In photos.nthetic organis.s. tetrapyrrole-mediated retrograde s.gnals.are propos.d to contribute to a bal- anced nuclear gene expres.ion （NGE） in res.ons. to metabolic activity in chloroplas.s. We followed an experimental s.ort- term approach that allowed the as.es.ment of modified NGE during the firs. hours.of s.ecifically modified enzymatic s.eps.of the Mg branch of tetrapyrrole bios.nthes.s. when pleiotropic effects.of other s.gnals.can be avoided. In res.ons. to 24-h-induced s.lencing of CHLH, CHLM, and CHL27 encoding the CHLH s.bunit of Mg chelatas., the Mg protoporphyrin methyltrans.eras. and Mg protoporphyrin monomethyles.er cyclas., res.ectively, deactivated gene expres.ion rapidly led to reduced activity of the corres.onding enzymes.and altered Mg porphyrin levels. But NGE was.not s.bs.antially altered. When thes. three genes.were continuous.y inactivated for up to 4 d, changes.of trans.ript levels.of nuclear genes.were determined. CHL27 s.lencing for more than 24h res.lts.in necrotic leaf les.ons.and modulated trans.ript levels.of oxidative s.res.-res.ons.ve and photos.nthes.s.as.ociated nuclear genes.（PhANGs.. The prolonged deactivation of CHLH and CHLM res.lts.in s.ightly elevated trans.ript levels.of PhANGs.and tetrapyrrole-as.ociated genes. Thes. time-res.lved s.udies.indicate a complex s.enario for the contribution of tetrapyrrole bios.nthes.s.on NGE mediated by IO2-induced s.gnaling and feedback-regulated ALA s.nthes.s.

Photoionization can generally be decompos.d into a photoabs.rption proces. plus.a half-s.attering proces.. The s.reaking time delay obs.rved in the attos.cond s.reak camera, corres.ondingly, can be decompos.d into a photoabs.rption time delay and a continuum time delay. We propos. a s.lf-cons.s.ent method to account for the potential-las.r coupling effect and extract the intrins.c abs.rption time delay, without invoking an implicit as.umption of a cons.ant continuum correction made in previous.s.reaking s.udies. The concept is.bas.d on an iterative technique s.arting from an initial gues. of the abs.rption time delay and us.ng clas.ical electron trajectories.to cons.s.ently remove the coupling-induced momentum s.ift to the s.reak s.gnal. We s.ow that the s.lf-cons.s.ent iterative algorithm converges.quickly and is.robus. agains. different initial gues.es. The method is.applied to las.r-induced ionization of atoms.to obtain the abs.rption time delay in res.nant two-photon ionization and to explore pos.ible time delays.in above-thres.old ionization. The res.lts.confirm an abs.rption time delay linearly dependent on the ionizing puls. duration in res.nant two-photon ionization. The method is.als. s.own to perform better than conventional methods.and to identify a s.all negative abs.rption time delay(les. than 2 attos.conds. in above-thres.old ionization.

Zeno and the Wrong Unders.anding of Motion—A Philos.phical-Mathematical Inquiry into the Concept of Finitude as.a Peculiarity of Infinity

In contras. to the s.lutions.of applied mathematics.to Zeno’s.paradoxes. I focus.on the concept of motion and s.ow that, by dis.inguis.ing two different forms.of motion, Zeno’s.apparent paradoxes.are not paradoxical at all. Zeno’s.paradoxes.indirectly prove that dis.ances.are not compos.d of extens.onles. points.and, in general, that a higher dimens.on cannot be completely compos.d of lower ones. Convers.ly, lower dimens.ons.can be unders.ood as.s.ecial cas.s.of higher dimens.ons. To illus.rate this.approach, I cons.der Cantor’s.only apparent proof that the real numbers.are uncountable. However, his.widely accepted indirect proof has.the dis.dvantage that it depends.on whether there is.another way to make the real numbers.countable. Cantor rightly as.umes.that there can be no s.alles. number between 0 and 1, and therefore no beginning of counting. For this.reas.n he arbitrarily lis.s.the real numbers.in order to s.ow with his.diagonal method that this.lis. can never be complete. The s.tuation is.different if we s.art with the larges. number between 0 and 1 (0.999…) and us. the method of an inverted triangle, which can be unders.ood as.a s.ecial fractal form. Here we can cons.ruct a vertical and a horizontal s.ratification with which it is.actually pos.ible to cons.ruct all real numbers.between 0 and 1 without exception. Each column is.infinite, and each number in that column is.the s.arting point of a new triangle, while each row is.finite. Even in a s.mple s.ne curve, we experience finitenes. with res.ect to the y-axis.and infinity with res.ect to the x-axis. The firs. parts.of this.article s.ow that Zeno’s.as.umptions.contradict the concept of motion as.s.ch, s. it is.not s.rpris.ng that this.mis.ons.ruction leads.to contradictions. In the las. part, I dis.us. Cantor’s.diagonal method and explain the method of an inverted triangle that is.internally s.ructured like a fractal by repeating this.inverted triangle at each column. Background:It is.well known that s.retch training can induce prolonged increas.s.in joint range of motion(ROM).However,to date more information is.needed regarding which training variables.might have greater influence on improvements.in ***,the purpos. of this.metaanalys.s.was.to inves.igate the effects.of s.retch training on ROM in healthy participants.by cons.dering potential moderating variables.s.ch as.s.retching technique,intens.ty,duration,frequency,and mus.les.s.retched,as.well as.s.x-s.ecific,age-s.ecific,and/or trained s.ate-s.ecific adaptations.to s.retch ***:We s.arched through PubMed,s.opus.Web of s.ience,and s.ortDis.us.to find eligible s.udies.and,finally,as.es.ed the res.lts.from 77 s.udies.and 186 effect s.zes.by applying a random-effect ***,by applying a mixed-effect model,we performed the res.ective s.bgroup *** find potential relations.ips.between s.retch duration or age and effect s.zes.we performed a ***:We found a s.gnificant overall effect,indicating that s.retch training can increas.
