Various compositions of cobalt and sulfur co-doped titania nano-photocatalyst are synthesized via sol–gel method. A number of techniques including X-ray diffraction（XRD）, ultraviolet–visible（UV–Vis）, Rutherford backscattering spectrometry（RBS）, thermal gravimetric analysis（TGA）Raman, N2 sorption, electron microscopy are used to examine composition, crystalline phase, morphology, distribution of dopants, surface area and optical properties o synthesized materials. The synthesized materials consisted of quasispherical nanoparticles of anatase phase exhibiting a high surface area and homogeneous distribution o dopants. Cobalt and sulfur co-doped titania demonstrated remarkable structural and optical properties leading to an efficient photocatalytic activity for degradation of dyes and phenol under visible light irradiations. Moreover, the effect of dye concentration catalyst dose and p H on photodegradation behavior of environmental pollutants and recyclability of the catalyst is also examined to optimize the activity of nano-photocatalys and gain a better understanding of the process.

Objective:To evaluate in vitro antioxidant and antibacterial activity of methanolic extract of Arnebia benthamii（***） whole ***:Plasmid damage was analyzed by agarose gell *** thymus DNA was monitored by TBARS ***, reducing power and lipid peroxidation was evaluated by using standard *** assay was monitored by disc diffusion ***:DPPH radical scavenging and hydroxyl radical scavenging potential of the plant revealed that the extract to be active radical ***(Fe3+-Fe2+) power and lipid peroxidation inhibition efficiency（TBARS assay） of the extract was also evaluated and the extract showed promising activity in preventing lipid peroxidation and might prevent oxidative damages to *** extract offered a significant protection against plasmid and calf thymus UNA damage induced by hydroxyl radicals. The extract was also evaluated on different bacterial strains and the maximum antibacterial activity was exhibited against Escherichia coli（***） when compared with standard drug. Conclusions:These findings demonstrate that the methanol extract of *** has excellent anti-oxidant activities and could be considered as a potential source of lead molecules for pharmaceutical industries.

Resveratrol is a known anti-oxidant and anti-cancer *** low bioavailability and poor water solubility of resveratrol is a major barrier that restricts its usage in food *** overcome these problems,the study presents micro and nano encapsulation of resveratrol in casein micelles extracted from Himalayan cheese(Churpi).Resveratrol loaded casein microparticles(CS-rm)were obtained using emulsion-freeze ***,resveratrol loaded casein nanoparticles(CS-rn)were obtained using *** were characterized using dynamic light scattering(DLS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and attenuated total reflectance-fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR).DLS revealed hydrodynamic diameter of 71.24μm and 387.023 nm and zeta potential of-22.62 and-28.08 mV for CS-rm and *** confirmed the characteristic peaks of resveratrol at 965.4,1380.86,1586.66 and 1607 cm-1 confirmed successful micro and ***-rm displayed high encapsulation efficiency(52.32%)and swelling power(77.90 at pH 3 and 68.65 at pH 7.5)than *** micro and nanoencapsulation protected resveratrol in gastric conditions,however,CS-rn showed high release of resveratrol then CS-rm in simulated intestinal *** anti-oxidant and anti-cancer activity of resveratrol under simulated gastric and intestinal conditions(SGID)was significantly higher(p≤0.05)for CS-rn,showing that nanoencapsulation improved release and nutraceutical profile of *** loaded nano and micro casein particles can be used a source of fortified protein supplement in growing food and nutraceutical industry.

Tahini halvah is specific confectionery product known in Bosnia and Herzegovina over centuries. It is made of sesame-seed paste （tahini）, sugar and soapwort （Saponaria officinalis） extract by certain technological process, with creating needle-like particles which give a specific fiber structure to halvah. Production of tahini halvah in Bosnia and Herzegovina mostly was placed under artisanal conditions by poorly trained staff and was based on experiences and established practice. There is a very few scientific papers deal with ways of production and specific properties of this product in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Main objective of this paper was focused on studying technological process of 4 different samples of tahini halvah （standard tahini halvah, tahini halvah with pistachios, tahini halvah with cacao and black halvah with wheat grits, cacao and nuts）. All samples were produced under industrial conditions. Chemical and sensory quality parameters of investigated samples were presented in this paper. Significant differences between samples were found and influenced by different ingredients and technological process.

Impact of the antiproliferative agent ciclopirox olamine treatment on stem cells proteome

AIM:To investigate the proteome changes of stem cells due to ciclopirox olamine (CPX) treatment compared to control and retinoic acid treated cells. METHODS:Stem cells (SCs) are cells, which have the ability to continuously divide and differentiate into various other kinds of cells. Murine embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and multipotent adult germline stem cells (maG-SCs) were treated with CPX, which has been shown to have an antiproliferative effect on stem cells, and compared to stem cells treated with retinoic acid (RA),which is known to have a differentiating effect on stem cells. Classical proteomic techniques like 2-D gel electrophoresis and differential in-gel electrophoresis (DIGE) were used to generate 2D protein maps from stem cells treated with RA or CPX as well as from non-treated stem cells. The resulting 2D gels were scanned and the digitalized images were collated with the help of Delta 2D software. The differentially expressed proteins were analyzed by a MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometer, and the identified proteins were investigated and categorized using bioinformatics. RESULTS:Treatment of stem cells with CPX, a synthetic antifungal clinically used to treat superficial mycoses, resulted in an antiproliferative effect in vitro, without impairment of pluripotency. To understand the mechanisms induced by CPX treatments which results in arrest of cell cycle without any marked effect on pluripotency, a comparative proteomics study was conducted. The obtained data revealed that the CPX impact on cell proliferation was accompanied with a significant alteration in stem cell proteome. By peptide mass fingerprinting and tandem mass spectrometry combined with searches of protein sequence databases, a set of 316 proteins was identified, corresponding to a library of 125 non-redundant proteins. With proteomic analysis of ESCs and maGSCs treated with CPX and RA, we could identify more than 90 single proteins, which were differently expressed in both cell lines. We cou
