The Puna grasslands support grazing systems that produce meat and wool in multi-species herds,especially from llama(Lama glama)and ***,it is yet unknown whether grazing pressure can modify grassland structure and Plant Functional Types diversity and cover in Puna *** analyzed the relationship between grazing pressure and Plant Functional Types by comparing transects located near stockyards(high grazing pressure)and far from them(low pressure)and by evaluating the relationship between the Plant Functional Types cover to a Grazing Pressure Index(GPI).This index incorporates the heterogeneity of traditional pastoral *** two ecological sites(Ciénego and Tolar),we sampled paired transects(near-far).Plots near and far from corrals were similar in all the variables measured except for plots in Tolar,which tend to have higher total cover,possibly due to fecal fertilization near ***,we recorded an increase in total cover and grass cover at higher GPI in Ciénego,while in Tolar we found lower values of total cover and herbaceous dicotyledonous cover at intermediate intensities of *** only negative relationship found was the cover of clonal and non-clonal shrubs,possibly explained by the greater use of these shrubs as firewood near *** summary,our study does not show important changes in Plant Functional Types as a function of grazing pressure in the studied grasslands probably because grazing pressure is diluted or diminished when livestock rotates in different areas and grazing durations ***,the long grazing history with which the Puna has evolved could also contribute to the co-structuration between native vegetation and livestock farming.

Lactose obtained from cheese whey is a low value commodity despite its great potential as raw material for the production of bioactive *** them,prebiotics stand out as valuable ingredients to be added to food matrices to build up functional foods,which currently represent the most active sector within the food *** foods market has been growing steadily in the recent decades along with the increasing awareness of the World population about healthy nutrition,and this is having a strong impact on lactose-derived *** of them are produced by enzyme biocatalysis because of molecular precision and environmental sustainability *** current status and outlook of the production of lactose-derived bioactive compounds is presented with special emphasis on downstream operations which are critical because of the rather modest lactose conversion and product yields that are *** though some of these products have already an established market,there are still several challenges referring to the need of developing better catalysts and more cost-effective downstream operations for delivering high quality products at affordable *** technological push is expected to broaden the spectrum of lactose-derived bioactive compounds to be produced at industrial scale in the near future.

Our current understanding about the As level topology of the Internet is based on measurements and inductive-type models which set up rules describing the behavior （node and edge dynamics） of the individual Ases and generalize the consequences of these individual actions for the complete As ecosystem using induction. In this paper we suggest a third, deductive approach in which we have premises for the whole As system and the consequences of these premises are determined through deductive reasoning. We show that such a deductive approach can give complementary insights into the topological properties of the As graph. While inductive models can mostly reflect high level statistics （e.g., degree distribution, clustering, diameter）, deductive reasoning can identify omnipresent subgraphs and peering likelihood. We also propose a model, called YEAs, incorporating our deductive analytical findings that produces topologies contain both traditional and novel metrics for the As level Internet.

Anthropomorphic hands have received increasing research interest in the fields of robotics and *** it is not yet clear how to evaluate their *** in the kinematic chain is essential to achieve both functionality and cosmesis.A few previous works have addressed the definition of anthropomorphism indexes,although they have some limitations in its *** this study,three different anthropomorphism indexes have been defined to compare the kinematic chain of artificial hands with that of the human *** indexes are based on the comparison of:(I)the parameters of the kinematic chain(dimensions,type of joints,orientations and ranges of motion),(2)the reachable workspace,and(3)common grasping *** artificial hands with different degrees of anthropomorphism have been compared using the three Anthropomorphism Indexes of the Kinematic Chain(AIKC).The results show a high correlation between the first and third AIKC for the hands *** second AIKC presents much lower values than the other two,although they are higher for hands that combine abduction/adduction and flexion/extension movements in the kinematic chain of each *** indexes can be useful during the initial stage of designing artificial hands or evaluating their anthropomorphism.

We study the slow dynamics of hydration water upon cooling in two different biological aqueous solutions,one containing a molecule of lysozyme and another with trehalose *** particular we test if the glassy behaviour of these solutions fulfils the predictions of the popular Mode Coupling Theory of glassy *** particular we test the Time Temperature superposition Principle and the matching of the exponents of the *** results confirm that this theory is able to describe the dynamical behaviour of supercooled water also in non ideal cases as the ones under investigation in the region of mild supercooling.

Twenty percent of genital traumas are caused by penetrating injuries; accordingly gunshot and stab wounds have increased in the last couple of years around the globe, even in Colombia. A 67-year-old male patient was admitted to the emergency room because he received multiple gunshot wounds. On physical examination, multiple wounds on his penis with loss of tissue in the foreskin, glans, anterior urethra(distal third) and cavernous corpora were found. The urologist performed a partial penectomy with a penis reconstruction, he debrided the cutaneous flap of the dorsal foreskin and its glans, sutured the distal cavernous corpora and dissected the urethra. Penetrating genital injuries are extremely important due to their impact on the functional, psychological and the aesthetic consequences. It is necessary to define the best possible treatment to minimize the damage.

The emerging field of soundscape ecology views ecosystems in terms of biophony, geophony and anthrophony. soundscape ecology considers the effects of sound on fauna, and this research focuses on anuran breeding lek soundscapes. The sensitivity of anuran breeding leks to acoustic disturbances makes breeding leks an important venue for a comparative soundscape study. We made long-term（〉 24 h） sound recordings in three representative wetlands and short-term（〈 30 min） recordings in ten sites in the Pannonian Biogeographical Region of Hungary and around the Hungary and slovakia border. Long-term soundscapes of the floodplain stretch, where there is relatively minor anthrophonical disturbance, showed an obvious circadian change in sound intensities. The site with moderate sound contamination exhibited a disturbed pattern of circadian sound variation, while the site with heavy traffic noise displayed an apparently random temporal soundscape. At different amphibian breeding sites during mating season, our short-term recordings were dominated by anuran calls, bird songs and wind noises, while insect calls and rain were present to a lesser degree. Our study indicates that vehicle traffic noise is a severe imposition to the natural soundscape, and suggests that soundscape monitoring can provide a reliable and sensitive index of environmental change for both short-term and long-term periods.

The species Vigna unguiculata L.(Walp),commonly known as cowpea,is a multi-purpose legume that has been selected into three subspecies that are divided into grain,fodder and pod(yardlong bean)***,genetic bases for distinctions are not well *** purpose of this study was to apply genotyping-by-sequencing(GBs)and current reference genome for *** to distinguish three subspecies and identify signatures of *** collection of 130 accessions included 128 cultivated from:1)***,fodder type;2)***,pod vegetable type;and 3)***,grain *** wilds genotypes from *** and ***,were used to anchor phylogeny.A total of 11,083 highly informative single nucleotide polymorphisms(sNPs)were *** accessions showed distinct genetic fingerprints and were separated from cultivated *** component analysis showed closer relationship between *** and *** compared to *** differentiation of cultivated subspecies(with Fixation Index,FsT)indicated the existence of discrete signatures of *** work clarifies the population structure,phylogeny,and domestication of cultivated ***,significant genetic differences between grain and pod vegetable types can provide valuable information for future breeding in three cowpea groups.

Eosinophilic esophagitis is an immune-allergic pathology of multifactorial etiology(genetic and environmental)that affects both pediatric and adult *** symptoms,which include heartburn,regurgitation,and esophageal stenosis(with dysphagia being more frequent in eosinophilic esophagitis in young adults and children),are similar to those of gastroesophageal reflux disease,causing delays in diagnosis and *** endoscopic findings such as furrows,esophageal mucosa trachealization,and whitish exudates may suggest its presence,this diagnosis should be confirmed histologically based on the presence of more than 15 eosinophils per high-power field and the exclusion of other causes of eosinophilia(parasitic infections,hypereosinophilic syndrome,inflammatory bowel disease,among others)for which treatment could be ***,the 3“D”s(“Drugs,Diet,and Dilation”)are considered the fundamental components of *** first 2 components,which involve the use of proton pump inhibitors,corticosteroids,immunosuppressants and empirical diets or guided food elimination based on allergy tests,are more useful in the initial phases,whereas endoscopic dilation is reserved for esophageal ***,the most important aspects of eosinophilic esophagitis pathophysiology will be reviewed,in addition to evidence for the various treatments.
