Effective assignment of positional isomers in dimeric shikonin and its analogs by ^(1)H NMR spectroscopy

An approach for distinguishing two types of positional isomers of dimeric shikonin and its analogs was explored with ^(4)JC,H long-range correlation by prolonging the acquisition time at ^(2,3)JC,H values of 2.0 and ***,the ^(1)H(proton)nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)pattern of phenolic hydroxyl protons was developed as a“diagnosis signal”to ascertain the relative location of each side chain in DMSO-d_(6) at sample concentrations of 0.022-0.034 mol/*** chemical shift differences of 0.6ppm between OH-5' and OH-1 and between OH-8'and OH-4 are assigned to Type A and Type B,*** reported ambiguous structures were corrected by this ***,the steric structures of isolated compounds were elucidated by quantum chemical calculations of electronic circular dichroism(ECD)spectra.

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic autoimmune disorder marked by persistent synovial inflammation and joint degradation,posing challenges in the development of effective ***,an alkaloid found in lotus leaf,has shown promising anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects,yet its efficacy in RA treatment remains *** study investigated the antiproliferative effects of nuciferine on the MH7A cell line,a human RA-derived fibroblast-like synoviocyte,revealing its ability to inhibit cell proliferation,promote apoptosis,induce apoptosis,and cause G1/S phase ***,nuciferine significantly reduced the migration and invasion capabilities of MH7A *** therapeutic potential of nuciferine was further evaluated in a collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rat model,where it markedly alleviated joint swelling,synovial hyperplasia,cartilage injury,and inflammatory *** also improved collagen-induced bone erosion,decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines and serum immunoglobulins(IgG,IgG1,IgG2a),and restored the balance between T helper(Th)17 and regulatory T cells in the spleen of CIA *** results indicate that nuciferine may offer therapeutic advantages for RA by decreasing the proliferation and invasiveness of FLS cells and correcting the Th17/Treg cell imbalance in CIA rats.

High-temperature stress threatens the growth and yield of crops. Basic helix-loop-helix(bHLH) transcription factors(TFs) have been shown to play important roles in regulating high-temperature resistance in plants. However, the bHLH TFs responsible for high-temperature tolerance in cucumbers have not been identified. We used transcriptome profiling to screen the high temperature-responsive candidate bHLH TFs in cucumber. Here, we found that the expression of 75 CsbHLH genes was altered under high-temperature stress. The expression of the CsSPT gene was induced by high temperatures in TT(Thermotolerant) cucumber plants. However, the Csspt mutant plants obtained by the CRISPR-Cas9 system showed severe thermosensitive symptoms, including wilted leaves with brown margins and reduced root density and cell *** Csspt mutant plants also exhibited elevated H_(2)O_(2) levels and down-regulated photosystem-related genes under normal ***, there were high relative electrolytic leakage(REC), malondialdehyde(MDA), glutathione(GSH), and superoxide radical(O_(2)^(·-)) levels in the Csspt mutant plants, with decreased Proline content after the high-temperature treatment. Transcriptome analysis showed that the photosystem and chloroplast activities in Csspt mutant plants were extremely disrupted by the high-temperature stress compared with wildtype(WT) plants. Moreover, the plant hormone signal transduction, as well as MAPK and calcium signaling pathways were activated in Csspt mutant plants under high-temperature stress. The HSF and HSP family genes shared the same upregulated expression patterns in Csspt and WT plants under high-temperature conditions. However, most bHLH, NAC, and bZIP family genes were significantly down-regulated by heat in Csspt mutant plants. Antimony(Sb)is an intriguing anode material for Li-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to its high theoretical capacity of 660 m Ah·g^(-1)and appropriate working potential of~0.8 V(***^(+)/Li).However,just like all alloying materials,the Sb anode suffers from huge volume expansion(230%)during repeated insertion/extraction of Li+ions,resulting in structural deterioration and rapid capacity *** this work,a novel amorphous Sb/C composite with atomically dispersed Sb particles in carbon matrix is prepared via a straightforward high-energy ball milling *** intimate intermixing of amorphous Sb with C provides homogeneous element distribution and isotropic volume expansion during cycling,resulting in persistent structural ***,the disordered structure of amorphous material shortens the diffusion distance of lithium ions/electrons,promoting fast reaction kinetics and rate *** from the aforementioned effects,the amorphous Sb/C exhibits a high reversible capacity of537.4 m Ah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)and retains 201.0 m Ah·g^(-1)at an ultrahigh current rate of 10.0 A·g^(-1).Even after 1500deep cycles at 2.0 A·g^(-1),the amorphous Sb/C electrode still maintains 86.3%of its initial capacity,which outperforms all existing Sb-based anodes reported so *** analysis further reveals a greatly reduced volume variation of merely 34.6%for the amorphous Sb/C electrode,much lower than that of 223.1%for crystalline Sb *** study presents a new approach to stabilizing Sb-based alloy anodes and contributes to the construction of high-performance amorphous anode materials for LIBs,enabling advanced energy storage.

Flexible light-emitting fibers and fabrics serve to bridge human–machine interactions. The desire for practical applications and the commercialization of flexible light-emitting fibers has accelerated structural progress and improvements. This review focuses on the structural design of light-emitting fibers and fabrics, starting with a summary of design principles, emission mechanisms, and structural evolution of coaxial structured light-emitting fibers. Subsequently, we explore recent advances in the helical structure design strategies that boost the mechanical sensitivity of light-emitting fibers. Following that, we analyze continuous preparation processes and the development of large-area intelligent light-emitting fabrics based on interwoven structures. Examples based on stiff and rigid inorganic-based lightemitting diodes integrated into flexible systems are also presented. Finally, we discuss the current challenges and future opportunities for light-emitting applications in the field of wearable and smart devices.

We propose a new protocol for quantum teleportation(QT)which adopts the Brown state as the quantum *** work focuses on the teleportation of a single unknown two-qubit state via a Brown state channel in an ideal *** validate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme,we conduct experiments by using the quantum circuit simulator ***,we investigate the effects of four noisy channels,namely,the phase damping noise,the bit-flip noise,the amplitude damping noise,and the phase-flip ***,we employ Monte Carlo simulation to elucidate the fidelity density under various noise *** analysis demonstrates that the fidelity of the protocol in a noisy environment is influenced significantly by the amplitude of the initial state and the noise factor.

In source detection in the Tianlai project,locating the interferometric fringe in visibility data accurately will influence downstream tasks drastically,such as physical parameter estimation and weak source *** that traditional locating methods are time-consuming and supervised methods require a great quantity of expensive labeled data,in this paper,we first investigate characteristics of interferometric fringes in the simulation and real scenario separately,and integrate an almost parameter-free unsupervised clustering method and seeding filling or eraser algorithm to propose a hierarchical plug and play method to improve location ***,we apply our method to locate single and multiple sources’interferometric fringes in simulation ***,we apply our method to real data taken from the Tianlai radio telescope ***,we compare with unsupervised methods that are state of the *** results show that our method has robustness in different scenarios and can improve location measurement accuracy effectively.

BACKGROUND Tumor budding(TB)has emerged as a promising independent prognostic biomarker in colorectal cancer(CRC).The prognostic role of TB has been extensively studied and currently affects clinical decision making in patients with stage I and II ***,existing prognostic studies on TB in stage III CRC have been confined to small retrospective cohort ***,this study investigated the correlation among TB categories,clinicopathological features,and prognosis in stage III-IV CRC to further enhance the precision and individualization of treatment through refined prognostic risk *** To analyze the relationship between TB categories and clinicopathological characteristics and assess their prognostic value in stage III-IV CRC to further refine the prognostic risk stratification of stage III-IV *** The clinical data of 547 CRC patients were collected for this retrospective *** at the front edge of the tumor buds was counted according to the 2016 International Tumor Budding Consensus Conference *** Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis demonstrated that chemotherapy(P=0.004),clinical stage IV(P<0.001),≥4 regional lymph node metastases(P=0.004),left-sided colonic cancer(P=0.040),and Bd 2-3(P=0.002)were independent prognostic factors in patients with stage III-IV ***,the density of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes was higher in Bd 1 than in Bd 2-3,both in the tumor stroma and its invasive *** TB has an independent predictive prognostic value in patients with stage III-IV *** is recommended to complete the TB report of stage III-IV CRC cases in the standardized pathological report to further refine risk stratification.

Styrene-butadiene rubber(SBR) is an indispensable material in modern society, and the necessity for enhanced mechanical properties in SBR persists, particularly to withstand the rigors of challenging environmental conditions. To surmount the limitations of conventional cross-linking modes, mechanical bonds stabilized by host-guest recognition are incorporated as the cross-linking points of SBR to form mechanically interlocked networks(MINs). Compared with covalently cross-linked network, the representative MIN exhibits superior mechanical performance in terms of elongation(1392%) and breaking strength(4.6 MPa), whose toughness has surged by 17 times. Dissociation of host-guest recognition and subsequent sliding motion provide an effective energy dissipation mechanism, and the release of hidden length is also beneficial to enhance ***, the introduction of the rotaxane cross-links made the network more pliable and possess damping and elastic properties, which can return to initial state with one minute rest interval. We aspire that this direct introduction method can serve as a blueprint, offering valuable insights for the enhancement of mechanical properties in conventional commercial polymer materials.
