为了研究NH_(3)-CH_(4)掺混燃气的燃烧特性,设计了一个可视化的旋流湍流燃烧装置,通过实验对当量比(Ф)、氨气掺混比(X_(NH_(3)))和入口空气流量对燃烧特性的影响进行分析。结果表明:随着当量比增加,燃烧室出口NO排放先增加后减小,在Ф=0.9时达到峰值,对其反应速率和燃烧光谱进行分析,发现NO_(2)和HNO浓度协同影响了NO的反应速率,NO排放和OH基强度呈正相关,NH_(2α)基和H_(2)O蒸气产生的链式反应促进了NO的还原。随着X_(NH_(3))升高,火焰由蓝色逐渐转变为橙黄色,NO排放先增加后减少,在X_(NH_(3))=0.4附近出现峰值。另外,随着入口空气流量的增加,气流速度增大导致湍流强度增大,贫燃状态下NO排放增加,而在富燃状态下排放减少,文中对其中机理进行了分析。

Spermotrend Improves Semen Quality and Infertility in Men with Varicocele —Spermotrend and Male Infertility

Background: Infertility affects 8% - 12% of couples globally, with approximately half of the cases reported in males. Oxidative stress is a common factor increased in the varicocele condition and particularly affects spermatozoa, due to their sensitivity to oxidative signals and testicular hypotrophy. The objective of this clinical trial is to study the effectiveness of Spermotrend in the improvement of sperm parameters in male infertility. Methods: A total of 170 males aged > 18 years with a diagnosis of infertility and varicocele were consecutively enrolled in a Phase II, open-label clinical trial. Spermotrend was administered 1 capsule (450 mg) orally every 8 hours for 6 months and was evaluated through semen analysis at 4 and 6 months of follow-up. Results: The trial results show a significant improvement following the administration of Spermotrend over 6 months in sperm concentration (44.1% at baseline vs. 64.1% at 6 months), sperm survival (28.2% with sperm survival ≥ 2 hours vs.56.5%), normalization of sperm morphology (31.2% vs. 72.9%). Varicocele condition decreased in all patients and, by the end of the study, 55.3% of patients had normal venous flow and dilation. Only 5.9% of the patients showed grade 2 varicocele at the end of the study, while 38.8% showed grade 1 varicocele, with no patients showing grade 3 varicocele. Regarding testicular hypotrophy, 90.6% of the patients completed the study with normalized testicular volume by recovering normal venous flow. Conclusion: A short-term course of Spermotrend may significantly improve sperm parameters associated with male infertility. In this editorial we comment on the article published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2023;15(11):*** cancer(GC)remains the fifth most common malignancy and the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death *** overall prevalence of GC has declined,although that of proximal GC has increased over ***,a significant proportion of GC cases and deaths can be avoided if preventive interventions are *** GC(EGC)is defined as GC confined to the mucosa or *** resection is considered the most appropriate treatment for precancerous gastrointestinal lesions improving patient quality of life,with reduced rates of complications,shorter hospitalization period,and lower costs when compared to surgical *** mucosal resection(EMR)and endoscopic sub-mucosal dissection(ESD)are representative endoscopic treatments for EGC and precancerous gastric *** EMR implies injection of a saline solution into the sub-mucosal space,followed by excision of the lesion using a *** resection rates vary depending on the size and severity of the *** using conventional EMR methods for lesions less than 1 cm in size,the complete resection rate is approximately 60%,whereas for lesions larger than 2 cm,the complete resection rate is low(20%-30%).ESD can be used to remove tumors exceeding 2 cm in diameter and lesions associated with ulcers or submucosal *** with EMR,ESD has higher en bloc resection rates(90.2%vs 51.7%),higher complete resection rates(82.1 vs 42.2%),and lower recurrence rates(0.65%vs 6.05%).Thus,innovative techniques have been introduced.

Ephedroid macrofossils have been widely documented in Cretaceous deposits,including numerous from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of NE ***,few ephedroid macrofossils have been reported from South ***,we describe a new plant of the family Ephedraceae,Arlenea delicata *** ***.,from the Lower Cretaceous Crato Formation of the Araripe Basin,Northeast Brazil,based on the vegetative and reproductive *** has the typical morphological characteristics of ephedroid plants,including fertile reproductive branches,opposite phyllotaxy,terminal female cones,a sympodial branching system,longitudinally striated internodes,and swollen *** new finding is unusual in having inner chlamydosperms subtended by two pairs of bracts,reproductive units connected to branches through swollen receptacles and a smooth seed *** new ephedroid taxon from the Crato Formation increases our understanding of plant diversity of this group during the Early ***,the general morphology(fleshy bracts and enlarged receptacles)of this new fossil discovery indicates that seeds of this plant may have been dispersed by animals such as pterosaurs(mainly the Tapejaridae)and birds(Enantiornithes and Ornituromorpha).If true,this would explain the cosmopolitan distribution of Ephedraceae in the Lower Cretaceous.

Fetal MRI Artifacts: Semi-Supervised Generative Adversarial Neural Network for Motion Artifacts Reducing in Fetal Magnetic Resonance Images

This study addresses challenges in fetal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) related to motion artifacts, maternal respiration, and hardware limitations. To enhance MRI quality, we employ deep learning techniques, specifically utilizing Cycle GAN. Synthetic pairs of images, simulating artifacts in fetal MRI, are generated to train the model. Our primary contribution is the use of Cycle GAN for fetal MRI restoration, augmented by artificially corrupted data. We compare three approaches (supervised Cycle GAN, Pix2Pix, and Mobile Unet) for artifact removal. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed supervised Cycle GAN effectively removes artifacts while preserving image details, as validated through Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) and normalized Mean Absolute Error (MAE). The method proves comparable to alternatives but avoids the generation of spurious regions, which is crucial for medical accuracy.
