Hybrid Triboelectric-Electromagnetic nanogenerators for Mechanical Energy Harvesting:A Review

Motion-driven electromagnetictriboelectric energy generators(E-TEnGs) hold a Hybrid triboelectric-electromagnetic generators C A Bgreat potential to provide higher voltages,higher currents and wider operating bandwidths than Cantilever generators1 μm both electromagnetic and triboelectric generators Rotating generatorsSliding generators standing alone. Therefore,they are promising solutions to autonomously supply a broad range of Flexible blade generators Magnetoelectric highly sophisticated devices. This paper provides generators a thorough review focused on major recent breaklinear generators Multidimensional generators throughs in the area of electromagnetic-triboelectric vibrational energy harvesting. A detailed Pendulum generators analysis was conducted on various architectures including rotational,pendulum,linear,sliding,cantilever,flexible blade,multidimensional and 1 cm magnetoelectric,and the following hybrid technologies. They enable highly e cient ways to harvest electric energy from many forms of vibrational,rotational,biomechanical,wave,wind and thermal sources,among others. Open-circuit voltages up to 75 V,short-circuit currents up to 60 mA and instantaneous power up to 144 mW were already achieved by these nanogenerators. Their transduction mechanisms,including proposed models to make intelligible the involved physical phenomena,are also overviewed here. A comprehensive analysis was performed to compare their respective construction designs,external excitations and electric outputs. The results highlight the potential of hybrid E-TEnGs to convert unused mechanical motion into electric energy for both large-and small-scale ***,this paper proposes future research directions toward optimization of energy conversion e ciency,power management,durability and stability,packaging,energy storage,operation input,research of transduction mechanisms,quantitative standardization,system integration,miniaturization and multi-energy hybrid cells.

Forces of RBC interaction with single endothelial cells in stationary conditions:Measurements with laser tweezers

Red blood cells(RBCs)are able to interact and communicate with endothelial cells(ECs).Under some pathological or even normal conditions,the adhesion of RBCs to the endothelium can be ***,the mechanisms and many aspects of the interaction between RBCs and ECs are not fully *** this work,we considered the interaction of single RBCs with single ECs in vitro aiming to quantitatively determine the force of this interaction using laser *** were performed under different concentrations of proaggregant macromolecules and in the presence or absence of tumor necrosis factor(TnF-α)activating the *** have shown that the strength of interaction depends on the concentration of fibrinogen or dextran proaggregant macromolecules in the environment.A nonlinear increase in the force of cells interaction(from 0.4 pn to 21 pn)was observed along with an increase in the fibrinogen con-centration(from 3 mg/ml to 9 mg/ml)in blood plasma,as well as with the addition of dextran macromolecules(from 10 mg/ml to 60 mg/ml).Dextran with a higher molecular mass(500 kDa)enhances the adhesion of RBCs to ECs greater compared to the dextran with a lower molecular mass(70 kDa).With the preliminary activation of ECs with TnF-α,the force of interaction ***,the adhesion of echinocytes to EC compared to discocytes is significantly *** results may help to better understand the process of interaction between RBCs and ECs.

For a sequence of i.i.d. Banach space-valued random variables {Xn; n ≥ 1} and a sequence of positive constants {an; n ≥ 1}, the relationship between the Baum-katz-Spitzer complete convergence theorem and the law of the iterated logarithm is investigated. Sets of conditions are provided under which （i） lim sup n→∞ ｜｜Sn｜｜/an〈∞ *** ∞ ∑n=1（1/n）P（｜｜Sn｜｜/an ≥ε〈∞for all ε 〉 λ for some constant λ ∈ [0, ∞） are equivalent;（ii） For all constants λ ∈ [0, ∞）,lim sup ｜｜Sn｜｜/an =λ *** ^∞∑ n=1（1/n） P（｜｜Sn｜｜/an ≥ε）{〈∞, if ε〉λ =∞,if ε〈λare equivalent. In general, no geometric conditions are imposed on the underlying Banach space. Corollaries are presented and new results are obtained even in the case of real-valued random variables.

In vivo and ex vivo confocal endomicroscopy of pancreatic cystic lesions: A prospective study

AIM To investigate the reproducibility of the in vivo endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)-guided needle based confocal endomicroscopy(n ClE) image patterns in an ex vivo setting and compare these to surgical histopathology for characterizing pancreatic cystic lesions(PCls). METHODS In a prospective study evaluating EUS-nC lE for evaluation of PCls, 10 subjects underwent an in vivo nC lE(AQFlex nC lE miniprobe; Cellvizio, Maunak ea, Paris, France) during EUS and ex vivo probe based ClE(pC lE) of the PCl(Gastroflex ultrahigh definition probe, Cellvizio) after surgical resection. Biopsies were obtained from ex vivo ClE-imaged areas for comparative histopathology. All subjects received intravenous fluorescein prior to EUS and pancreatic surgery for in vivo and ex vivo ClE imaging respectively. RESUlTS A total of 10 subjects(mean age 53 ± 12 years; 5 female) with a mean PCl size of 34.8 ± 14.3 mm were enrolled. Surgical histopathology confirmed 2 intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms(IPMns), 3 mucinous cystic neoplasms(MCns), 2 cystic neuroendocrine tumors(cystic-nETs), 1 serous cystadenoma(SCA), and 2 squamous lined PCls. Characteristic in vivo nC lE image patterns included papillary projections for IPMns, horizon-type epithelial bands for MCns, nests and trabeculae of cells for cystic-nETs, and a "fern pattern" of vascularity for SCA. Identical image patterns were observed during ex vivo pC lE imaging of the surgically resected PCls. Both in vivo and ex vivo ClE imaging findings correlated with surgical *** In vivo n ClE patterns are reproducible in ex vivo p ClE for all major neoplastic PCls. These findings add further support the application of EUS-nC lE as an imaging biomarker in the diagnosis of PCls.

Constitutive equation of rheology describing a phenomenological level of superplastic deformation as functional correlation between tensor components of stress and strain rate has been analyzed for the case of superplastic ceramic flow. Rheological properties of material are taken into account by means of scalar rheological coefficients of shear and volume viscosity, which are functions of temperature, effective stress (or strain rate) and density of material.

Modeling and cyclic behavior of segmental bridge column connected with shape memory alloy bars

This paper examines the quasi-static cyclic behavior, lateral strength and equivalent damping capacities of a system of post-tensioned segmental bridge columns tied with large diameter martensitic Shape Memory Alloy （SMA） link-bars. Moment-curvature constitutive relationships are formulated and analysis tools are developed for the PT column, including a modified four-spring model prepared for the SMA bars. The suggested system is exemplified using a column with an aspect ratio of 7.5 and twelve 36.5 mm diameter niTi martensitic SMA bars. A post-tensioning force of 40% to 60% of the tendon yield strength is applied in order to obtain a self re-centering system, considering the residual stress of the martensitie SMA bars. The cyclic response results show that the lateral strength remains consistently around 10% of the total vertical load and the equivalent viscous damping ratios reach 10%-12% of critical. When large diameter niTi superelastic SMA bars are incorporated into the column system, the cyclic response varies substantially. The creep behavior of the superelastic SMA bar is accounted for since it affects the re-centering capability of the column. Two examples are presented to emphasize the modeling sensitivities for these special bars and quantify their cyclic behavior effects within the column assembly.

The enthalpies of vaporization for the series of pyridinium-based ionic liquids with bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide anion [CnPy][nTf2] (n = 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6) have been determined with the quartz crystal microbalance technique combined with the langmuir evaporation. The linear dependence of vaporization enthalpies on the chain length has been revealed. new approach based on volumetric, surface tension, and speed of sound measurements has been developed for estimation of heat capacity differences between gas and liquid phase, which were required for adjustment of measured vaporization enthalpies to the ref- erence temperature 298 k.

In this paper,we present impedance spectroscopy of Sodium Bismuth Titanate-based materials belonging to(1-x)Tna_(1/2)Bi_(1/2)TiO_(3)-xBaTiO_(3)(x=0.04)(nBT-BT)***-BT ceramics are prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction method.X-ray diffraction technique showed single-phase polycrystalline sample with an ABO3 perovskite *** behavior and the impedance relaxation were investigated in a wide range of temperature(room temperature(RT)-500℃)and frequency(1 kHz-1 MHz).A broad dielectric constant peak was observed over a wide temperature range around the phase transition *** complex impedance plot exhibited one impedance semicircle identified over the frequency range of 1 kHz-1MHz,which is explained by the grain effect of the *** centers of the impedance semicircles lie below the real axis,which indicates that the impedance response is a Cole-Cole type relaxation.
