Stator Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motor Based on Discrete Wavelet Analysis and Neural Network Technique

A novel approach by introducing a statistical parameter to estimate the severity of incipient stator inter-turn short circuit(ITSC)faults in induction motors(IMs)is *** the incipient ITSC fault and its severity is challenging for several *** stator currents in the healthy and faulty cases are highly similar during the primary stage of the ***,the conventional statistical parameters resulting from the analysis of fault signals do not consistently show a systematic variation with respect to the increase in fault *** objective of this study is the early detection of incipient ITSC ***,it aims to determine the percentage of shorted turns in the faulty phase,which acts as an indicator for severe damage to the stator *** of the motor in healthy and defective cases is performed using the Clarke Concordia transform.A discrete wavelet transform is applied to the motor currents using a Daubechies-8 *** statistical parameters L1 and L2 norms are computed for the detailed *** parameters are obtained under a variety of loads and defects to acquire the most accurate and generalized features related to the *** L1 and L2 norms creates a novel statistical parameter with notable characteristics to achieve the research *** artificial neural network-based back propagation algorithm is employed as a classifier to implement the classification *** classifier output defines the percentage of defective turns with a high level of *** competency of the adopted methodology is validated via simulations and *** results confirm the merits of the proposed method,with a classification test correctness of 95.29%.

Designing electrocatalysts for HER in alkaline conditions to overcome the sluggish kinetics associated with the additional water dissociation step is a recognized challenge in promoting the hydrogen *** this end,delicately tuning the atomic-scale structure and surface composition of nanoparticles is a common strategy and,specifically,making use of hybrid structures,can produce synergistic effects that lead to highly active ***,we present a core-shell catalyst of Ag@MoS_(2)that shows promising results towards the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in both 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4)and 0.5 M *** this hybrid structure,the MoS_(2)shell is strained and defective,and charge transfer occurs between the conductive core and the shell,contributing to the electrocatalytic *** shelling process results in a large fraction of Ag_(2)S in the cores,and adjusting the relative fractions of Ag,Ag_(2)S,and MoS_(2)leads to improved catalytic activity and fast charge-transfer *** suggest that the enhancement of alkaline HER is associated with a cooperative effect of the interfaces,where the Ag(Ⅰ)sites in Ag_(2)S drive the water dissociation step,and the formed hydrogen subsequently recombines on the defective MoS_(2)*** study demonstrates the benefits of hybrid structures as functional nanomaterials and provides a scheme to activate MoS_(2)for HER in alkaline conditions.

Alcohol related costs to health and society are high. One of the most serious complications of alcohol misuse to the individual is the development of alcoholic hepatitis (AH), a clinical syndrome of jaundice and progressive inflammatory liver injury in patients with a history of recent heavy alcohol use. It has a poor outcome and few existing successful therapies. The use of glucocorticoids in patients with severe AH is still controversial and there remains a group of patients with glucocorticoid-resistant disease. However, as our understanding of the pathogenesis of the condition improves there are opportunities to develop new targeted therapies with specific actions to control liver inflammation without having a detrimental effect on the immune system as a whole. In this article we review the molecular mechanisms of AH concentrating on the activation of the innate and adaptive immune response. We consider existing treatments including glucocorticoids, anti-tumor necrosis factor therapy and pentoxifylline and their limitations. Using our knowledge of the disease pathogenesis we discuss possible novel therapeutic approaches. New targets include pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-17, chemokines and their receptors (for example IL-8, CXCL9 and CXCR3) and augmentation of anti-inflam- matory molecules such as IL-10 and IL-22. And there is also future potential to consider combination therapy to selectively modulate the immune response and gain control of disease.

Aim and objective Tongue source skeletal dento-maxillofacial open bite deformities have shown high degree of post treatment relapse and degradation. This thesis is about the combination of glossectomy and surgical correction of dento-facial deformities. The outcome of such a combination was stability over a period of6years. Methods The surgical procedure consists of a bimaxiliary osteotomy and maxillary fragmentation if required. Reduction of the lower anterior facial height is achieved by maxillary rotation, closure of the gonial angle and genioplasty. The type of glossectomy performed is median-rhomboid hence reducing the volume while having a lingual proprioceptive action at the same time. Result and conclusion The physiopathology of skeletal dento-maxillofacial Class Ⅲ open bite deformities is very complex in nature. Genetic factors dominate as the growth of the individual is compromised and lingual dysfunction affects the severity of the deformity. The combination of facial bone corrective surgery and glossectomy helps to reduce the risks of recurrence.

Liver transplantation(LT)is a life-saving surgical procedure and the current standard of care for most patients with end stage liver *** improvements in organ preservation techniques,perioperative care,and immunosuppression,there is better patient and graft survival following LT,and assessment of the liver allograft in long-term survivors is becoming increasingly *** or de novo viral or autoimmune injury remains the most common causes of chronic hepatitis and fibrosis following liver transplantation in ***,no obvious cause can be identified in many adults with controlled recurrent disease and the majority of pediatric LT recipients,as they have been transplanted for non-recurrent liver *** surveillance liver biopsies post LT have been evaluated in several adult and pediatric centers to identify long-term pathological *** findings are frequently present in liver biopsies obtained after a year post *** significance of these findings is uncertain as many of these are seen in protocol liver biopsies from patients with clinically good allograft function and normal liver chemistry *** narrative review summaries the factors predisposing to long-term liver allograft fibrosis,highlighting the putative role of idiopathic post-LT hepatitis and chronic antibody mediated rejection in its pathogenesis.

Drug use during pregnancy is not ***-induced liver injury(DILI)is a potential complication that is rare but can adversely affect both the mother and the *** many drugs can directly cause hepatotoxicity,idiosyncratic liver injury is common in *** of adverse drug reactions,lack of adequate literature regarding drug safety in pregnancy,and the inherent difficulty in diagnosing DILI during pregnancy make the management of this condition *** review attempts to describe the existing literature regarding DILI in pregnancy,which is mainly in the form of case reports;several studies have looked at the safety of antithyroid drugs,antiretroviral drugs,and paracetamol,which have an indication for use in pregnancy;the relevant data from these studies with regard to DILI has been *** addition,the review describes the diagnosis of DILI,grading the disease severity,assessment of causality linking the drug to the adverse event,regulatory guidelines for evaluating the potential of drugs to cause liver injury,efforts to ensure better participation of women in clinical trials and studies in pregnant women population in particular,and the challenges involved in generating adequate research *** establishment of DILI registries in various countries is an encouraging development;however,there is a need for promoting active,spontaneous reporting of adverse events during pregnancy to ensure rapid generation of evidence regarding the safety of a drug in pregnant women.

Outcomes and complications of operative versus non-operative treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture： a meta-analysis

Background There is lack of consensus regarding the best option for the treatment of acute Achilles tendon rupture- operation or non-operation. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to identify and summarize the randomized controlled trials comparing the operative and non-operative lines of treatment of acute Achilles tendon ruptures. Methods We searched multiple databases in English （including EMBASE, PubMed, and OVID） and in Chinese （including CNKI, WANFANG, and VIP）, as well as reference lists of articles and main orthopaedic and sports medical journals. Two reviewers independently screened the studies for eligibility, evaluated the quality and extracted data from eligible studies, with confirmation by cross-checking. The major results and conclusions were concluded, and the different complication rates and functional outcomes were compared. Meta-analysis was processed by RevMan 5.0 software. Results Eight randomized controlled trials （RCTs） involving 777 patients met the inclusion criteria. The rerupture rate in non-operative group was significantly higher （Z=3.33, P 〈0.01）. However, the moderate （Z--4.27, P 〈0.01） and minor （Z--5.59, P 〈0.01） complication rate in the operative group were significantly higher. No significant difference in comparing the major and total complication rates. The return to work time in the operative group was shorter （Z=2.65, P 〈0.01）. The inability to return to previous level sporting rate and ankle joint decreased range of motion （ROM） rate showed no significant difference in the two groups. Other functional outcomes were similar in the two groups. Conclusions Operation could significantly reduce the risk of rerupture; however, it was associated with a higher risk of other complications. The functional outcomes were similar in two treatment methods except an earlier return to work in patients treated operatively. Thus operative treatment is preferable for patients with good physical condition. Non-operative treatment is an acceptab

Sustainable agroforestry recommends use of more biologicals including microorganisms for the cultivation of *** officinalis is an important forest tree species commonly used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine for curing several human ailments.A glass house study was conducted to evaluate the effect of inoculation with the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus(AMF)Claroideoglomus etunicatum and 5 different plant growth promoting rhizomicroorganisms(PGPR)singly and in combination on the growth of Phyllanthus emblica(amla)*** result brought out that single inoculation with AMF *** is the best compared to all other treatments in improving the growth of amla *** performance of this microbial inoculation was later evaluated through large scale forest nursery trials at 3 locations with 500 inoculated and 500 uninoculated amla seedlings at each *** results of the large scale forest nursery trials validated the results of the glass house *** increase in biovolume index(BI)of inoculated plants,which indicates the quality of seedlings,was 49%(average of 3 locations)compared to uninoculated *** inoculated seedlings under large scale nursery trials were planted in wastelands at 2 locations and their establishment was *** BI of inoculated seedlings was 66%more(average of 2 locations)compared to uninoculated seedlings.
