Biodegradable elastomers are important emerging biomaterials for biomedical applications,particularly in the area of soft-tissue engineering in which scaffolds need to match the physicochemical properties of native ***,we report novel fast photocurable elastomers with readily tunable mechanical properties,surface wettability,and *** elastomers are prepared by a 5-min UV-irradiation of thiol-ene reaction systems of glycerol tripentenoate(GTP;a triene)or the combination of GTP and 4-pentenyl 4-pentenoate(PP;a diene)with a carefully chosen series of di-or *** the subsequent application study,these elastomers were found to be capable of overcoming delamination of myotubes,a technical bottleneck limiting the in vitro growth of mature functional *** glycerol-based elastomers supported the proliferation of mouse and human myoblasts,as well as myogenic differentiation into contractile *** notably,while beating mouse myotubes detached from conventional tissue culture plates,they remain adherent on the elastomer *** results suggest that these elastomers as novel biomaterials may provide a promising platform for engineering functional soft tissues with potential applications in regenerative medicine or pharmacological testing.

Surveillance strategies for precancerous gastric conditions after Helicobacter pylori eradication:There is still need for a tailored approach

Prevailing evidence declares that Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication therapycould shift precancerous gastric conditions (PGC) and positively confines gastriccancer (GC) risk during long-term endoscopic follow-up. Nonetheless, there is ayet unsolved controversy regarding the best-individualized surveillance strategiesfollowing H. pylori eradication, based on malignant risk stratification. This lastdispute is due to the uncertainty of contemporary evidence and the role of *** inflammatory changes in underestimating PGC at the index ***, the current state of the art suggests that it is reasonable that highqualityendoscopy with histological assessment for the most accurate diagnosis ofPGC may be delayed in selected high-risk patients without alarm signs formalignancy, following the eradication of H. pylori. Notwithstanding, these aspectsneed to be further examined in the next future to establish and optimize the mostbeneficial and cost-effective strategies for recognizing and managing H. pyloripositivepatients with PGC in the short- and long-term follow-up. Accordingly,additional studies are yet required to sharpen the hazard stratification of patientswith the greatest chance of GC evolution, also recognizing the evolving racial,ethnic, immigration factors and the necessity of novel biomarkers to limit GCdevelopment or accomplish a diagnosis of malignancy at an early stage.

Wavelet neural network applied for prognostication of contact pressure between soil and driving wheel

This paper describes the measurement of contact pressure in the context of wheel–terrain interaction as affected by wheel load and tire inflation pressure when fusion of the wavelet transform with the back-propagation(BP)neural network is applied to construct the wavelet neural network contact pressure prediction *** this aim,a controlled soil bin testing facility equipped with single-wheel tester was utilized while three levels of velocity,three levels of slippage and three levels of wheel load were *** image processing technique,contact area values were determined which were subsequently used for quantification of contact *** of the different predictor models incorporated of various mother wavelets were evaluated using standard statistical evaluation *** mean square error and coefficient of determination values of 0.1382 and 0.9864 achieved by the optimal wavelet neural network are better than that of BP neural *** proposed tool typifies a high learning speed,enhanced predicting accuracy,and strong robustness.

Energy loss optimization of run-off-road wheels applying imperialist competitive algorithm

The novel imperialist competitive algorithm(ICA)has presented outstanding fitness on various optimization *** of meta-heuristics has been a dynamic studying interest of the reliability optimization to determine idleness and reliability *** application of a meta-heuristic evolutionary optimization method,imperialist competitive algorithm(ICA),for minimization of energy loss due to wheel rolling resistance in a soil bin facility equipped with single-wheel tester is *** required data were collected thorough various designed experiments in the controlled soil bin *** and global searching of the search space proposed that the energy loss could be reduced to the minimum amount of 15.46 J at the optimized input variable configuration of wheel load at 1.2 kN,tire inflation pressure of 296 kPa and velocity of 2 m/***,genetic algorithm(GA),particle swarm optimization(PSO)and hybridized GA–PSO approaches were benchmarked among the broad spectrum of meta-heuristics to find the outperforming *** was deduced that,on account of the obtained results,ICA can achieve optimum configuration with superior accuracy in less required computational time.

Automatic fuzzy-DBSCAN algorithm for morphological and overlapping datasets

Clustering is one of the unsupervised learning *** is a procedure which partitions data objects into *** algorithms could not overcome the problems of morphology,overlapping and the large number of clusters at the same *** scientific communities have used the clustering algorithm from the perspective of density,which is one of the best methods in *** study proposes a density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithm based on the selected high-density areas by automatic fuzzy-DBSCAN(AFD)which works with the initialization of two ***,by using fuzzy and DBSCAN features,is modeled by the selection of high-density areas and generates two parameters for merging and separating *** two generated parameters provide a state of sub-cluster rules in the Cartesian coordinate system for the *** model overcomes the problems of clustering such as morphology,overlapping,and the number of clusters in a dataset *** the experiments,all algorithms are performed on eight data sets with 30 times of *** of them are related to overlapping real datasets and the rest are morphologic and synthetic *** is demonstrated that the AFD algorithm outperforms other recently developed clustering algorithms.

In this work, the authors introduce the concept of(p, q)-quasi-contraction mapping in a cone metric space. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for a(p, q)-quasi-contraction mapping in a complete cone metric space. The results of this paper generalize and unify further fixed point theorems for quasi-contraction, convex contraction mappings and two-sided convex contraction of order 2.
