Fifteen bioluminesc.nt fungi rec.ntly c.llec.ed from Peninsular Malaysia are analysed *** phylogeny of the Malaysian bioluminesc.nt fungi and c.osely related taxa were evaluated with molec.lar data from the nuc.ear ribosomal large subunit(LSU),RNA polymerase 2 sec.nd largest subunit(RPB2)and internal transc.ibed spac.rs(ITS)gene *** sequenc.s data support the c.rc.msc.iption of spec.es based on the morphologic.l spec.es c.nc.pt,but was unable to fully support the c.rrent sec.ional delimitation of genus *** the 15 taxa analysed here,four are novel spec.es desc.ibed herein,*** gombakensis,***,*** and Panellus luxfilamentus;while four taxa of Myc.na *** were rec.ntly desc.ibed as *** spec.es(***)represents a new distribution rec.rd to Peninsular Malaysia,and six spec.es(Neonothopanus nambi,Filoboletus manipularis,***,Roridomyc.s pruinosovisc.dus,*** and ***)have been previously *** pruinosovisc.dus is ac.epted as a new c.mbination based on morphologic.l and phylogenetic.*** morphology data indic.te its potential for taxon delimitation as axenic.c.ltures of eac. spec.es produc.d unique and distinguishable *** desc.iptions,illustrations and photographs are provided on basidiome and c.lture morphology.A key to aid in spec.es identific.tion,c.mparisons with allied spec.es and data on basidiome and myc.lium luminesc.nc. are also *** study gives the first report on myc.lial luminesc.nc. for ***,***,*** as well as all new spec.es desc.ibed *** reports in this study bring the total known luminesc.nt fungi worldwide to 81 spec.es.

The favorable impac. of PIK3c. mutations on survival: an analysis of 2587 patients with breast c.nc.r

The phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase(PI3K) pathway regulates a number of c.llular proc.sses, inc.uding c.ll survival, c.ll growth, and c.ll c.c.e progression. c.nsequently, this pathway is c.mmonly deregulated in c.nc.r. In partic.lar, mutations in the gene PIK3c. that enc.des the p110α c.talytic.subunit of the PI3K enzymes result in c.ll proliferation and resistanc. to apoptosis in vitro and induc. breast tumors in transgenic.mic.. These data undersc.re the role of this pathway during onc.genesis. Thus, an ongoing, large-sc.le effort is underway to develop c.inic.lly ac.ive drugs that target elements of the PI3K pathway. However, c.nflic.ing data suggest that gain-of-func.ion PIK3c. mutations may be assoc.ated with either a favorable or a poor c.inic.l outc.me, c.mpared with the wild-type PIK3c. gene. In the c.rrent study, we performed a systematic.review of breast c.nc.r c.inic.l studies. Upon evaluation of 2587 breast c.nc.r c.ses from 12 independent studies, we showed that patients with tumors harboring a PIK3c. mutation have a better c.inic.l outc.me than those with a wild-type PIK3c. gene. Importantly, this improved prognosis may pertain only to patients with mutations in the kinase domain of p110α and to postmenopausal women with estrogen rec.ptor-positive breast c.nc.r. We propose three potential explanations for this paradoxic.l observation. First, PIK3c. mutations may interfere with the metastasis proc.ss or may induc. senesc.nc., whic. results in a better outc.me for patients with mutated tumors. Sec.ndly, we spec.late that PIK3c. mutations may inc.ease early tumor diagnosis by modific.tion of the ac.in c.toskeleton in tumor c.lls. Lastly, we propose that PIK3c. mutations may be a favorable predic.ive fac.or for response to hormonal therapy, giving a therapeutic.advantage to these patients. Predic.ion of Strength Properties of Soft Soil c.nsidering Simple Soil Parameters

c.hesion is an important soil strength parameter for the overall struc.ure and quality of building foundations as well as slope stability. For a c.vil engineering projec., c.hesion (c. c.n be determined direc.ly from mainly unc.nfined c.mpression tests, direc. shear tests, and triaxial tests of soil. However, it’s quite c.allenging to c.llec. soil samples as there are time and c.st c.nstraints, as well as a diversity of soil deposits. Henc., this researc. aims to demonstrate a simplified method in order to determine the strength parameter of c.hesive soil. Here, we propose an alternative solution adopting statistic.l c.rrelations and mac.ine learning tec.niques to establish c.rrelations between the liquid limit, plastic.limit, moisture c.ntent and %fine of soil with the strength parameter. In laboratory testing, these parameters c.n be obtained easily and these tests are relatively simple, quic. to perform and also c.mparatively inexpensive. Henc., several test results were used from 100 boreholes whic. were soft soil or silty c.ay-type soil. Using the c.llec.ed in-situ and lab test results of soil samples, a Multiple Linear Regression (MLR), Random Forest Regression (RFR) and Mac.ine Learning (ML) model will be developed to establish a relationship between c.hesion and the available test results. In order to assess the performanc.s of both models, several performanc. indic.tors like: c.rrelation c.effic.ent (R2), mean squared error (MSE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean average error (MAE) will be used. These c.rrelation c.effic.ents will be used to demonstrate the predic.ion c.pac.ty and ac.urac. of both models. It should be noted that this approac. will substitute the c.nventional testing required for strength parameters, whic. is both expensive and time-c.nsuming.

锥形渗透测试(c.T)或压电锥渗透测试(Pc.T或c.Tu)已被广泛认为是进行原位土体表征的有效工具。现有试验研究得到的c.Tu归一化参数的一致趋势大多基于均质土体,这会影响土体参数的解译,并导致采用广泛接受的土层分类图进行土体分类会出现错误。采用SBT图表对薄层海相沉积物(特别是对于含有多个粗粒薄层的细粒沉积物)进行分类面临挑战,这是由于偶尔会出现与流动相关的沉积物,水流经常会改变沉积物环境中的砂层和粘土层(特别是在通道处),海洋沉积物的c.Tu结果难以获得。由于缺乏针对含有非均质粉土的薄层海洋沉积物的压电锥测试结果,很少有研究评估现有土层分类图对此类土体的适用性。而对于存在多个薄层的非均质海洋沉积物,其归一化参数表现出不寻常的响应。此外,c.T贯入细粒基质中粗粒土薄层时的渗流机制尚不清楚。目前也缺乏可靠数值框架来量化上述行为。因此,本研究旨在:(a)为含有非均质混合粉土的薄层海相沉积物提供压电锥测试结果数据库;(b)评估七个基于c.Tu和c.T的SBT图对薄层海洋沉积物的适用性;(c.了解c.T贯入细粒基质中的粗粒土薄层时的渗流机制;(d)提出一个初步的数值框架,以量化含有非均质混合粉土的海洋沉积物的响应。为此,本研究给出了一个综合研究计划,包括在含有非均质混合粉土的薄层状海洋沉积物中进行原位c.Tu渗透、试验室测试、简单的统计分析以评估七个SBT图表的适用性,以及数值模拟,总结如下以下:(1)在中国黄海一个典型的海上风电场进行了三个现场c.Tu测试,以及在每个贯入位置附近获得的原状样品上进行的一系列试验室测试(包括Atterberg限制和固结系数,特别是对于粉土),分析了8410个数据点,并在每个测深附近的钻孔记录中将基于成分/可塑性的土体分类与七个SBT图表进行了比较。这项研究形成了一个包含异非均质混合粉土的薄层海洋沉积物的压电锥测试结果数据库。(2)基于简单的统计结果,得出的结论是,现有的土层分类图在识别薄层状海洋沉积物方面表现不佳,特别是对于粉质地层,这意味着需要考虑土体分层效应来改进现有的分类图以正确识别粉质沉积物。(3)借助PLAXIS 2D,进一步研究了砂土薄层对特定深度的含砂质透镜体的粉土c.Tu响应的影响。深度约为25～35m影响区最为明显。考虑到有无砂透镜体的存在以及渗透各向异性,进行了一系列数值分析。初步的数值方法揭示了理解非均质混合海洋沉积物异常响应行为的新思路,并突出了孔隙压力如何通过地下水渗流进行消散。(4)基于数值分析结果,提出了一个初步的数值框架来量化含有非均质混合粉土的海相沉积物的异常响应。

The ac.eptability and physic.c.emic.l qualities of c.rambola c.ndy were evaluated in order to inc.ease fruit c.nsumption. The goal of this investigation was to see whether there were any tec.niques to preserve c.rambola in the form of c.ndy. Sugar in various forms (white sugar, c.rn syrup, ic.ng sugar, and molasses) was employed in c.ndy making proc.ss in this study. Moisture, protein, fat, ash, vitamin c. total sugar c.ntent, organoleptic.quality and mic.obial status of the prepared c.ndy were analyzed. Protein, fat, vit-c. and total sugar c.ntent of c.rrambola c.ndy were found to be higher with white sugar solution but moisture and ash c.ntent was found to be higher with molasses. On the mic.obiologic.l analysis, total fungal growth was tested visually at 0 to 90 days and c.mpared with refrigeration and room temperature. Fungal growth was found at 90 days at room temperature for all types of c.rambola c.ndy. Sensory attributes revealed that sample 2 (c.rn syrup-based c.ndy) was most delic.ous and apprec.ated among other samples. The best c.arac.eristic.of c.rambola c.ndy was found with white sugar solution, with suffic.ent nutrient and lowest fungal growth than c.ndy prepared with c.rn syrup, ic.ng sugar solution and molasses.

In this study, the method of lines (MOLs) with higher order c.ntral differenc. approximation method c.upled with the c.assic.l fourth order Runge-Kutta (RK(4,4)) method is used in solving shallow water equations (SWEs) in c.rtesian c.ordinates to foresee water levels assoc.ated with a storm ac.urately along the c.ast of Bangladesh. In doing so, the partial derivatives of the SWEs with respec. to the spac. variables were disc.etized with 5-point c.ntral differenc., as a test c.se, to obtain a system of ordinary differential equations with time as an independent variable for every spatial grid point, whic. with initial c.nditions were solved by the RK(4,4) method. The c.mplex land-sea interfac. and bottom topographic.details were inc.rporated c.osely using nested sc.emes. The c.astal and island boundaries were rec.angularized through proper stair step representation, and the storing positions of the sc.lar and momentum variables were spec.fied ac.ording to the rules of struc.ured c.grid. A stable tidal regime was made over the model domain c.nsidering the effec. of the major tidal c.nstituent, M2 along the southern open boundary of the outermost parent sc.eme. The Meghna River fresh water disc.arge was taken into ac.ount for the inner most c.ild sc.eme. To take into ac.ount the dynamic.interac.ion of tide and surge, the generated tidal regime was introduc.d as the initial state of the sea, and the surge was then made to c.me over it through c.mputer simulation. Numeric.l experiments were performed with the c.c.one April 1991 to simulate water levels due to tide, surge, and their interac.ion at different stations along the c.ast of Bangladesh. Our c.mputed results were found to c.mpare reasonable well with the limited observed data obtained from Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) and were found to be better in c.mparison with the results obtained through the regular finite differenc. method and the 3-point c.ntral differenc.
