Effects of enrichmemt planting with native tree species on bacterial community structure and potential impact on Eucalyptus plantations in southern China

Multi-generational planting of Eucalyptus species degrades soil quality but the introduction of legumes can improve soil fertility and microbial ***,the effects of introducing non-legume native tree species on soil nutrients and bacterial community structure remain poorly *** study investigated the impacts of the conversion of third generation monoculture Eucalyptus plantations to mixed systems including Eucalyptus urograndis with Cinnamomum camphora(EC)and *** with Castanopsis hystrix(EH),on soil chemical and biochemical properties and bacterial community structure,diversity and *** generation *** plantations were the *** show that planting the third generation Eucalyptus led to a significant decrease in p H,organic matter,nutrient content,enzyme activities(invertin,acid phosphataes,and urease),and bacterialα-diversity compare to the ***,the mixed planting showed significant improvement in soil chemical and biochemical attributes and bacterialα-diversity,although the *** and *** planting had no ***(oligotrophic bacteria)were significantly enriched in third generation Eucalyptus and Eucalyptus+***,while proteobacteria increased significantly in the *** with *** *** relative abundance of multiple metabolic pathways increased significantly in the third generation Eucalyptus plantations whereas membrane transportrelated genes were enriched in soils of the mixed *** changes in bacterial community structures in the two mixed systems were driven by diversity,organic matter and acid phosphatase,while bacterial functions were affected by invertase,NO_(3)^(-)-N,diversity and *** results suggest that the transformation of successive monoculture Eucalyptus plantations into mixed plantations reduces the depletion of soil nutrients and enhances the ecological function of soil microorganisms.

Advances in eucalypt research in China

Eucalypt plantations in China currently exceed4.5 Mhm^2, and this country has the third largest area of such plantations after India and Brazil. China's eucalypt industry now comprises a complex, multifaceted industry including seedling propagation, fertilizer production and supply, plantation silviculture, harvesting and transport,wood processing for products including lumber, pulp and paper, and wood-based panels, as well as bioenergy production and various forest byproducts and non-wood forest products. In 2015, the combined value of output of this whole industry was around 300 billion CNY. Chinese research and development(R&D) has been instrumental in supporting growth and development across the whole breadth of the country's eucalypt industry. In this report,recent advances in this R&D are reviewed under six key topics:(1) advanced propagation technology;(2) genetic resources and breeding;(3) targeted silviculture;(4) eucalypt disease and pest management;(5) enhancing plantation ecology and sustainability; and(6) wood processing and byproduct technology. R&D has greatly facilitated expansion and proliferation of all parts of China's eucalypt industry. This industry is now of major importance to China's economy; it involves tens of thousands of growers and companies that provide livelihoods for hundreds of thousands of people.

A Practical Regular LDPC Coded Scheme for Physical-Layer Information Security

In this paper,we aim to design a practical low complexity low-density parity-check(LDPC)coded scheme to build a secure open channel and protect information from *** this end,we first propose a punctured LDPC coded scheme,where the information bits in a codeword are punctured and only the parity check bits are transmitted to the *** further propose a notion of check node type distribution and derive multi-edge type extrinsic information transfer functions to estimate the security performance,instead of the well-known weak metric bit error *** optimize the check node type distribution in terms of the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)gap and modify the progressive edge growth algorithm to design finite-length *** results show that our proposed scheme can achieve a lower computational complexity and a smaller security gap,compared to the existing scrambling and puncturing schemes.

Transformer and GAN-Based Super-Resolution Reconstruction Network for Medical Images

Super-resolution reconstruction in medical imaging has become more demanding due to the necessity of obtaining high-quality images with minimal radiation dose,such as in low-field magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).However,image super-resolution reconstruction remains a difficult task because of the complexity and high textual requirements for diagnosis *** this paper,we offer a deep learning based strategy for reconstructing medical images from low resolutions utilizing Transformer and generative adversarial networks(T-GANs).The integrated system can extract more precise texture information and focus more on important locations through global image matching after successfully inserting Transformer into the generative adversarial network for picture ***,we weighted the combination of content loss,adversarial loss,and adversarial feature loss as the final multi-task loss function during the training of our proposed model *** comparison to established measures like peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)and structural similarity index measure(SSIM),our suggested T-GAN achieves optimal performance and recovers more texture features in super-resolution reconstruction of MRI scanned images of the knees and belly.

High-pressure minerals and new lunar mineral changesite-(Y) in Chang’e-5 regolith

Forty-five years after the Apollo and Luna missions, China’s Chang’e-5 (CE-5) mission collected ∼1.73 kg of new lunar materials from one ofthe youngest basalt units on the Moon. The CE-5 lunar samples provide opportunities to address some key scientific questions related to theMoon, including the discovery of high-pressure silica polymorphs (seifertite and stishovite) and a new lunar mineral, changesite-(Y). Seifertitewas found to be coexist with stishovite in a silica fragment from CE-5 lunar regolith. This is the first confirmed seifertite in returned lunarsamples. Seifertite has two space group symmetries (Pnc2 and Pbcn) and formed from an α-cristobalite-like phase during “cold” compressionduring a shock event. The aftershock heating process changes some seifertite to stishovite. Thus, this silica fragment records different stagesof an impact process, and the peak shock pressure is estimated to be ∼11 to 40 GPa, which is much lower than the pressure condition forcoexistence of seifertite and stishovite on the phase diagram. Changesite-(Y), with ideal formula (Ca_(8)Y)◻Fe^(2+)(PO_(4))_(7) (where ◻ denotes avacancy) is the first new lunar mineral to be discovered in CE-5 regolith samples. This newly identified phosphate mineral is in the form ofcolumnar crystals and was found in CE-5 basalt fragments. It contains high concentrations of Y and rare earth elements (REE), reaching upto ∼14 wt. % (Y,REE)2O3. The occurrence of changesite-(Y) marks the late-stage fractional crystallization processes of CE-5 basalts combinedwith silicate liquid immiscibility. These new findings demonstrate the significance of studies on high-pressure minerals in lunar materials andthe special nature of lunar magmatic evolution.

尾巨桉人工林土壤呼吸对林下植被管理措施的响应

【目的】探究不同林下植被管理措施对雷州半岛尾巨桉Eucalyptus urophylla×***人工林土壤呼吸及其组分的影响,为准确评估桉树人工林土壤碳循环提供科学依据。【方法】以尾巨桉人工林为研究对象,实施物理和化学(施用除草剂)方式去除林下植被,并以未去除为对照。采用LI-8100A土壤碳通量自动测量系统,对土壤总呼吸及其组分速率、土壤温度和湿度(5 cm深处)进行为期1 a的连续监测。【结果】物理和化学去除林下植被极显著降低了土壤总呼吸及其组分(化学去除的根系呼吸除外)(P0.05),根系呼吸速率表现为物理去除(1.02μmol·m^(−2)·s^(−1))显著低于化学去除(1.37μmol·m^(−2)·s^(−1))(P<0.05)。凋落物层呼吸、矿质土壤呼吸、根系呼吸对土壤总呼吸的贡献率分别为36.45%~39.40%、26.34%~31.29%、30.10%~39.40%。土壤总呼吸速率及其组分最高值出现在雨季(4—10月),根系呼吸速率最低值出现在7—8月。土壤总呼吸速率与土壤温度、湿度双因子拟合模型最优,能解释土壤总呼吸速率变异的75.1%(物理去除)、60.9%(化学去除)、57.1%(对照);凋落物呼吸速率时间变异主要由土壤湿度调控;根系呼吸速率与土壤温度无显著相关性,与土壤湿度呈显著负相关(P<0.05)。土壤总呼吸的温度敏感性(Q10)从大到小依次为物理去除(2.12)、化学去除(1.95)、对照(1.93)。【结论】林下植被去除通过改变林内生物和非生物因素共同作用于土壤呼吸,且物理去除林下植被相比于化学去除能更大程度降低桉树人工林土壤总呼吸速率,降低森林土壤碳排放。

【目的】探讨桉树人工林适应季节性干旱的水分利用来源策略,为桉树产业的可持续经营管理和水资源高效利用提供数据支持。【方法】以雷州半岛分布面积最大的尾巨桉Eucalyptus urophylla×***为研究对象,通过测定旱雨季典型月份尾巨桉木质部水、各土层土壤水和地下水的氢稳定同位素值(δD)和氧稳定同位素值(δ^(18)O),并利用贝叶斯混合模型(MixSIAR)量化尾巨桉旱雨季对各土层土壤水或地下水的利用比例,深入探讨了尾巨桉旱雨季水分利用来源的差异。【结果】当地大气降水存在明显的蒸发富集现象,且其δ^(18)O呈明显的雨季偏负,旱季偏正的季节变化规律;各月土壤含水量均随深度的加深而增加最后趋于稳定,旱季土壤含水量显著(P<0.05)小于雨季,且越接近地表差异越大。尾巨桉在雨季主要利用0~40和40~100 cm土层的土壤水,利用比例分别为28.0%和24.3%,而旱季主要利用150~200 cm土层的土壤水和地下水,利用比例分别为29.9%和22.6%。旱季大量降水后,土壤水分尤其是浅层土壤水得到大量补充,尾巨桉对0~40和40~100 cm土层土壤水的利用比例分别提高了111.4%和10.3%,对100~150、150~200 cm土层土壤水和地下水的利用比例分别降低了3.1%、40.1%和15.9%。【结论】尾巨桉面对环境可利用水资源的变化,具有灵活多变的水分利用来源策略,这表明尾巨桉对季节性干旱具有较强的适应能力。图5表1参44。

Set-Membership Filtering Approach to Dynamic Event-Triggered Fault Estimation for a Class of Nonlinear Time-Varying Complex Networks

The present study addresses the problem of fault estimation for a specific class of nonlinear time-varying complex networks,utilizing an unknown-input-observer approach within the framework of dynamic event-triggered mechanism(DETM).In order to optimize communication resource utilization,the DETM is employed to determine whether the current measurement data should be transmitted to the estimator or *** guarantee a satisfactory estimation performance for the fault signal,an unknown-input-observer-based estimator is constructed to decouple the estimation error dynamics from the influence of fault *** aim of this paper is to find the suitable estimator parameters under the effects of DETM such that both the state estimates and fault estimates are confined within two sets of closed ellipsoid *** techniques of recursive matrix inequality are applied to derive sufficient conditions for the existence of the desired estimator,ensuring that the specified performance requirements are met under certain ***,the estimator gains are derived by minimizing the ellipsoid domain in the sense of trace and a recursive estimator parameter design algorithm is then ***,a numerical example is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed estimator.
