目的:探究个人的购物出行模式随时间的变化差异性。探讨个人在星期中的天变化,量化多样化的特征和识别个体间的异质性。创新点:1.使用连续6周的数据进行动态交通行为分析;2.建立二元逻辑回归模型,识别个体间购物出行模式的异质性。方法:1.通过描述性统计分析,解析不同群体之间的购物行为的差异、每周购物天数的分布以及每周每人购物天数的标准偏差(表1、图1和2);2.通过回归模型分析,得出解释变量对购物地点和频率的影响结论(表2和3);3.构建二元逻辑回归模型,识别个体间购物出行模式的异质性,找出具有常规购物行为的群体(表4)。结论:1.低收入和卡尔斯鲁厄居住地对日常购物目的地的多样性呈正影响关系,而全职工作和男性对日常购物目的地的多样性呈负影响关系;2.连续6周的日常购物出行次数受到35~44岁的年龄范围、2500~2999德国马克的家庭月收入以及市中心居住地区的积极影响;3.购物地点和频率的多样性是随着个人属性和居住地点以系统的方式变化。

Anti-VDAC3 recombinant antibody decreased human sperm motility and membrane integrity: A potential spermicide for contraception

Objective:To express recombinant protein that comprises an important fragment of human sperm specific voltage dependent anion channel 3 (VDAC3) protein as a potential molecule for generation of antibody, which can affect sperm function, aiming at spermicide development. Methods: The produce of VDAC3 recombinant protein encoded by cDNA sequence of human VDAC3 exon 5-8, based on experimental design of VDAC3 knock-out mice study. And after the purification of various human sperm VDAC3 recombinant proteins, epitope has been predicted in our recombinant protein determined by ElliPro program. Polyclonal antibody was produced for 14 wk. Then anti-VDAC3-exon 5-8 recombinant antiserum was inoculated to human sperm. After the process, antibody VDAC3 protein in human sperm was incubation with anti-VDAC3 recombinant antibody. Finally evaluation the effect of VDAC3 antiserum to human sperm motility and plasma membrane integrity was ***: Human VDAC3 recombinant protein was successfully over-expressed in Escherichia coli and purified by affinity chromatography method. Purified human sperm VDAC3 recombinant protein could stimulate immune response in rabbit producing an antibody against VDAC3. Anti-VDAC3 recombinant antibody recognized VDAC3 antigen in human sperm could decrease human sperm motility and membrane integrity ***:Anti-VDAC3 recombinant polyclonal antibody that we produced in rabbit by ourselves could decrease sperm motility and sperm membrane integrity. The authors suggest this polyclonal antibody could be used as a candidate agent for male contraception in the future. Furthermore, the authors intend to explore the effect of this antibody into sperm function aiming at male contraceptive vaccine development.

Effects of vernal and allergic conjunctivitis on severity of keratoconus

AIM: To demonstrate the effects of two different types of allergic conjunctivitis on severity of keratoconus (KC). ·METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 171 KC patients referred between June 2010 and June 2011. The KC patients were divided into 3 groups as KC (group A), KC with vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) (group B) and KC with allergic conjunctivitis (AC) (group C). Main outcome measures were demographic and ocular clinical features including age at presentation, gender, spherical equivalent (SE), best spectacle corrected visual acuity (BCVA), mean keratometric measurement (Km), central corneal thickness (CCT), and intraocular pressure (IOP). Groups were compared in term of study variables. · RESULTS: The median age at presentation was significantly lower in group B (P <0.001). According to the median SE (P =0.003), BCVA(P =0.022), Km(P <0.001), CCT (P =0.015) and Amsler-Krumeich classification (P < 0.001), KC was more severe in group B. There was no significant difference in terms of IOP and corrected IOP among the groups (P =0.44), however there were 4 patients who had increased corrected IOP developed after topical corticosteroid use in group B. The differences among the groups persisted even after controlling for age and gender. · CONCLUSION: Our findings demonstrated a more severe KC in VKC patients despite their younger age which suggests evaluation of VKC patients as a separate group in keratoconus disease.

Oat (Avena sativa L.) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) vary in the structure of their inflores-cences and also in how pollination proceeds within the inflorescence. In both species the grain position in the spikelet determines grain weight potential. Primary grains in oat and proximal grains in wheat weigh more than secondary and distal grains. This variation in grain weight can potentially result from differences in post-pollination cell division in the grain. In this study pollination duration and dynamics were analyzed from head samples collected at two-day intervals, starting from the pollination of the most advanced floret. The number of grain cells was determined for individual grains throughout the inflorescence, starting from the pollination event. When mature, grain position in the spikelet and spike was noted and grain weight assessed. Pollination advance in oat proceeded from the uppermost primary floret towards the basal spikelets in ten to eleven days. Within the spikelet, the primary floret was pollinated on average one day earlier than the secondary floret. In wheat, pollination duration was four to five days, starting from the proximal florets in the mid-section of the inflorescence progressing towards the apical and basal spikelets. Proximal florets were pollinated one to two days earlier than distal florets. Maximum cell number in primary grains exceeded that of secondary grains in two oat cultivars. Similarly, primary grains were heavier than secondary grains. Cell number and single grain weight were correlated in terms of grain position in the spikelet (primary – secondary) and cultivar. Oat cultivar Belinda had a higher single grain weight than Fiia, which was also expressed as larger grain cell number. In wheat, proximal grains had higher maximum cell numbers and were also heavier than distal grains. This grain weight gradient was apparent throughout the inflorescence. Auriculotherapy consists of physical stimuli applied to the outer ear and is commonly associated with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The authors present and discuss the development of a course that offers a semi-on-site auriculotherapy course for Brazilian primary health care (PHC) professionals. The course was funded by the Brazilian Ministry of Health and developed at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 2015 by a team of experts in auriculotherapy. It consisted of 75 h of distance learning (five sequential modules) and 5 h of on-site learning. The modules included the following items:(1) introduction to integrative practices;(2) ear reflexology;(3) introduction to TCM;(4) biomedical view of auriculotherapy;and (5) auriculotherapy in PHC. The teaching material in eluded a workbook for each module, 14 video lectures and an interactive ear(on line resource) to study location and application to the main auricular points. The on-site lectures follow a structured script of ear palpation techniques, auricular seed insertion practice and clinical case discussions, under the supervision of trained instructors. The course was offered in 2016 and 2017 and on-site lectures took place in 25 cities, covering all Brazilian regions, in coordination with municipal or state boards of health. A total of 4273 health professionals concluded the training and their evaluation of the course was highly positive. The Brazilian experience of large-scale training shows the potential to disseminate auriculotherapy in the context of PHC, given that its practice is fast, easy to learn, safe, effective for different health problems and well accepted by the patients.

A Randomised Controlled Study to Investigate Effects of Bobath Based Trunk Control Training on Motor Function of Children with Spastic Bilateral Cerebral Palsy

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of trunk control on motor function, which plays an important role in the daily activities of children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and is often observed as a deficiency in children with CP. Material and Methods: Forty children with spastic bilateral CP, ages between 3 to 10 years and with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) level I, II, and III were included in this study. Children were divided into two groups using randomization and in training group;Bobath Therapy for trunk control in addition to classical physiotherapy programs was performed for 45 minutes, for two days a week, for 6 weeks. In control group, existing physiotherapy program, 45 minutes for two days a week, continued. Any addition was not made into the existing program of the control group. Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), Pediatric Berg Balance Scale (PBBS), Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS), 1 Minute Walking Test (1MWT), Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) were applied to both groups before and after 6 weeks. Moreover, trunk muscle strength of children was evaluated. Results: After therapy, differences were found in results of MAS and PBBS, and trunk extensor strength between the training group and the control group in favor of the training group (p Conclusion: This study shows that adding exercises which aim trunk to conventional physiotherapy and exercise programs of children with CP, affects motor function positively.
