The stomatog.athic system (SS) is a functional unit of the body that depends on the balance of several tissues. It consists of various structures, including.the temporomandibular joint. Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) can occur due to alterations in the SS. The Fonseca Anamnestic Index (FAI) is a scale used to evaluate and to characterize the TMD Type: no DTM, mild, moderate and severe. The aim is to evaluate the prevalence of sig.s and symptoms related to TMD in university students of the Parque das Rosas Campus, Universidade Estácio de Sá that practice sports. This investig.tion was approved (CAAE number 325678413.9.0000.5284). Two hundred eig.th students (110 male and 98 female, ag.d 19 - 35 years) accepted to be in this investig.tion. All the participants answered a g.neral Questionnaire (g.) and the FAI. The g. had questions about the ag., sex and the presence of TMD. The FAI was used. A statistical difference (p > 0.05) was not found about the presence of TMD. Among.the female, an elevated number of the students with sig.al or symptoms related to the temporomandibular with statistic sig.ificance (p observed. In the population without TMD, the prevalence of this disorder is hig.er between male than female. Considering.the FAI, among.the female students, there is a prevalence of the Mild Type. Considering.the evaluation of the type of TMD among.the male and female students no difference was found between male and female to the types mild and moderate, however, the prevalence of the severe Type is hig.er in female than in male with statistical sig.ificance. In conclusion, TMD is a relevant clinical condition with an important prevalence among.the university students. Moreover, the type of the TMD could be considered due to prevalence of the Type Severe among.the women.

The Intertropical Converg.nce Zone(ITCZ)is a key atmospheric system on a g.obal scale,primarily driven by trade wind converg.nce near the *** ITCZ plays a crucial role in modulating.the climate of the borders of tropical continental *** instance,Northeastern Brazil experiences a climate influenced by the ITCZ over the Atlantic *** some periods,the ITCZ exhibits double bands,known as the double *** the features of the ITCZ have been described using.various approaches and atmospheric variables,there is still a lack of reg.onal studies focusing.on the ITCZ and double ITCZ in the Atlantic *** this context,the main g.als of this study are(1)to describe a simple alg.rithm based on precipitation to identify the ITCZ and double ITCZ,(2)to present a climatolog.(1997-2022)of the position,width,and intensity of these two convective bands,and(3)to investig.te variabilities in the ITCZ characteristics associated with anomalies of sea surface temperature(SST)in the tropical Pacific and Atlantic *** double ITCZ typically occurs southward of the main cloud band,and between February and April,both bands are more distant(~4.5°).In the western sector of the Atlantic ocean,the ITCZ and its double band extend to more southerly latitudes in austral *** the entire Atlantic basin,the annual mean of the latitudinal position,width,and intensity of the ITCZ is 4.9°N,4.2°,and 11 mm/day,respectively,while for the double ITCZ,it is 0.4°N,2.6°,10.3 mm/day,*** the SST anomalies in the Pacific ocean(El Niño and La Niña episodes)affect more the ITCZ width,the SST anomalies in the Tropical South Atlantic affect both its position and width.

An unsupervised machine-learning.workflow is proposed for estimating.fractional landscape soils and veg.tation components from remotely sensed hyperspectral *** workflow is applied to Eo-1 Hyperion satellite imag.ry collected near Ibirací,Minas g.rais,*** proposed workflow includes subset feature selection,learning.and estimation *** training.with landscape feature class realizations provide a hypersurface from which to estimate mixtures of soil(e.g.0.5 exceedance for pixels:75%clay-rich Nitisols,15%iron-rich Latosols,and 1%quartz-rich Arenosols)and veg.tation(e.g.0.5 exceedance for pixels:4%Aspen-like trees,7%Blackberry-like trees,0%live g.ass,and 2%dead g.ass).The process correctly maps forests and iron-rich Latosols as being.coincident with existing.drainag.s,and correctly classifies the clay-rich Nitisols and g.asses on the intervening.*** classifications are independently corroborated visually(g.og.e Earth)and quantitatively(random soil samples and crossplots of field spectra).Some mapping.challeng.s are the underestimation of forest fractions and overestimation of soil fractions where steep valley shadows exist,and the under representation of classified g.ass in some dry areas of the Hyperion *** preliminary results provide impetus for future hyperspectral studies involving.airborne and satellite sensors with hig.er sig.al-to-noise and smaller footprints.

The g.owing.search for clean and renewable energ. sources has g.ven rise to the studies of exploring.sea wave energ.. This paper is concerned with the numerical evaluation of the main operational principle of a submerg.d plate employed for the conversion of wave energ. into electrical one. The numerical model used to solve the conservation equations of mass, momentum and transport of volume fraction is based on the finite volume method （FVM）. In order to tackle with the flow of mixture of air-water and its interaction with the device, the multiphase model volume of fluid （VoF） is employed. The purpose of this study is the evaluation of a numerical model for improvement of the knowledg. about the submerg.d plate wave energ. converter, as well as the investig.tion of the effect of the distance from the plate to the bottom of the sea （HP） on the performance of the converter. The simulations for several distances of the plate from the seabed show that the optimal efficiency is 64%, which is obtained for HP=0.53 m （88% of the depth）. This efficiency is 17% larg.r than that found in the worst case （HP=0.46 m, 77% of the depth）.

Remoras are commensal fish of various marine species,such as sharks,swordfishes,turtles,dolphins,manta rays and *** specimen of marlin sucker Remora osteochir was evaluated using.computed tomog.aphy for skeletal dig.tal reconstruction,dig.tal radiolog. for g.neral evaluation and bone counting.and the double contrast technique to disting.ish coelomic *** radiog.aphic imag.s,it was possible to observe otoliths in the center of the neurocranium,to count 27 vertebrae,nine pairs of ribs,and to detect the presence of the hipural and epural bones near of the caudal *** double contrast imag.s,it was possible to visualize the swim bladder,g.lls,heart,liver,stomach and *** the tomog.aphic imag.s and reconstructions,it was possible to identify the intercalar bones of the cephalic disc;the spine with vertebral bodies composed of neural arches and ventral ribs;and the pectoral g.rdle formed by posttemporal,cleithrum and scapulocoracoid *** was concluded that dig.tal radiolog. and computed tomog.aphy were able to describe anatomical structures of marlin sucker *** without the need for dissection.

Wildfires have environmental,economic,and social impacts,and can shape the landscape and benefit ecosystems such as the *** study evaluated the diversity,similarity,and floristic and structural differences of woody savanna and forest formations of the Cerrado,when affected and not affected by ***-eig.t 25-400m2 plots were randomly allocated and divided into Burnt Cerrado and Unburnt Cerrado,Burnt Forest,and Unburnt Forest,and divided into three levels of inclusion according.to diameter class(smaller than 2 cm,2-5 cm and larg.r than5 cm).Species were identified,DBH and heig.t measured,and phyto sociolog.cal parameters such as volume,diversity,and floristic similarity *** Cerrado had lower diversity,density,and dominance at all inclusion levels compared to the Unburnt Cerrado,and showed similarities between treatments at the inclusion *** Forest had smaller differences in diversity,density,and dominance than Unburnt *** formation was similar at level 1 of inclusion and in the total ***,it was dissimilar at lower *** lower density and diversity of species at the lowest levels of inclusion was associated with mortality from fire.

Hemang.omas are the most frequent benig. tumors of the liver. Most hemang.omas are asymptomatic and therefore larg.ly diag.osed only in routine screening.tests. Usually they are small and require no specific treatment. In some situations they can reach g.eat dimensions, causing.some discomfort to the patient. Resection of liver hemang.oma is indicated in cases of g.eat dimension tumors causing.symptoms such as pain, nausea or bloating.caused by compression of adjacent org.ns. We report a case of a rare g.ant hemang.oma with rapid g.owth in short time:a 50 year old female reported to our institution with a 40 cm g.ant liver hemang.oma and then underwent a left hepatectomy.

AIM:To investig.te the association between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) and liver cancer,and NAFLD prevalence in different liver ***:This is a retrospective study of the clinical,laboratory and histolog.cal data of 120 patients diag.osed with primary or secondary hepatic neoplasms and treated at a tertiary center where they underwent hepatic resection and/or liver transplantation,with subsequent evaluation of the explant or liver *** following.criteria were used to exclude patients from the study:a history of alcohol abuse,hepatitis B or C infection,no tumor detected in the liver tissue examined by histolog.cal analysis,and the presence of chronic autoimmune hepatitis,hemochromatosis,Wilson's disease,or *** occurrence of NAFLD and the association with its known risk factors were *** risk factors considered were diabetes mellitus,impaired g.ucose tolerance,impaired fasting.g.ucose,body mass index,dyslipidemia,and arterial *** of reticulin fibers in the hepatic neoplasms was assessed by histolog.cal analysis using.slide-mounted specimens stained with either hematoxylin and eosin or Masson's trichrome and silver *** of tumor-free liver parenchyma was carried out to determine the association between NAFLD and its histolog.cal ***:No difference was found in the association of NAFLD with the g.neral population(34.2% and 30.0% respectively,95%CI:25.8-43.4).Evaluation by cancer type showed that NAFLD was more prevalent in patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer than in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholang.ocarcinoma(oR = 3.99,95%CI:1.78-8.94,P oR = 0.60,95%CI:0.18-2.01,P = 0.406 and oR = 0.70,95%CI:0.18-2.80,P = 0.613,respectively).There was a hig.er prevalence of liver fibrosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(oR = 3.50,95%CI:1.06-11.57,P = 0.032).Evaluation of the relationship between the presence of NAFLD,nonalcoholi
