Clinical validation of the early embryo viability assessment system: Analysis for the blastocyst morphology and pregnancy outcomes

Objective:to determine the relationship between the early embryo viability assessment(EEVA)and blastocyst morphological parameters and pregnancy ***:this retrospective cohort study was conducted on 291 intracytoplasmic sperm injection cycles including 2522 embryos with indications of prolonging embryo culture to the blastocyst stage in the Genea embryo review incubator,and 511 single vitrified-warmed blastocyst t.ansfer cycles from January 2020 to June *** EEVA system produced an EEVA score from E1(best)to E5(worse)for the potential of blastocyst *** morphology was *** association between the EEVA score and each type of blastocyst morphology,implantation rate,clinical pregnancy,and ongoing pregnancy were assessed using generalized estimating ***:the inner cell mass A(ICM A),trophectoderm A(tE A),blastocoele expansion degree of 3,4,5,6,7 rates were higher with lower the EEVA *** adjusted odd ratio(aOR)(E5 vs E1)was 0.3 for ICM A,0.174 for tE A and 0.210 for BL3,4,5,6,7(all Pting a significant association between lower EEVA scores and improved embryo *** implantation,clinical pregnancy,and ongoing pregnancy rate were also higher with lower the EEVA *** aOR of E5 vs E1 was 0.245 for implantation,0.185 for clinical pregnancy and 0.200 for ongoing pregnancy rate(Pthere were associations between blastocyst morphology,pregnancy outcome and EEVA *** good blastocyst morphology and pregnancy outcomes are higher with lower the EEVA score.

Wedelolactone from Eclipta prostrata(L)*** inflammation and improves insulin resistance

Objective:to evaluate the effects of wedelolactone,a major flavonoid from Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L)L.,on inflammation and insulin ***:Wedelolactone was extracted from the leaves of Vietnamese Eclipta prostrata(L.)*** met.anol by *** effects of wedelolactone on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced cytokine production,reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase activities in Raw 264.7 cells were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),specific immunofluorescent dyes and luminometric analysis,*** addition,its effects on glucose uptake and the protein expression of insulin receptor substrate 1(IRS1)and glucose t.ansporter 4(GLUt4)were examined in 3t3-L1 cells by immunofluorescent dyes and Western ***:Wedelolactone at 30μg/mL significantly inhibited LPS-induced production of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and IL-8(Pth no noticeable effects on IL-10 *** also reduced ROS generation and NADPH oxidase activities in LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells(Pthermore,wedelolactone showed anti-insulin resistance activity,as evidenced by improved glucose uptake and the upregulated expression of IRS1 and GLUt4 in 3t3-L1 cells(Ptone exhibits anti-inflammation and anti-insulin resistance effects,which may be used for the treatment of diabetes and inflammation-associated diseases.

EP Aquarii:A New Picture of the Circumstellar Envelope

New analyses of earlier ALMA observations of oxygen-rich AGB star EP Aquarii are presented,which complete a previously published analysis and offer a different interpretation of the morpho-kinematics of the circumstellar *** birth of the equatorial density enhancement(EDE)is shown to occur very close to the star where evidence for rotation has been *** to the star and where outflows have been observed:their interaction with the gas of the nascent EDE is seen to play an important role in the development of the wind and the evolution of its radial velocity from 8 to 10 km s^(-1) on the polar symmetry axis to~2 km s^(-1) at the *** implies complex morpho-kinematics:making reliable interpretations with reasonable confidence is *** particular,it questions an earlier interpretation implying the presence of a white dwarf companion orbiting the star at.an angular distance of -0″4 from its *** proposes instead an interpretation in terms of a standard mass ejection associated with a shock wave leaving a void of emission in its *** Doppler velocity wings are seen to consist of two components,the upper velocity end of the global wind,reaching above±12 km s^(-1),and an effective line broadening,confined within 200 mas from the center of the star,reaching above±20 km s^(-1) and interpreted as caused by the pattern of shock waves resulting from the interaction between stellar pulsation and convective cell partition.

Recent advancements in stem cell technology open a new door for patients suffering from diseases and disorders that have yet to be *** cell-based therapy,including human pluripotent stem cells(hPsCs)and multipotent mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs),has recently emerged as a key player in regenerative *** are defined as self-renewable cell types conferring the ability to differentiate into various cellular phenotypes of the human body,including three germ *** are multipotent progenitor cells possessing self-renewal ability(limited in vitro)and differentiation potential into mesenchymal lineages,according to the International Society for Cell and Gene therapy(ISCt).this review provides an update on recent clinical applications using either hPSCs or MSCs derived from bone marrow(BM),adipose tissue(At),or the umbilical cord(UC)for the treatment of human diseases,including neurological disorders,pulmonary dysfunctions,metabolic/endocrine-related diseases,reproductive disorders,skin burns,and cardiovascular ***,we discuss our own clinical trial experiences on targeted therapies using MsCs in a clinical setting,and we propose and discuss the MSC tissue origin concept.and how MSC origin may contribute to the role of MSCs in downstream applications,with the ultimate objective of facilitating t.anslational research in regenerative medicine into clinical *** mechanisms discussed here support the proposed hypothesis that BM-MSCs are potentially good candidates for brain and spinal cord injury treatment,At-MSCs are potentially good candidates for reproductive disorder treatment.and skin regeneration,and UC-MsCs are potentially good candidates for pulmonary disease and acute respiratory distress svndrometreatment.

Investigation of Polymorphisms in Coding Region of OsHKt1in Relation to Salinity in Rice

Rice （Oryza sativa） is sensitive to salinity, but the salt tolerance level differs among cultivars,which might result from natural variations in the genes that are responsible for salt tolerance. High-affinitypotassium t.ansporter （HKts） has been proven to be involved in salt tolerance in plants. therefore, wescreened for natural nucleotide polymorphism in the coding sequence of OsHKt1, which encodes the HKtprotein in eight Vietnamese rice cultivars differing in salt tolerance level. In total, seven nucleotidesubstitutions in coding sequence of OsHKt1 were found, including two non-synonymous and five synonymoussubstitutions. Further analysis revealed that these two non-synonymous nucleotide substitutions （G50tand t1209A） caused changes in amino acids （Gly17Val and Asp403Glu） at signal peptide and the loop ofthe sixth t.ansmembrane domain, respectively. to assess the potential effect of these substitutions on theprotein function, the 3D structure of HKt protein variants was modelled by using PHYRE2 webserver. theresults showed that no difference was observed when compared those predicted 3D structure of HKtprotein variants with each other. In addition, the codon bias of synonymous substitutions cannot clearlyshow correlation with salt tolerance level. It might be interesting to further investigate the functional roles ofdetected non-synonymous substitutions as it might correlate to salt tolerance in rice.

Climate change and groundwater resources in Mekong Delta, Vietnam

Groundwater resources have considerable influences on the human population and socioeconomic development of Vietnam and the Mekong River Delta(MRD). this paper presents an overview of the relationship between climate change and groundwater in the MRD, including the challenges, strategies and technical measures. Our results showed that groundwater levels are related to other climate and hydrological variables(i.e., rainfall, river levels, etc.); therefore, the impacts of climate change on the groundwater resources of the Mekong delta are significant, especially on groundwater recharge. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that groundwater development in the future should focus on reducing groundwater harvesting, enhancing groundwater quantity by establishing artificial works and exploiting surface water. this study suggests that the Artificial Neural Network(ANN) model is an effective tool for forecasting groundwater levels in periods of 1 month and 3 months for aquifers in the natural and tidal regime areas of the delta.

In this paper,by combining the inertial technique and the gradient descent method with Polyak's stepsizes,we propose a novel inertial self-adaptive gradient algorithm to solve the split feasi-bility problem in Hilbert spaces and prove some strong and weak convergence theorems of our method under standard *** examine the performance of our method on the sparse recovery prob-lem beside an example in an infinite dimensional Hilbert space with synthetic data and give some numerical results to show the potential applicability of the proposed method and comparisons with related methods emphasize it further.

Diamond is a material of choice in the pursuit of integrated quantum photonic *** far,the majority of photonic devices fabricated from diamond are made from(100)-oriented *** this work,we demonstrate a methodology for the fabrication of optically active membranes from(111)-oriented *** use a liftoff technique to generate membranes,followed by chemical vapor deposition of diamond in the presence of silicon to generate homogenous silicon vacancy color centers with emission properties that are superior to those in(100)-oriented *** further use the diamond membranes to fabricate microring resonators with quality factors exceeding^*** by finite-difference time-domain calculations,we discuss the advantages of(111)-oriented structures as building blocks for quantum nanophotonic devices.

An Estimation Carbon Emission Reduction and Potential Finance Support of Wind Energy Plants under the Clean Development Mechanism(CDM)in Vietnam

the dissertation provides a comprehensive assessment of the potential carbon emission reduction and financial support that wind energy plants could receive under the Clean Development Mechanism（CDM）in *** research commences with a thorough review of the current state of wind energy development in Vietnam,examining the existing regulatory and policy framework governing the ***,the study evaluates the overall adoption of the CDM in Vietnam,with a specific focus on its implementation within the wind energy sector,providing an overview of the progress made thus *** establish a foundation for analysis,the research utilizes the consolidated baseline methodology to determine the current emission factor 0.8641 t CO/MWh in *** result is considered as foundation to assess the abatement of CO reduction and revenue generated through trading carbon credits in Bac Lieu wind energy plant that is a representative case study conducted under the *** Bac Lieu wind energy plant case study serves as a notable example of successful emission reduction,profit generation from carbon credit sales,and positive internal rate of return（IRR）with CDM *** analysis of this case study from 2013 to 2022demonstrates a reduction of 1,388,339.7 tons of CO2 emissions and a profit of 1053 billion VND from trading carbon credits,which significantly contributes to the project's *** inclusion of income from the CDM ensures a positive IRR（0.59%）over a 10-year operation period,whereas the absence of carbon credit sales would have resulted in a negative *** findings demonstrate that integrating the CDM into wind energy projects not only facilitates the achievement of low-carbon emission targets but also offers substantial assistance that contribute to the financial viability of these *** Bac Lieu wind energy plant stands as a successful example of a wind power project developed under the CDM in Vietnam and could serve as a model for future wind
