Deep learning has evolved as a strong and efficient framework that can be applied to a broad spectrum of complex learning problems which were difficult to solve using the traditional machine learning techniques in the *** advancement of deep learning has been so radical that today it can surpass human‐level *** a consequence,deep learning is being extensively used in most of the recent day‐to‐day ***,efficient deep learning systems can be jeopardised by using crafted adversarial samples,which may be imperceptible to the human eye,but can lead the model to misclassify the *** recent times,different types of adversaries based on their threat model leverage these vulnerabilities to compromise a deep learning system where adversaries have high ***,it is extremely important to provide robustness to deep learning algorithms against these ***,there are only a few strong countermeasures which can be used in all types of attack scenarios to design a robust deep learning ***,the authors attempt to provide a detailed discussion on different types of adversarial attacks with various threat models and also elaborate on the efficiency and challenges of recent countermeasures against them.

The purpose of this research is to obtain the optimum cutting parameters to achieve the dimensional accuracy of Nimonic alloy miniature gear manufactured using Wire *** cutting parameters investigated in this study are current,pulse on time(PON),pulse off time(POFF),wire tension(WT)and dielectric *** glycol,nanopowder of alumina and oxygen are mixed to demineralized water to prepare novel dielectric *** in inner diameter,deviation in outer diameter,deviation in land and deviation in tooth width are considered to check the dimensional *** L_(16) is employed for experimental design and multiple response optimization is performed using Entropy TOPSIS and Pareto *** indicate that pulse on time is the most notable parameter for good dimensional accuracy followed by dielectric fluid,current,pulse off time and wire *** glycol mixed demineralized water is preferred for low dimensional *** optimum WEDM parameters are pulse on time at 20μs,Ethylene glycol mixed demineralized water dielectric fluid,current at 3 A,pulse off time at 4μs,and wire tension at 18 N.

A mixed fruit beverage was formulated according to D-optimal mixture design using apple ber juice(X_(1),45-59%v/v)-an underexplored fruit,carambola juice(X_(2),1-20%v/v),and black table grape juice(X3,35-40%v/v).The crisp overall acceptability(COA)from 16 semi-trained panelists and overall hedonic score(OSH)from consumers were *** best formulation was apple ber:carambola:black table grape juices=59.0:3.5:37.5 v/v with COA and OSH values of 3.23(on a scale of 5)and 7.55(on a scale of 9),***,the efficacy of pulsed light(PL)(18-30 W cm^(-2) for 33-167 s;total fluence 600-5000 J cm^(-2))and thermal treatments(90℃ for 1-5 min)were studied on various attributes of the mixed *** beverages processed at 90℃ for 5 min(thermal treatment)and 5000 J cm^(-2)(PL treatment at 30 W cm^(-2) for 167 s)showed no microbial count with a complete enzyme *** thermally pasteurized sample(90℃/5 min)was more brown(browning index=70.15)than the PL pasteurized beverage(browning index=65.98).Interestingly,the PL pasteurized(5000 J cm^(-2))beverage showed 25%,27%,and 19% more vitamin C,antioxidants,and phenolic compounds,respectively,than the thermally pasteurized(90℃/5 min)*** PL-treated beverage had a greater sensory appeal than the thermally treated ***-treatment can be an efficient non-thermal pasteurization treatment for ensuring complete microbial and enzymatic inactivation with maximal retention of nutritional and sensory attributes of the blended beverage.

Equisetum(Equisetaceae)has long been a focus of attention for botanists and palaeontologists because,given its extensive and well-documented fossil record,it is considered the oldest extant vascular plant and a key element in understanding vascular plant ***,to date,no authentic fossil evidence of Equisetum has been found from the Indian ***,we describe a new fossil species,namely,*** ***.,recovered from the middle Siwalik(Late Miocene)sediments of Himachal Pradesh,western *** identified fossil specimens based on morphological and epidermal *** addition,X-Ray diffraction(XRD)analysis was used to determine the mineral composition of compressed stems of *** close affinity of our recovered Siwalik fossils to Equisetum is supported by the presence of both macromorphological and epidermal *** Equisetum generally grows in wet conditions around water reservoirs,our findings indicate that the fossil locality was humid and surrounded by swamp and lowland regions during *** fossil evidence indicates that this sphenopsid once existed in the western Himalaya during the Siwalik ***,at present Equisetum is confined to a particular area of our fossil locality,probably a consequence of severe environmental changes coupled with competition from opportunistic *** discovery of Equisetum fossils in appreciable numbers from the Siwalik sediments of the Himachal Himalayas is unique and constitutes the first reliable recognition of Equisetum from the Indian Cenozoic.

Fabrication of Bi_2O_3/TiO_2nanocomposites and their applications to the degradation of pollutants in air and water under visible-light

A nanoheterojunction composite photocatalyst Bi2O3/TiO2 working under visible-light （λ≥ 420 nm） was prepared by combining two semiconductors Bi2O3 and TiO2 varying the Bi2O3/TiO2 molar ratio. Maleic acid was employed as an organic binder to unite Bi2O3 and TiO2 nanoparticles. The SEM, TEM, XRD and diffuse reflectance spectra were utilized to characterize the prepared Bi2O3/TiO2 nanoheterojunction. The nanocomposite exhibited unusual high photocatalytic activity in decomposing 2-propanol in gas phase and phenol in aqueous phase and, evolution of CO2 under visible light irradiation while the end members exhibited low photocatalytic activity. The composite was optimized to 5 mol% Bi2O3/TiO2. The remarkable high photocatalytic efficiency originates from the unique relative energy band position of Bi2O3 and TiO2 as well as the absorption of visible light by Bi2O3.

Coronary arterydisease(CAD)has become a significant causeof heart attack,especially amongthose 40yearsoldor *** is a need to develop new technologies andmethods to deal with this *** researchers have proposed image processing-based solutions for CADdiagnosis,but achieving highly accurate results for angiogram segmentation is still a *** different types of angiograms are adopted for CAD *** paper proposes an approach for image segmentation using ConvolutionNeuralNetworks(CNN)for diagnosing coronary artery disease to achieve state-of-the-art *** have collected the 2D X-ray images from the hospital,and the proposed model has been applied to *** augmentation has been performed in this research as it’s the most significant task required to be initiated to increase the dataset’s ***,the images have been enhanced using noise removal techniques before being fed to the CNN model for segmentation to achieve high *** the output,different settings of the network architecture undoubtedly have achieved different accuracy,among which the highest accuracy of the model is 97.61%.Compared with the other models,these results have proven to be superior to this proposed method in achieving state-of-the-art results.

Large-signal characterizations of DDR IMPATT devices based on group Ⅲ–Ⅴ semiconductors at millimeter-wave and terahertz frequencies

Large-signal （L-S） characterizations of double-drift region （DDR） impact avalanche transit time （IM- PATT） devices based on group III-V semiconductors such as wurtzite （Wz） GaN, GaAs and InP have been carried out at both millimeter-wave （mm-wave） and terahertz （THz） frequency bands. A L-S simulation technique based on a non-sinusoidal voltage excitation （NSVE） model developed by the authors has been used to obtain the high frequency properties of the above mentioned devices. The effect of band-to-band tunneling on the L-S properties of the device at different mm-wave and THz frequencies are also investigated. Similar studies are also carried out for DDR IMPATTs based on the most popular semiconductor material, i.e. Si, for the sake of comparison. A compara- tive study of the devices based on conventional semiconductor materials （i.e. GaAs, InP and Si） with those based on Wz-GaN shows significantly better performance capabilities of the latter at both mm-wave and THz frequencies.

Soil Geomorphology of Garpanchkot Hill Area and Its Influence on Land Use and Land Cover

The present study is about to find out different attributes of soil as well as geomorphology. It is very much relevant to the study of land use land cover (LULC). Garpanchkot hill is situated in Purulia district of West Bengal. There are two geomorphological and seven pedological parameters that have been selected for the study. Shuttle radar topographic mission (SRTM) and advanced land observing satellite (ALOS) data are analyzed by remote sensing software to find out the geomorphological character of the area. There are twenty soil samples that have been taken from top of the hill to foothill pediment area with the change of elevation and slope for laboratory analysis. Different statistical techniques are used for representation. Foot hill area of the Garpanchkot hill can be determined by less than 150 m elevation and 5o slope. Elevation and slope of rest of the hill area (greater than 150 m and 5o) are fully dominated by forest and scattered vegetation. Elevated area (greater than 205 m) with less slope (10o - 15o) is associated with dense forest. Escarpment area is associated with grass land and scattered vegetation. Foothill area is bearing the signature of scattered vegetation, bare soil ground and agriculture. The richness of clay minerals plays an important role in the foothill pediment area for development of agriculture. Sandy loam is dominating soil texture in the rest of the hill area. Percentage of organic matter (1.8%), status of salinity (6.65 - 7.72) and alkalinity (up to 138.6 μs/cm) remain high in the high elevated area due to forest cover. The area is very dry, only fed by the rainfall during monsoon season. Artificial reservoir feeds the foothill agriculture system. Rice, wheat, maize, sugarcane, pulses chili and vegetables are the main crops of this area.
