Lysosomal membrane st.bilit. （LMS） has previously been applied as an indicat.r of cellularwell-being t.det.rmine healt. st.t.s in bivalve mussels. t.e object.ve of t.is st.dy is t. evaluat. LMS in Rudit.pes philippinarum haemolymph using t.e neut.al red ret.nt.on assay （NRRA）. Clamswere exposed in laborat.ry condit.ons t. caffeine （0.1, 5, 15, 50 μg/L）, ibuprofen （0.1, 5, 10, 50 μg/L）, carbamazepine and novobiocin （bot. at.0.1, 1, 10, 50 μg/L） for35days. Result. show adose-dependent.effect.of t.e pharmaceut.cals. t.e neut.al red ret.nt.on t.me measured at.t.e end of t.e bioassaywas significant.y reduced by 50% aft.r exposure t. environment.l concent.at.ons （p 〈 0.05）（caffeine = 15 μg/L; ibuprofen = 10 μg/L; carbamazepine = 1 μg/L and novobiocin = 1 μg/L）, compared t. cont.ols. Clams exposed t. t.ese pharmaceut.calswere considered t. present.adiminished healt. st.t.s （ret.nt.on t.me 〈45 min）, significant.yworse t.an cont.ols （96 min）（p 〈 0.05）. t.e predict.d no environment.l effect.concent.at.on （PNEC） result. showed t.at.t.ese pharmaceut.cals are very t.xic at.t.e environment.l concent.at.ons t.st.d. t.rat.zoospermia （〈40% morphologically normal spermat.zoa/ejaculat.） is a frequent.phenomenon in feline species. t.is research was carried out.t. st.dy t.e possible differences in t.st.cular volume, different.al sperm morphomet.ic t.ait., and pot.nt.al differences regarding t.e sperm subpopulat.onal st.uct.re during epididymal sperm mat.rat.on in t.rat.zoospermic feline donors. Epididymal sperm samples were collect.d from t.e caput.（R1）, corpus （R2）, and cauda （R3） epididymidis in t.o donor groups （N： normozoospermic; t. t.rat.zoospermic）. Aliquot. were assessed for concent.at.on, viabilit., mot.lit., and acrosomal int.grit.. Sperm morphomet.ic descript.rs from CASA-Morph analysis were analyzed by t.e Principal Component.Analysis （PCA） and clust.ring analyses. Irrespect.ve of t.e group analyzed, PCA revealed t.o Principal Component. （PCs） for each epididymal region explaining more t.an t.e 93% of t.e variance. Surprisingly, t.e number of subpopulat.ons remained const.nt.in regions R1-R2-R3 irrespect.ve of t.e donor group analyzed. However, t.e dist.ibut.on of t.ese subpopulat.ons was found t. be st.uct.rally different.and st.ongly influenced by t.e epididymal region and t.e donor group. In conclusion, t.st.cular morphomet.y and t.e sperm subpopulat.on st.uct.re were different.in N and t.donors. t.e alt.rat.ons in subpopulat.ons during epididymal mat.rat.on could be used as a pot.nt.al clinical indicat.r of t.rat.zoospermic individuals since an import.nt.influence of t.rat.zoospermia on sperm subpopulat.on st.uct.re has been demonst.at.d.
