)equipment is not installed on the Shinkansen,but there are plans to introduce ATO or driverless operation in the near *** 2018-2021,the Ministry of Land,Infrastructure,Transport and Tourism(MLIT)held the“ATO Technology Study Group for Railways”in which the concept of technical requirements necessary for driverless operation was *** 2021,JR East conducted the GOA4 demonstration test on the Joetsu *** this test,we were able to confirm the basic functions of Shinkansen vehicles such as automatic departure control,speed control,fixed position stop control,and remote stop control using *** aim to realize unattended operation(GOA4)for deadhead trains between Niigata Station and the Niigata Shinkansen Rolling Stock Center by the end of the 2020 s,and driverless operation(GOA3)for passenger trains of the Joetsu Shinkansen by the mid-2030s and continue to develop the necessary technologies and build systems.

Both Socrates and Mozi are said in Plato＇s dialogues and in the Mozi respectively to have claimed that they are living a sort of life following superhuman ＂intention＂： Socrates according to the Delphic oracle, and Mozi the intention of heaven. Some modern philosophers show discomfort with their ＂superstitious＂ attitudes, taking the claims literally as a kind of groundless devotion, while others conjecture ＂sensible＂ purposes to understand the mystic elements as providing moral lessons. This paper, by responding to these modern revisions of their doctrines, aims at highlighting the necessity of their （re-）introductions of superhuman perspectives to their inquiries. Through examining the similarities in Plato＇s and Mohists＇ demonstrations, the suggestion made will be that despite countless incommensurable features, heaven＇s intention for Mohists offers a fundamental philosophical basis which enables them to develop arguments by means of sharp dichotomies, what is right or wrong, in the same way that Socrates in the Apology and in the Hippias Minor does for the development of Plato＇s constructive endeavour beyond his Socratic a/euporetic legacy. Not only are their practices dependent on the presupposition of the existence of a perspective beyond humans, but also the reality of that perspective is established though their own investigative practices.

Power Doppler ultrasonographic assessment of the ankle in patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases

Ankle involvement is frequent in patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, but accurate evaluation by physical examination is often difficult because of the complex anatomical structures of the ankle. Over the last decade, ultrasound(US) has become a practical imaging tool for the assessment of articular and periarticular pathologies, including joint synovitis, tenosynovitis, and enthesitis in rheumatic diseases. Progress in power Doppler(PD) technology has enabled evaluation of the strength of ongoing inflammation. PDUS is very useful for identifying the location and kind of pathologies in rheumatic ankles as well as for distinguishing between inflammatory processes and degenerative changes or between active inflammation and residual damage. The aim of this paper is to illustrate the US assessment of ankle lesions in patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus, focusing on the utility of PDUS.

This paper discusses how the literature was created based on the experiences of the ＂Educated Youth＂ in the reform and opening-up era. Firstly, the author summarizes the network and literary activities of the Educated Youth. Second, he analyzes the poetry of literary magazines that they expressed their own experiences in the reform era, and thirdly, he discusses the trial by the magazine＇s editorial staff to describe their experiences in fiction and its difficulties. Furthermore, this paper examines the origin of Chinese literature on 198os, especially the origin of modernism literature in China.

Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage remains devastating,and the most important determinant of poor outcome is early brain injury（EBI）.In clinical settings,as a surrogate marker of EBI,loss of consciousness at ictus,poor initial clinical grades,and some radiographic findings are used,but these markers are somewhat ***,it is imperative to find biomarkers of EBI that have beneficial prognostic and therapeutic *** our opinion,an ideal biomarker is a molecule that is implicated in the pathogenesis of both EBI and subsequently developing delayed cerebral ischemia（DCI）,being a therapeutic target,and can be measured easily in the peripheral blood in an acute stage.A good candidate of such a biomarker is a matricellular protein,which is a secreted,inducible and multifunctional extracellular matrix *** are many kinds of matricellular proteins reported,but only tenascin-C,osteopontin,galectin-3 and periostin are reported relevant to EBI and *** biomarkers of EBI may stratify aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage patients into categories of risk to develop DCI,and allow objective monitoring of the response to treatment for EBI and earlier diagnosis of *** review emphasizes that further investigation of matricellular proteins as an avenue for biomarker discovery is warranted.

Effect of stirring on preparation of hollow copolymer particles by alkali/cooling method

Hollow particles were prepared by the treatment of styrene-metbacrylic acid copolymer particles with alkali/cooling method. The influences of stirring position （in aqueous phase or at the interface of O/W） and stirring speed （90, 110 and 240 r/min） on the formation of hollow particles were investigated. It is found that the soft stirring in aqueous phase at 90 r/min leads to the formation of monohollow particles, while the violent stirring at the interface of O/W and 240 r/min gives non-hollow products. In contrast, the weak stirring in aqueous phase at 110 r/min results in sterically heterogeneous dispersion of methacrylic acid-rich regions within the original particles, and hence the formation of multihollow particles. Further investigation indicates that the change of stirring efficiency provides a way to tune the diffusion behavior of monomer styrene, and therefore influences the distribution of methacrylic acid units in the original particles as well as the morphology of the treated particles.

Variation in Texture and Lankford Value of 1070 Aluminum Sheet Rolled by Cone-shaped Roll

A rolling with cone-shaped roll, the diameter of which continuously varies along the axial direction, has been proposed as a new shear rolling for controlling the texture of an aluminum alloy sheet. In this study, variations in the texture and Lankford value of a 1070 aluminum sheet rolled by the cone-shaped roll were investigated. Rolling with the cone-shaped roll was found to impose intense shear strain at the edges of the specimen, specifically near the surface. The shear directions in the left and right portions of the specimen were opposite to each other. The surface and middle layer of the specimen rolled by the cone-shaped roll and the reference specimen were characterized by a shear texture and typical recrystallization texture components, respectively. Notably, the specimen rolled by the cone-shaped roll exhibited smaller texture intensity than the reference specimen, especially at the surface, and the shear texture-components were observed at relatively deeper positions. As a result of Lankford value measurements, the specimen rolled with the cone-shape roll exhibited a smaller planar anisotropy than the reference specimen and an average Lankford value close to unity, which are likely due to the texture modifications introduced during rolling with the cone-shaped roll.

Magnetic Properties of Nd-Fe-B Sintered Magnet Powders Recovered by Yb Metal Vapor Sorption

Fine ground powders of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet bulks (particle size=46～125 μm in diameter) were coated and alloyed with Yb metal by sorbing them. A significant recovery of the decreased magnetic properties of the ground powders (remanence B r=～0.95 T, coercivity H cj =～227 kA·m -1 and maximum energy product (BH) max=～48 8 kJ·m -3) was observed in accordance with increasing temperature up to 800 ℃. The sorbing temperature and time for Yb metal vapor were optimized and after heating at 800 ℃ for 90 min and annealing subsequently at 610 ℃ for 60 min, the B r, H cj and (BH) max values were increased to be 0.98 T, 712 kA·m -1 and 173 kJ·m -3, respectively. From the microstructural characterizations of resulting samples by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electron probe X-ray microanalyzer (EPMA), it is found that the sorbed Yb metal uniformly covers the surface and diffuses to the Nd-rich grain boundary of fine ground powders of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet bulks forming a (Nd,Yb)Fe 2 phase.
