The aim of this study was to develop a new bread formulation from different amounts of acai powder and polydextrose incorporated into wheat flour on bread technological properties. The formulations were developed using the central composite rotational design and having as dependent variables specific volume, hardness, crumb color and image analysis. Statistical analysis was performed using multiple regression and response surface. The results showed that the inclusion of powdered acai and polydextrose in bread formulations reduces the specific volume and alveoli number and increases the browning and hardness of the bread. However, values of this addition （30 g/100 g） were found that did not promote significant quality reduction and the scanning electron microscopy （SEM） showed minimal damage to the gluten network at this level of incorporation.

A simple and economical chemical process for obtaining high purity neodymium oxide is discussed. The raw material in the form of RE （rare earth） carbonates is produced industrially in Brazil from monazite. Using this concentrate as the feed material, ion exchange with a strong cationic resin, commonly used for water treatment, and without the use of retention ions was used for the fractionating of the REE （rare earth elements）. The eluent was ammonium salt of EDTA （ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid） at pH 4.0. The complex of EDTA-neodymium was transformed into neodymium oxides via oxalate precipitation. We produced 99.9% pure Nd203 in yields greater than or equal to 80%. Molecular absorption spectrophotometry was used to monitor the neodymium content during the process and sector field inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used to certify the purity of the neodymium oxides. The typical neodymium oxides obtained contained the followings contaminants in micrograms per gram： Sc （4.09）; Y （0.39）; La （0.78）; Ce （5.62）; Pr （4.56）; Sm （11.10）; Eu （1.10）; Gd （14.30）; Tb （29.3）; Dy （4.15）; Ho （8.39）; Er （13.80）; Tm （0.23）; Yb （2.29）; Lu （0.39）. High purity neodymium oxides obtained from this procedure replaced the imported product used in research and development work on rare earth at IPEN/CNEN-SP （Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares/Comissfio Nacional de Eneergia Nuclear-Sao Paulo）.

BACKGROUND The uncertainties about coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),the change in routine,lifestyles and the reduction of physical contact can cause stress,anxiety,emotional overload,poor sleep and even physical health *** To evaluate the scientific publications available on the relationship between COVID-19 and anxiety experienced in the general population,during the period of social isolation,adopted by governmental organizations and public health policymakers as a measure to contain the spread of *** A literature search was performed systematically exploring the PubMed and Medline databases using the following terms classified as MeSH descriptors:(“anxiety”AND“pandemic”AND“COVID-19”).For the search,in the Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde–BVS,***,Web of Science and National Library plat forms, the following keywords were used: ("anxiety" AND "coronavirus" AND"social isolation"). Thirty-seven peer-reviewed articles were found. PRISMA andthe Downs & Black checklist were used for qualitative *** applying the inclusion criteria, seven (n = 7) original scientific articles wereselected. The collated evidence demonstrated increased levels of symptoms ofanxiety and depression during the period of social isolation. The populationbetween 21 to 40 years was most affected. The risk of severe depression was twiceas high at the epicenter of the pandemic. Grinding operation is a finishing process often employed when high precision and narrow geometric tolerances are *** requirements can be achieved only if cutting conditions are properly selected,especially the cooling-lubrication *** general,grinding is performed in presence of cutting fluid,however,due to the environmental impacts and costs of the conventional coolant delivery technique(flow rates from 4 L/min to 300 L/min),alternative cooling-lubrication techniques have been developed on restriction of the coolants *** the several techniques,MQL(minimum quantity of lubricant)technique has received special attention from machining users because of its advantages in terms of surface quality of workpiece and drastic reduction in use of *** this context,this paper evaluated the performance of the MQL technique as compared to the flood coolant in peripheral surface grinding of AISI P100(VP100)steel with conventional aluminum oxide grinding wheel in relation to the surface roughness(Ra and Rz).Input parameters tested were equivalent chip thickness(0.09μm,0.18μm and 0.27μm)and flow rate of the cutting fluid(60 mL/h,150 mL/h and 240 mL/h)of the MQL *** showed that the grinding with MQL technique provided lower surface roughness values compared to conventional flood cooling,especially when machining under the intermediary cutting ***,with exception of heq of 0.09 m,the MQL technique resulted in lower values of Rz parameter as compared to the conventional coolant technique,regardless of the flow rate tested.

Objective Exercise is known to enhance circulating brain-derived neurotrophic factor （BDNF） levels in healthy humans. BDNF changes have been measured in endurance but not in strength exercise. The present study aimed to investigate whether anaerobic activity such as sprinting differentially alters basal plasma BDNF concentration. Methods Brazilian sprinters （100 m） at either the international （Olympics and Outdoor World Championships）（n = 14） or the domestic level （n = 8）, and sedentary subjects （n = 15）, were recruited. Plasma BDNF concentrations were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The basal plasma BDNF concentrations were significantly higher in the international and the domestic sprinters than in the sedentary subjects. In addition, sprinters at the international level had higher plasma BDNF concentrations than those at the domestic level. Conclusion Our findings suggest that increased basal plasma BDNF level is related to enhanced exercise performance.
