This paper presents a further improved Production Activity Control Architecture to deal with the complexity of information by creating Sub-Producers and Sub-Movers which will not only give a better control at workstation level but also reduce load on the Dispatcher. It also makes an analysis of the basic and improved PAC (Production Activity Control) Architecture in the Control System for Integrated Manufacturing. The PAC Architecture and the improvement will further enhance the flexibility and adaptability of the architecture in the ever changing environment of the Shop Floor Control (SFC) Systems.

The friction force opposing the onset of motion of a drop on a solid surface is typically considered to be a material property for a fixed drop volume on a given ***,here we show that even for a fixed drop volume,the static friction force can be tuned by over 30%by preshaping the *** static friction usually exceeds the kinetic friction that the drop experiences when moving in a steady *** forces converge when the drop is prestretched in the direction of motion or when the drop shows low contact angle *** contrast to static friction,kinetic friction is independent of preshaping the drop,that is,the drop *** friction forces reflect the material properties.

Farmer Field School (FFS) is a capacity building approach in the Agricultural Extension Approaches (AEA), which provides opportunities to farmers of improving various skills through practicing various techniques by themselves. The review paper is in 2015 to analyze FFS as a strategy for benefiting resource poor farmers from agricultural technologies in Pakistan. Keeping in view the importance of exchange of information, FFS approach is the only approach to agriculture extension in which communication is an integral component because after trained by FFS program and to be expected to become a local agent to deliver the information and techniques of agriculture to other farmers for enhancing the agricultural production, income and improved livelihood. It can be concluded from the study that FFS proves highly beneficial to the farming community due to its capacity building functions.

Corner cube retroreflectors(CCRs)have applications in sensors,image processing,free space communication and wireless *** ability to construct low-loss wavelength filters embedded in CCRs can enable the development of wavelength multiplexing,tunable lasers and photonic integrated *** we created an~10-μm-thick holographic corner cube retroreflector(HCCR)array that acted as a color-selective wavelength filter and diffracted light at broad ***-resolved spectral measurements showed that the Bragg peak of the diffracted light from the HCCR array could be tuned from 460 to 545 nm by varying the incident *** HCCR array also exhibited a wavelength-selective tuning capability based on the rotation angle in the visible *** projected holographic images with the rotational property in the far *** utility of the HCCR was demonstrated as optical temperature and relative humidity sensors that produced a visible colorimetric response for rapid diagnostics.

High resolution colonoscopy in a bowel cancer screening program improves polyp detection

AIM： To compare high resolution colonoscopy （Olympus Lucera） with a megapixel high resolution system （Pentax HiLine） as an in-service evaluation. METHODS： Polyp detection rates and measures of performance were collected for 269 colonoscopy procedures. Five colonoscopists conducted the study over a three month period, as part of the United Kingdom bowel cancer screening program. RESULTS：There were no differences in procedure duration （x^2 p = 0.98）, caecal intubation rates （x^2 P = 0.67）, or depth of sedation （x^2 P = 0.64）. Mild discomfort was more common in the Pentax group （x^2 p = 0.036）. Adenoma detection rate was significantly higher in the Pentax group （x^2 test for trend P = 0.01）. Most of the extra polyps detected were flat or sessile adenomas. CONCLUSION： Megapixel definition colonoscopes improve adenoma detection without compromising other measures of endoscope performance. Increased polyp detection rates may improve future outcomes in bowel cancer screening programs.

AIMTo evaluate efficacy/safety of hepatitis C virus (HCV) protease inhibitor boceprevir with pegylated interferon (PEG-IFN) alfa and weight-based ribavirin (RBV) in a phase 3 trial. METHODSA prospective, multicenter, phase 3, open-label, single-arm study of PEG-IFN alfa, weight-based RBV, and boceprevir, with a PEG-IFN/RBV lead-in phase was performed. The HCV/human immunodeficiency virus coinfected study population included treatment naïve (TN) and treatment experienced (TE) patients. Treatment duration ranged from 28 to 48 wk dependent upon response-guided criteria. All patients had HCV Genotype 1 with a viral load > 10000 IU/mL. Compensated cirrhosis was allowed. Sample size was determined to establish superiority to historical (PEG-IFN plus RBV) rates in sustained viral response (SVR). RESULTSA total of 257 enrolled participants were analyzed (135 TN and 122 TE). In the TN group, 81.5% were male and 54.1% were black. In the TE group, 76.2% were male and 47.5% were white. Overall SVR12 rates (HCV RNA P = 0.002). Among the TN, SVR12 was 42.1% among whites and 27.4% among blacks (P = 0.09). CONCLUSIONThe trial met its hypothesis of improved SVR compared to historical controls but overall SVR rates were low. All-oral HCV treatments will mitigate these difficulties.

The instant study was conducted to estimate the Model Farm Services Center’s (MFSC) contribution in yield improvement of major crops/vegetables in district Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, during the year 2014-15. Based on Sekaran sampling technique 306 respondents were selected and were personally interviewed through well prepared and pre-tested interview schedule. To find out the actual performance of yield improvement by Model Farm Services Center along with other repressors, step by step analysis was performed. The results of Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed significant improvement in yield of sugarcane, wheat, maize, rice and tomato by Model Farm Services Center. Pearson’s correlation coefficient showed highly significant positive relation of sugarcane and wheat yield difference before and after Model Farm Services Center registration with MFSC. Ordinary Least Square Multiple-Regression Model indicates that MFSC registration duration and landholding significantly define the variation in dependent variables at 1% and 5% level of significance respectively for sugarcane yield. Whereas solely Model Farm Services Center registration duration profoundly highly significantly (P ≤ 0.01) explains the variation in dependent variables in wheat yield.

Application of biochar to agricultural soils is mostly used to improve soil *** treatments were comprised of two factors:i)drought at two level,i.e.,80%and 40%water holding capacity(WHC)which was maintained on gravimetric basis ii)three levels of biochar i.e.,control,2 t ha^(-1) and 4 t ha^(-1) added to *** was done to examine potential of biochar application to enhance the growth attributes,water relations,photosynthetic pigments and antioxidants activities in maize(Zea mays L.)*** of study revealed that biochar application increased the growth qualities(total seedlings biomass,dry weight of shoot and root,shoot length and root length).In addition;contents of photosynthetic pigments(chlorophyll a,b,a+b and a/b),water relation(relative water contents,turgor potential,osmotic potential and water potential)were improved significantly due to addition of *** of 4 t ha^(-1) biochar led to significant rise activity of enzymatic antioxidant catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)in leaf of maize seedling sunder drought as well as well watered ***,biochar applied at the rate 4 t ha^(-1) improved the all the physiological and biochemical attributes in maize seedlings under *** the results it was concluded that biochar application is an efficient way to alleviate adverse effect of drought stress on *** drought prone areas,long term impacts of biochar on production of maize and properties of soil could be recommended as upcoming shove.

BACKGROUND The management of metastatic progressive radioiodine-resistant differentiated thyroid cancer remains challenging for *** availability of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs),sorafenib and lenvatinib,within the last decade has expanded treatment options;however,these lead to significant adverse effects,which may curtail their *** SUMMARY We report the case of a 47-year-old female with Hurthle cell thyroid cancer who underwent total thyroidectomy followed by radioiodine *** followup,she developed noniodine-avid renal and pulmonary *** respect to her pre-existing diabetes,hypertension,and polycystic kidney disease,the tumor board decided against performing renal metastasectomy because of the risk of future renal decline requiring *** were treated using sorafenib,which provided stability followed by progression within a *** switched to lenvatinib,which led to disease ***,the patient experienced severe adverse effects,including cardiomyopathy,bicytopenia,renal impairment,and the rarely reported nephrotic *** metastasis is a rare manifestation of Hurthle cell thyroid cancer with only two reported cases in *** report the experience of our first case of renal metastasis and its treatment with *** case serves as a reminder of the adverse drug reactions associated with TKI *** We advocate close monitoring of patients’hematological and renal profiles as well as their cardiac status using an echocardiogram.
