BACKGROUND An increasing trend in colorectal cancer(CRC)occurring at younger ages has been observed worldwide,even though incidence is declining in the general *** currently available guidelines still recommend CRC screening for older populations,despite an alarming rise in early-onset CRC *** stratification is necessary to further determine the population most at risk for early-onset ***,epidemiological data on related clinical characteristics and potential risk factors,especially in developing countries,have not been widely *** To investigate the prevalence,demographics,clinicopathologic features,and associated factors of young-onset CRC patients in a tertiary hospital in *** Patients undergoing colonoscopy examination between 2008 and 2019,yielding a diagnosis of CRC were identified from medical *** subjects were classified into two groups according to their age at diagnosis,namely early-onset(18-49 years old)and late-onset(≥50-years-old).Demographic data,characteristics,and risk factors of both onset age groups were evaluated using the chisquare and Fisher’s exact *** Among 495 CRC patients confirmed by histopathology,205(41.4%)were classified as early-onset and 290(58.6%)as *** subjects in the earlyonset CRC group were male(53.7%),with 89.8%displaying adenocarcinoma histopathology.A majority(78%)of the early-onset CRC patients had left-sided tumors,with the rectum(41%)and rectosigmoid(17.6%)being the most common *** pain was the most frequent symptom in the early-onset CRC patients(55.6%),which was significantly higher than that in the late-onset CRC patients(43.8%,P<0.05).Early-onset CRC cases were more likely to be underweight(34.6%vs 20.0%,P<0.001)compared to late-onset CRC *** proportion of subjects with suspected hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer(HNPCC)was also higher in the early-onset CRC group than in the late-onset age group(9.3%vs 4.1%,P<0.05).

Analysis of an SME using Silicon and Flexible Organic Solar Cells as Replacements for Fossil Fuel Sources of Electricity in UK and Iraq

Currently, 86% of the energy originates from fossil fuelsforelectricity. These are expected to run out, causing severe environmental damage threatening future generations. The total impact of Small and Medium Enterprises （SMEs） on the economy is significant. Solar cells harness the sun＇s energy to generate electricity in an environmentally friendly manner. This study compares silicon solar cells to flexible Organic Photovoltaic solar cells （OPV） for electricity energy for a micro-business in the UK and Iraq. It shows that it is feasible to replace existing fossil fuel sources with solar cells in Iraq due to a greater amount of solar radiation striking the earth＇s surface. Flexible solar cells can replace a proportion of the energy requirements in the UK and a larger proportion in Iraq. Using existing 20% efficient solar cells, 28% and 83% of the energy requirements of the microbusiness can be replaced in UK and Iraq respectively. Assuming 20% efficiency for solar cells placed on windows, 74% and 220% of the energy requirements of UK and Kurdistan can be replaced respectively and the surplus stored.

The Effectiveness of Facebook as an Advertising Strategic Method Using EPIC： A Case Study of Mie Jupe Jombang

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of advertising through social media （i.e., Facebook）. Mie Jupe Jombang has applied using an analytical method called EPIC Model. The population of this study points to 5,000 people found as consumers and engaged as facebook friends of Mie Jupe Jombang. Using purposive sampling technique, 100 respondents are collected as the total sample of this study. They are scattered in Jombang regency and engaged with Mie Jupe Jombang＇s Facebook account as friends that apparently seems to advertise Mie Jupe Jombang. This study uses descriptive analysis method with EPIC model （Empathy, Persuation, Impact, and Communication）. The result of analysis shows that the variables of EPIC Model （Empathy, Persuation, Impact and Communication） are found quite effective. Overall, this fmding concludes that the advertising of Mie Jupe Jombang is quite effective.

Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Swirling Flow on Triple Elbow Pipe Layout

The secondary flow downstream of a triple elbow layout was studied experimentally and numerically to visualize the flow behavior under swirling inlet flow conditions. The inlet swirling condition was generated by a swirl generator, consisting of a rotary pipe and honeycomb assembly. The experiments were carried out in turbulent water flow condition at Reynolds number Re = 1 × 104 and inlet swirl intensity S = 1. Ultrasonic measurements were taken at four locations downstream of the third elbow. The two-dimensional velocity field of the flow field was measured using the phased array ultrasonic velocity profiler technique to evaluate the flow field with separation. Furthermore, a numerical simulation was performed and its results were compared with the experimental data. The numerical result was obtained by solving three-dimensional, Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with the renormalization group k-ε turbulence model. The experimental results confirmed that the swirling flow condition modified the size of the separation region downstream of the third elbow. A qualitative comparison between the experimental and CFD simulation results of the averaged velocity field downstream of the third elbow showed similar tendency on reverse flow.

Unilateral Fimbria/Fornix Transection Prevents the Synaptoplastic Effect of Dehydroepiandrosterone in the Hippocampus of Female, but Not Male, Rats

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), the most abundant adrenal androgen in primates, is also synthesized from cholesterol in the brain. Like testosterone, DHEA induces spine synapse formation in the hippocampus. In female rats, this response is blocked by co-administration of an inhibitor of aromatase, the enzyme responsible for estrogen biosynthesis. In males, by contrast, the hippocampal synaptic response to DHEA is unaffected by treatment with an aromatase inhibitor. We hypothesized that this sex difference might reflect differential dependence of the hippocampal responses on subcortical afferents from the basal forebrain. To test this hypothesis, we examined the effects of unilateral fimbria/ fornix transection (FFX) on DHEA-induced synapse formation in the cornu ammonis 1 (CA1) hippocampal subfield of gonadectomized female and male rats. In ovariectomized females, CA1 spine synapse density after DHEA treatment was reduced by more than 60% ipsilateral to FFX. In males, however, unilateral FFX transection had no effect on spine synapse density after DHEA treatment. These results suggest that sex differences in the dependence on local estrogen biosynthesis of the CA1 synaptic response to androgen may at least in part be the result of sex differences in the relative contributions of afferents to the hippocampus from the basal forebrain.

A ciliated hepatic foregut cyst (CHFC) is a rare foregut developmental malformation usually diagnosed in adulthood. Five percent of reported cases of CHFC transform into squamous cell carcinoma. We report the presentation, evaluation, and surgical management of a symptomatic 45-year-old male found to have a 6.2 cm CHFC. Contrast tomography-guided fine-needle aspiration demonstrated columnar, ciliated epithelium consistent with the histologic diagnosis of CHFC. The intracystic levels of carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9 and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) were extremely high (978118 U/mL and 973 μg/L, respectively). Histologically, the wall of the cyst showed characteristic pseudopapillae lined with a ciliated stratified columnar epithelium, underlying smooth muscle, an outer fibrous layer and no atypia. Immunohistochemistry for CA19-9 and CEA was positive. This is the first case report of a CHFC in which levels of CA 19-9 and CEA were measured. Our findings suggest that a large sized multilocular cyst and elevated cyst CA19-9 and CEA levels do not exclude a CHFC from consideration in the diagnosis. CHFCs should be included in the differential diagnosis of hepatic lesions. Accurate diagnosis of a CHFC is necessary given its potential for malignant transformation, and surgical excision is recommended.

Measure the Bulk Etch Rate Using the Time-Diameter Method

The present work measured the bulk etch rate (VB?) of solid state nuclear track detector by taking the diameter time measurement of alpha particle in CR-39 detector. The values of the track diameter have been found by using TRACK-TEST program from Yu et al. function and Brun et al. function with different energies of alpha particles. The results showed that the time-diameter (t-d) method gave good results of the bulk etch rate (VB?) and these values were (1.705 and 1.72) μm·hr-1. They showed good agreement with the values measured by using the other methods, and it was a simple method because it required getting diameters of the tracks in the detector with the etching time.

Fabrication of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell Based on Titanium Dioxide (TiO2)

The Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) plays an important role because of low material cost, ease of production and high conversion efficiency as compared to other thin-film solar cell technologies. The main objective is to create and find the best configuration of the solar cell based on materials that are inexpensive and highly efficient in solar energy conversion and subsequently test the efficiency of dye sensitized titanium dioxide solar cell. We begin the process with two glass plates coated with Fluorine tin oxide (FTO). Titanium dioxide is applied to the conductive side of one plate and the other plate is coated with graphite. A dye is adsorbed on to the TiO2 layer and then the plates are sandwiched together. A drop of iodide electrolyte is then added between the plates. The tests carried out indoors under a lamp emitting all wavelengths in the visible spectrum were not found to provide consistent data due to substantial heating of the cell. The outdoor tests carried out in natural sunlight exhibited steady voltage at much higher level. Future research will involve the incorporation of quantum dots instead of the organic dye as a sensitizer. Quantum dots have the advantages of providing tunable band gaps and the ability to absorb specific wavelength.

The Effect of Doped Indium on the Electrical and Optical Properties of (Se0.7Te0.3)1−xInxThin Films

In-doped (Se0.7Te0.3) thin films (In: 0, 0.05, and 0.08wt%) with thickness of (150 ± 25 nm) have been deposited on glass substrates by chemical vapor deposition by using selenium, tellurium and indium whose purity is (99.99%) compound alloy. The electrical and optical properties of the thin films were analyzed. The effects of In-doping concentration on the thermoelectric properties of the thin films were investigated by room-temperature measurement of the See beck coefficient and electrical resistivity. The thermoelectric power factor shows the best result at 0.05wt% in doping. The See beck coefficients are positive with increasing in doping concentration from 0 to 0.08wt%. And the thin films show p-type conduction. For optical properties, the transmission of all samples was approximated to 90%.
