Detectors were developed for detecting irradiation in the short-wavelength ultraviolet(UVC)interval using high-quality single-crystallineα-Ga_(2)O_(3) films with pt interdigital *** films ofα-Ga_(2)O_(3) were grown on planar sapphire substrates with c-plane orientation using halide vapor phase *** spectral dependencies of the photo to dark current ratio,responsivity,external quantum efficiency and detectivity of the structures were investigated in the wavelength interval of 200−370 *** maximum of photo to dark current ratio,responsivity,external quantum efficiency,and detectivity of the structures were 1.16×10^(4) ***.,30.6 A/W,1.65×10^(4)%,and 6.95×10^(15) Hz^(0.5)·cm/W at a wavelength of 230 nm and an applied voltage of 1 *** high values of photoelectric properties were due to the internal enhancement of the photoresponse associated with strong hole ***α-Ga_(2)O_(3) film-based UVC detectors can function in self-powered operation mode due to the built-in electric field at the pt/α-Ga_(2)O_(3) *** a wavelength of 254 nm and zero applied voltage,the structures exhibit a responsivity of 0.13 mA/W and an external quantum efficiency of 6.2×10^(−2)%.The UVC detectors based on theα-Ga_(2)O_(3) films demonstrate high-speed performance with a rise time of 18 ms in self-powered mode.

GaSb-based nanowires in a gate-all-around geometry are good candidates for binary p-type transistors,however they require the introduction of compressive strain to enhance the transport ***,we for the first time demonstrate epitaxial GaSb-GaASxSb1-x core-shell nanowires with a compressively strained *** axial and hydrostatic strain in GaSb core have been measured by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Raman scattering,*** optimal sample,almost without plastic relaxation,has an axial strain of-0.88%and a hydrostatic strain of-1.46%,leading to a noticeable effect where the light hole band is calculated to be 33.4 meV above the heavy hole band at the *** valence band feature offers more light holes to contribute the transport process,and thus may provide enhanced hole mobility by reducing both the interband scattering and the hole effective *** results show that lattice-mismatched epitaxial core-shell heterostructures of high quality can also be realized in the promising yet demanding GaSb-based system.

Two-color multiphoton microscopy through wavelength mixing of synchronized lasers has been shown to increase the spectral window of excitable fluorophores without the need for wavelength ***,most currently available dual output laser sources rely on the costly and complicated optical parametric generation *** this report,we detail a relatively simple and low cost diamond Raman laser pumped by a ytterbium fiber amplifier emitting at 1055 nm,which generates a first Stokes emission centered at 1240 nm with a pulse width of 100 *** two excitation wavelengths of 1055 and 1240 nm,along with the effective two-color excitation wavelength of 1140 nm,provide an almost complete coverage of fluorophores excitable within the range of 1000–1300 *** compared with 1055 nm excitation,two-color excitation at 1140 nm offers a 90%increase in signal for many far-red emitting fluorescent proteins(for example,tdKatushka2).We demonstrate multicolor imaging of tdKatushka2 and Hoechst 33342 via simultaneous two-color two-photon,and two-color three-photon microscopy in engineered 3D multicellular *** further discuss potential benefits and applications for two-color three-photon *** addition,we show that this laser system is capable of in vivo imaging in mouse cortex to nearly 1 mm in depth with two-color excitation.

photodynamic therapy(pDT)is one of the most appealing photonic modalities for cancer treatment based on anticancer activity of light-induced photosensitizer-mediated reactive oxygen species(ROS),but a limited depth of light penetration into tissues does not make possible the treatment of deep-seated neoplasms and thus complicates its widespread clinical ***,we introduce the concept of genetically encoded bioluminescence resonance energy transfer(BRET)-activated pDT,which combines an internal light source and a photosensitizer(pS)in a single-genetic construct,which can be delivered to tumors seated at virtually unlimited depth and then triggered by the injection of a substrate to initiate their *** illustrate the concept,we engineered genetic NanoLuc-miniSOG BRET pair,combining NanoLuc luciferase flashlight and phototoxic flavoprotein miniSOG,which generates ROS under luciferase-substrate *** prove the concept feasibility in mice bearing NanoLuc-miniSOG expressing tumor,followed by its elimination under the luciferase-substrate ***,we demonstrate a targeted delivery of NanoLuc-miniSOG gene,via tumor-specific lentiviral particles,into a tumor,followed by its successful elimination,with tumor-growth inhibition(TGI)coefficient exceeding 67%,which confirms a great therapeutic potential of the proposed *** conclusion,this study provides proof-of-concept for deep-tissue“photodynamic”therapy without external light source that can be considered as an alternative for traditional pDT.

Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater reservoir of our planet and a unique natural site included in the UNESCO World Heritage ***,Baikal is not only Russia’s largest freshwater fishing ***-scale commercial fishing started here at the beginning of the 19th century and,with small breaks caused by bans imposed on commercial fishing due to depletion of valuable commercial fish species stock,continued until October 2017,when once again restrictions in the fishing industry were *** of the reasons for this was the growth of illegal,unreported and unregulated(IUU)fishing(hereinafter also referred to as“illegal fishing”)which led to depletion of the stock of ***,these restrictions neither eliminated extensive illegal fishing,nor solved the problem of rapid fish stock rebuilding in the unique *** methods of mathematical analysis and modeling this article examines factors facilitating breach of law in the fishing industry and illegal fishing for Baikal *** article provides a brief characteristic of the Baikal oldest Malomorsky fishing area as well as an eco-economic assessment of the possibility to rebuild the fish stock within this water zone taking into account the increasing tourist flow in the Baikal region.

Melt and fluid inclusions were studied in the minerals of Cenozoic olivine melanephelinites from the Chukchi peninsula, *** rock contain several generations of olivine phenocrysts varying in composition at mg=0.88～*** phenocrysts bear fluid and melt inclusions recording various stages of melt crystallization in volcanic conduits and shallow magma *** fluid inclusions are CO_2-dominated with a density of up to O.93 g/cm^*** fluid inclusions are partially leaked,which is indicated by haloes of tiny fluid bubbles around large fluid inclusions in *** inclusions contain various daughter crystals,which were completely resorbed in thermometric experiments at about 1230℃.Assuming that this temperature corresponds to the entrapment conditions of the CO_2 fluid inclusions,the minimum pressure of the beginning of magma degassing is estimated as *** in the compositions of homogenized silicate melt inclusions indicate that olivine was the earliest crystalline phase followed by clinopyroxene,nepheline and *** sequence is in agreement with the mineralogy of the *** melts are strongly enriched in incompatible trace elements and volatiles(in addition to CO_2,high C1,F,and S contents were detected).There are some differences between the compositions of melts trapped in minerals from different *** in SiO_2,FeO,and incompatible element contents are probably related to melt generations at various levels in a homogeneous mantle reservoir.
