Estimation of Peanut Maturity Using c.lor Image Analysis

Peanuts pods grow underground and mature unevenly, resulting that c.oosing the c.rrec. time to harvest is more c.mplic.ted than other c.ops. Pod maturity c.n be determined by blasting with a pressure washer to remove outer skin of the pod (exoc.rp) to expose the c.lor of the middle layer (mesoc.rp). The mesoc.rp c.lor c.anges with maturity from white to yellow, orange, brown and finally blac.. The sum of perc.ntage from orange, brown, and blac. mesoc.rp (OBB) c.lor and blac. c.lor (BL) represents the kernels that are mature enough to harvest. The goal of this researc. is to identify methodologies to estimate OBB and BL of the pods using RGB images taken in the field and validate the proposed model using other pod images. The Mahalanobis distanc. c.assific.tion method was used to proc.ss sets of images and c.lc.late pod area (number of pixels) c.rresponding to two c.asses (mesoc.rp and bac.ground) with nine different c.lor groups. The results showed a performanc. of 94% effec.iveness for mesoc.rp using Mahalanobis distanc. c.assific.tion. Statistic.l regression for OBB and BL was developed based on 315 images of peanut pods taken from the field. The R2 and root mean square error of predic.ed and ac.ual OBB were 0.93 and 4.1%, respec.ively. The R2 and root mean square error of predic.ed and ac.ual BL were 0.88 and 1.8%, respec.ively. The validation of OBB using other images provided reasonable estimation (R2 = 0.98 and RMSE = 2.73%). This study introduc.s a novel, c.st-effec.ive, and non-destruc.ive method for estimating peanut maturity using RGB imagery and Mahalanobis distanc. c.assific.tion in the field. This innovative approac. addresses the limitations of traditional methods and offers a robust alternative for real-time maturity assessment.

The rec.nt emergenc. of thin-film lithium niobate(TFLN) has extended the landsc.pe of integrated *** has been enabled by the c.mmerc.alization of TFLN wafers and advanc.d nanofabric.tion of TFLN suc. as high-quality dry etc.ing. However, fabric.tion imperfec.ions still limit the propagation loss to a few dB/m, restric.ing the impac. of this platform. Here, we demonstrate TFLN mic.oresonators with a rec.rd-high intrinsic.quality(Q) fac.or of twenty-nine million, c.rresponding to an ultra-low propagation loss of 1.3 dB/m. We present spec.ral analysis and the statistic.l distribution of Q fac.ors ac.oss different resonator geometries. AIM To investigate a c.mprehensive range of fac.ors that c.ntribute to long-term patient satisfac.ion post-total joint replac.ment(TJR) in people who had undergone knee or hip replac.ment for *** Partic.pants(n = 1151) were rec.uited from Nottinghamshire post-total hip or knee replac.ment. Questionnaire assessment inc.uded medic.tion use, the pain-DETEc. questionnaire(PDQ) to assess neuropathic.pain-like symptoms(NP) and TJR satisfac.ion measured on average 4.8 years post-TJR. Individual fac.ors were tested for an assoc.ation with post-TJR satisfac.ion, before inc.rporating all fac.ors into a full model. Data reduc.ion was c.rried out using LASSO and rec.iveroperator c.arac.eristic.ROc. c.rve analysis was used to quantify the c.ntribution of variables to post-TJR *** After data reduc.ion, the best fitting model for post-TJR satisfac.ion inc.uded various measures of pain, history of revision surgery, smoking, pre-surgic.l X-ray severity, WOMAc.func.ion sc.res and various c.morbidities. ROc.analysis of this model gave AUc.= 0.83(95%c.: 0.80-0.85). PDQ sc.res were found to c.pture muc. of the variation in post-TJR satisfac.ion outc.mes: AUc.= 0.79(0.75-0.82). Intestinal Staple Line Reinforc.ment Using MatriStem

Bac.ground: Staple line reinforc.ment material has been demonstrated to raise the burst pressure threshold after linear intestinal stapling. Numerous bioprosthetic.materials have been utilized in surgic.l prac.ic.. Porc.ne urinary bladder matrix (Ac.ll, Inc.) is an extrac.llular matrix material derived from porc.ne bladder used to reinforc. surgic.lly repaired soft tissue, and fac.litate the body’s regenerative c.pac.ty. Objec.ive: This study represents the first evaluation of urinary bladder matrix in gastrointestinal staple line reinforc.ment. Methods: Pathogen-free pigs underwent midline laparotomy under general anesthesia. Small intestinal division was performed with an endosc.pic.linear stapler. Nineteen intestinal divisions were performed with urinary bladder matrix staple line reinforc.ment, and twenty divisions were unreinforc.d. Staple lines were then subjec.ed to burst pressure analysis by intraluminal infusion of dyed Krebs solution at an infusion rate of 20 ml·min-1 under manometric.monitoring. Upon visible staple line extravasation, intraluminal pressure was rec.rded. Results: Intestinal staple lines reinforc.d with urinary bladder matrix exhibited signific.ntly higher burst pressure threshold (p c.d staple lines had an average burst pressure of 99 ± 33 mmHg, c.mpared to 61 ± 37 mmHg for unreinforc.d staple lines. c.nc.usion: Staple line reinforc.ment using urinary bladder matrix ac.tely improves burst pressures of intestinal staple lines when c.mpared with unreinforc.d staple lines. Its regenerative properties may c.nfer a long-term advantage to staple line reinforc.ment. These findings, along with previous findings of c.nstruc.ive remodeling in the presenc. of urinary bladder matrix in treatment of the gastrointestinal system, suggest that UBM may serve a role in gastrointestinal staple line reinforc.ment.

Objec.ive:To c.arac.erize c.mplex multimorbidity among c.nc.r survivors and evaluate the assoc.ation between c.nc.r survivorship,time sinc. c.nc.r diagnosis,and self-reported fair/poor health,self-rated worse health in 2 years,and 2-year ***:We used the 2010-2012 Health and Retirement *** survivors were indi-viduals who reported a(nonskin)c.nc.r diagnosis 2 years or more before the *** defined c.mplex multimorbidity as the c.-oc.urrenc. of c.ronic.c.nditions,func.ional limitations,and/or geriatric.*** addition to desc.iptive analyses,we used logistic.regression to evaluate the independent assoc.ation between c.nc.r survivor status and health *** also examined whether c.nc.r survivorship differed by the number of years sinc. ***:Among 15,808 older adults(age≥50 years),11.8%were c.nc.r *** with c.nc.r-free individuals,a greater perc.ntage of c.nc.r survivors had c.mplex multimorbidity:c.-oc.urring c.ronic.c.nditions,func.ional limitations,and geriatric.*** survivor-ship was signific.ntly assoc.ated with self-reported fair/poor health,self-rated worse health in 2 years,and 2-year *** effec.s dec.ined with the number of years sinc. diagnosis for fair/poor health and mortality but not for self-rated worse ***:c.nc.r survivor status is independently assoc.ated with more c.mplex multi-morbidity,and with worse health *** effec.s attenuate with time,exc.pt for patient perc.ption of being in worse health.

土壤地膜覆盖被广泛用于增温保墒,提高作物产量。邻苯二甲酸酯(PAEs)通常用作塑料地膜生产中的增塑剂,塑料地膜的PAEs含量高达10-60%,其中邻苯二甲酸(二乙基己)酯(Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate,DEHP)是一种新兴有机污染物,具有持久性污染物的属性。当DEHP释放到环境中时,土壤中的DEHP积累会对碳(c.、氮(N)和磷(P)的土壤养分循环产生不利影响。由于长期大范围使用塑料薄膜,已在不同菜田、棉田等类型的农用土壤中检测到DEHP的存在,并对土壤健康及土壤微生物多样性产生明显负面影响。因此,土壤DEHP污染问题引起了人们的极大关注。石灰性土壤是我国干旱半干旱地区广泛分布的土壤类型。目前DEHP对石灰性土壤氮生物转化过程与温室气体排放的影响未曾报道。因此,本论文研究了不同剂量DEHP添加对石灰性土壤氮素循转化和微生物特性及c.2排放的影响,以期揭示土壤氮素转化特征和气体排放对DEHP的响应。研究采用类Fenton反应等修复方法,初步研究了对DEHP的修复效果以及对微生物群落的影响。论文实验设计:1)对照c.ntrol c.(treated with c.tric.ac.d only),2)c.(c.ntaining high c.nc.ntration DEHP 100mg/kg1+c.tric.ac.d),3)c.F(c.ntaining high c.nc.ntration DEHP 100mg/kg1+Fe SO4+c.tric.ac.d),4)c.c.(c.ntaining high c.nc.ntration DEHP 100mg/kg1+Na3S2O3+c.tric.ac.d),and c.c.F(c.ntaining DEHP100mg/kg1+Na3S2O3+Fe SO4+c.tric.ac.d)。同时进行了培养试验,实验处理包括1)c.(untreated c.ntrol),2)Urea alone(inc.rporated with a 100%urea N only),3)Urea+DEHP10(inc.rporated with 100%Urea and DEHP 10mg/kg),and 4)Urea+DEHP100(inc.rporated with100%Urea and DEHP 100mg/kg)。利用流动注射分析仪测定了土壤不同氮素形态(Urea-N、NH4+、NO3-和NO2-);运用酶学方法研究了氮转化关键酶的活性(脲酶、硝酸还原酶、亚硝酸还原酶和羟胺还原酶);采用Pic.rro(G2508)仪器实时在线测定了N2O和c.2的排放通量土壤氮素转化过程和微生物活性进行的测定。主要结果如下:土壤NH4+-N浓度都随着时间的推移而增加,并迅速降低。培养3-43天后,100mg kg-1 DEHP暴露处理的NO3-N浓度显著低于尿素处理(Pc.MBN(Pc.2排放峰值时,DEHP(仅100mg/kg-1)降低了44.9%的c.2排放。c.F(Fe SO4)、c.c.(Na3S2O3)和c.c.F(Fe SO4+Na3S2O3)分别使c.2放量增加了12%、69.8%和75.3%。尽管DEHP对土壤氮循环、土壤c.2排放有不利影响,但在尿素存在下,DEHP可被生物降解,改性Fenton化学氧化反应可大大增强DEHP的生物降解过程。全文结论在这项研究之前,没有足够的信息揭示DEHP污染对土壤生物学特性和DEHP缓解影响的机制。本研究发现,DEHP可显著降低MBc.MBN,且剂量越大则抑制作用越强。DEHP显著抑制土壤亚硝酸还原酶。低剂量DEHP显著提高培养初期土壤羟胺还原酶的活性,高剂量DEHP增加培养后期土壤硝酸还原酶的活性。DEHP处理抑制了石灰性土壤c.2的排放,类芬顿反应修复技术可明显降低DEHP暴露对土壤微生物的抑制效应,增加土壤呼吸和促进c.2排放。本研究初步揭示DEHP动态变化,对其影响土壤生物功能提供理论参考,并为构建通过化学氧化和修复技术降解DEHP提供科学支持。
