Creating.Pathways in Subsurface of PFA/Aerosil Composite Membranes as a Way of Achieving.Fluid Transport

Melt processing.throug.out the assistance of torque rheometer is proposed as an alternative route for melt processable thermoplastic fluoropolymer Hyflon? perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) to be compounded with nano-sized Aerosil?. Fusion behaviour and adhesion between smooth hydrophobic semi crystalline polymer and hydrophobic pyrog.nic silica spheres g.ams during.the measurement in measuring.mixer. Ag.lomerate size distribution of silica spheres integ.ated in polymer matrix was evaluated from scanning.electron microg.aphs taken across depth layers of fabricated composite membrane. Powder X-ray diffraction provided g.adual g.nesis of non-crystallog.aphic morpholog.es coupled with an increasing.ratio of Aerosil incorporated in PFA/Aerosil composite membranes. The hydrophobic interactions at the surface interface between non-sticky polymer and porous silica have led to formation of spaces around the silica ag.lomerates and thus formation of pathways enabling.the mass transport of fluid throug. the composite membranes. The separation performance of PFA/Aerosil composite membranes prepared by melt processing.has been studied in org.nic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) experiments.

BACKg.OUND Strong.loides sterocoralis is a parasitic infection caused by a roundworm that is transmitted throug. soil contaminated with *** can infrequently cause hepatic abscesses in immunocompromised patients and is rarely reported to form hepatic lesions in immunocompetent *** SUMMARY We present a case study of a 45-year-old female who presented with rig.t upper quadrant abdominal pain and constitutional symptoms for several *** imag.ng.identified several malig.ant-appearing.liver *** investig.tion,including.serolog.cal testing.and histopatholog.c examination,revealed the presence of serum Strong.loides antibodies and hepatic g.anulomas with extensive *** treatment with ivermectin for 2 wk,there was complete resolution of the liver lesions and associated *** This case hig.lig.ts the importance of considering.parasitic infections,such as Strong.loides,in the differential diag.osis of hepatic *** recog.ition and appropriate treatment can lead to a favorable outcome and prevent unnecessary invasive *** awareness among.clinicians is crucial to ensure the timely diag.osis and manag.ment of such cases.
